Great service! There weren't too many other diners while we were there but a few people coming/going for takeout orders. Food came out promptly and was delicious! Flavorful and unique combinations in the pumpkin curry and khao soi. Nice and generous portion after a day of hiking and driving! read more

Janyas Thai Cuisine was one of our stops in Redding. They are one of the many Thai restaurants in this small city. We ordered takeout. We ordered their fried rice, a pad thai, and their BBQ chicken. While waiting for the food, I couldn't help but notice how busy they were. Their rice and pad thai were surprisingly good. The BBQ chicken was interesting as they served it skinless and boneless. It was tasty though. I'd stick with their rice or noodle dishes next time. It's a good place with average prices for this kind of food. read more

Another great meal at Janyas. We enjoy the service and quality of food. The dining room is open but even full the restaurant is quiet. I had the pork belly buns and Pho. Both were fresh and delicious. All of the plates that came to our table were hot and presented well. According to the others at the table everyone enjoyed their meals and some hade leftovers. I'm looking forward to having my wife's left over curry. The menu is filled with great options, I suggest checking it out on line before going. read more

Suuuuch incredible Thai food - super fresh, flavorful, and, if you like heat, they due a true Thai spice! I'm vegan and it's so refreshing to find a place in Redding that knows what vegan is and shows what items are or can be made vegan on the menu! This is honestly one of my favorite Thai places I've ever been to and I've been to many! Also, the staff is always so friendly! Price is super reasonable for the portion sizes! Highly recommend! read more

Get the pumpkin curry. If I could choose any food in the world to eat right now, I would choose the pumpkin curry. Eating this after a long day at work is so satisfying and therapeutic. It was rejuvenating. Service was solid, our server was great to us, got nothing to complain about. Will be coming back next time :) read more

The pumpkin curry is super tasty! We usually get it to go but the staff is always kind and they greet you with a smile! The ambiance is kind of out dated and rather old thus the reason we do pick up:) read more

Janya's used to be my favorite place in town to get a meal. I was really sad to say though that today's meal was literally a 1-star experience unfortunately - I'm not sure if they changed chefs but they gave me the wrong main dish, made another dish incorrectly, and both appetizer and the eggplant dish were so salty it was difficult to eat while the other dish had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. The dish featuring crab had literally 3 small pieces of crab; and the dish featuring eggplant had literally 6 small pieces of eggplant! It definitely wasn't worth the cost or aggravation. A bad meal is a bad meal, unfortunately. I hope this was an "off" day but with this many problems in one meal there's probably been a change in culinary staff. The waiter was also new, very nice but didn't know the menu and made mistake after mistake. I hope they will pay attention to keep loyal customers. read more

Stopped by this restaurant for a quick family dinner during our vacation. From the outside, it look like much and the location itself was kind of odd and in the middle of nowhere. The inside of the restaurant was fairly clean but also small. It's quiet. The waiters and staff were very friendly and accommodated our big party. Their pho was actually really good considering it was a thai restaurant. The broth was flavorful and good portion of noodles and meat. Their curry was okay. Overall it's decent for where it's located. read more

Favorite Thai in Redding We have eaten at Janyas' multiple times and have always enjoyed our food. It's one place where I never order the same thing twice and have yet to be even a little disappointed. The food is really very good, service is quick and the servings are enough for at least two meals. Highly recommend Janyas. read more

so disappointed- our first time here. Dry noodles, no peanuts with a small amount of sprouts. We were charged dinner prices at 1 pm so 18$ for a plate of noodles. Thank you this will save us a bunch of money in future. read more

Came in on an early Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located in a sleepy shopping center in a sleepy area of town. It's quite small and the tables filled quickly. It's nice and cool inside. There were 2 waitresses with a party going on and service felt delayed. We ordered the spring rolls, chicken pad prig king and beef pad kee mao. I recommend the spring roll appetizer. It was cooked fresh and came with a little side of salad. The pad prig king was also delicious and full of robust flavors. I was worried this dish would be overly sweet like it sometimes can be at other Thai restaurants but it was not. The beef pad kee mao came out overcooked and the noodles had been cooked to bits. There were just a handful of intact noodles in the whole dish, we weren't able to scoop anything up with a fork and tried our best to eat the dish with a spoon. Nevertheless, the flavor was good. read more

Really enjoyed getting lunch here. The service was good but only one person around. We got a lot of food and the portions were quite generous. It was very tasty. They had a good vegetarian option as well. I suggest all vegetarians to pick the vegan options cause they will still add the dish sauce even if it's vegetarian. Will be sure to come back here again! read more

We ordered take out. We set the time to give us a little extra to stop at another store. It was clear that they didn't wait to cook the food. It was a solid block of noodles. We got Pad Thai, and didn't know that "House Pad Thai" was not normal. It has curry in it and It was inedible! We called and they told us that we ordered house Pad Thai, that it was our mistake and they wouldn't do anything to fix it. We won't be back, ever! I hope the cost of one terrible dish was worth the loss of a customer and this review. read more

First time in Redding and craving Asian food badly! This place did not disappoint, everything was delicious, can't wait to come try more next time. The staff was so friendly and accommodating for my family's party of 32. They were quick to get us setup and got our food out as fast as they could, some dishes took longer than expected but understandable considering our party size and other guests. They were also very accommodating with seperate checks. All the dishes I ordered I loved. This is legit Thai food, come check them out! read more

Came in solo on a whim after getting a pedi next door (Beautiful Nails did a beautiful job!). Had a good feeling from the casual vibe and and welcoming staff. Sat down with the menu and had delicious fresh rolls with all the good herbs and crunchy bits, romaine lettuce is always nice. Best of all there are TWO generous portions of delicious sauces! Peanut and a homemade tamarind sauce (I ate both sauces with a spoon when I ran out of rolls). Mango sticky rice was delicious and great portions. Everything on the menu looked appealing and Al the dishes smelled amazing. Place would be great for kids and families, lots of space and some noise wouldn't really matter. Was tidy too. I might come back tomorrow with the fam before we head out of town. read more

Placed an order for delivery through Uber Eats and ordered the yellow curry with soft tofu and jasmine rice. I even called the restaurant to ensure it was tofu and it's handwritten on the receipt. We came here to Janyas Thai Cuisine to check out the Thai food scene here in Redding. I know there aren't as many Thai places to choose from compared to the Sacramento area, but I was hoping there might be at least some good places. Janyas came through with good service and decent food. The food selection was most of you normal dishes you'll see in most American Thai restaurants, with Pad Thai, Satays, and curries of different colors as well as many stir fries with you choice of meats. We decided to try the eggplant dish, the BBQ pork and the duck curry. I'll have to say my least fave was the BBQ pork and my most fave was the duck curry. The duck was a decent amount, so no skimping on the duck! The egg plant had a nice flavor, but the BBQ pork was a little on the dry side. There's a lot of other items on the menu, that I'd be willing to come back and try out. read more

Best Thai food I've had in a while. Restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean, service was excellent we never had an empty glass of water. The pad Thai sauce was amazing!
