Wanted to leave this review after I spent some time in Thailand and have to say the menu items we ordered were just as good as any of the better dishes I had in Chiang Rai in the north or Phang Nga province in Southern Thailand. We ordered Nuer Prik Sod and the Thai House Special...both with beef. The meat was not even edible it was so overcooked and dry. Both dishes were floating in a watery brown greasy fluid...the Prik Sod was ordered to medium spice so the "broth" was spicier than the House Special. Otherwise, these were both very flavorless meals. We ordered the food from Uber Eats so I cannot speak to the service of the restaurant or the ambience. Our food arrived hot though, so our U.E. So I stumbled​ across this Thai restaurant​ the other day and I'm​ not mad at all that I did. It's​ in a small plaza so you would miss it on the major​ street. You would need to turn in to see it. Once you get there you'll see its a really quiet​ area with lots of parking. So anyway This Thai spot is sooooo freaking good. The food is really authentic​ and it's always fresh. My favorite dish is the Fancy Thai fried​ rice. It comes with shrimp, chicken,​ and pork. It's​ beyond delicious​ and they're​ very generous​ with the portion​. I found one piece of long, black hair cooked into my food. Grossed me out, but decided to just ignore it and continue with my meal. Until I found ANOTHER long black piece of hair cooked into the next bite. I simply couldn't ignore it. I am a blonde, so I know for a fact this is not my hair. I'm typically not one to complain, but I called the restaurant and let them know. Absolutely revolting. They assured me that the kitchen wears hairnets, but I'm not so sure that's entirely true. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Columbus, Ga. Definitely recommend trying it out if your craving some Thai food in the area. It's small and cute in the inside which gives a very homey feeling. We ordered grilled chicken and beef sticks as our appetizers (not pictured due to hungry friends). I got the panang chicken with medium spice level. (Ranges from mild, medium, extra spicy). I should've gotten the third level as it wasn't as spicy for me but you can always ask for pepper flakes to add. Portions were nice and I was able to have a lot extra for another meal. Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food with friendly service. Our food came out quickly after we ordered it and we couldn't help ourselves but to devour it all in a short time. We started with both the spring roll and fried vegetables appetizer which were served with a sweet chili sauce. They came out hot and were beyond my expectations with taste. The spring rolls had a good assortment of veggies and meat and were seasoned to perfection and the batter on the veggies was crispy and flavorful. I liked that you could tell the veggies were cooked before the were battered since they weren't tough at all. I gotta say, I finally got a Pad Thai that didn't taste like straight up peanut butter was mixed it. Yes, it was still covered in peanuts but it definitely wasn't the main flavor coming through. I want to give this place 3.5 for sure. The Thai iced tea is excellent, most places just pile on the condensed milk but it was a good mix of tea and milk. The spring rolls were good, again it was rolled with shrimp and pork and they certainly didn't skimp on the shrimp. I ordered the green curry and they asked me how spicy I wanted it: mild, medium, hot or Thai hot. Knowing how incendiary Thai food can be I went with 'hot,' to get the spice and play it a little on the safe side. When I got the dish in a huge bowl with a bit of rice-which seems to be de rigueur for Thai restaurants the curry was a pale creamy color, too much coconut milk, now that I think about it might explain the mildness in the curry. If I lived in the area I would go back to eat here, the food is tasty, the service is very good but I'd probably try something else, maybe curry isn't their thing. read more

My gf said it felt like there were some spices missing and it was toned down. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. Don't let the small size deceive you - it's really true, size doesn't matter. The owner took the time to talk with us, share specials, and talk about Thai food in general. He offered to customize (ingredients, heat level, etc.) any dish. The service was attentive and quick. Thai House has been my go-to while spending some time at Sweetbriar Smokeshop. It was quick and easy. Thai House has now permanently lost my business because of their decision to battle the customers of the longest operating cigar shop in Georgia. Sweetbriar has been there for decades, yet Thai House ownership complains about the cigar smoke from patrons on a bench, outside of Sweetbriar's window, even when they have no customers in the restaurant. That's like moving in next to the airport and complaining about the noise. Shame on you, Thai House. You've lost me as a customer. read more

We used to love a night out at Thai House. So much changed so quickly and we are now looking for a new Thai place. First of all, a cigar smoking store opened next door and now Thai House smells like a cigar ash tray. Lately, too, they've had a lot of turnover in the wait staff, which got steadily worse and worse. Most recently we were waited on by a woman who seemed to be very nice and on-the-ball. Half an hour later we had to start nagging her about the possibility of maybe getting our appetizer. Last, but not least, they switched to an all-takeout version of plateware. Every single plate and bowl is now plastic and fodder for a landfill. My husband was craving good Thai food and came across this place on Yelp. Went in for an early dinner on a weekday. First of all I really wanted to like this place, there are a few Thai places that are dear to us back home. Our server was attentive and friendly and the main reason for 2 stars. The food, however, was not great. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls to start which weren't horrible but lacked any flavor and the sauce was straight from the bottle. My husband ordered the Drunken Noodles which were overcooked (mushy) and lacking any flavor. He had to drizzle some soy sauce on just to get taste. I ordered the Green Curry which completely tasted like old/spoiled bamboo strips. The portion sizes were fair to the price. My wife always orders the Thai fried Rice with chicken without the tomatoes. Being the nosy food critic I am, I asked for and received a taste. The 2 peppers my wife has added to the rice gives it a nice zing with a rocket booster after-burn. The taste was fantabulous. If it didn't run my glucose levels up too high I would definitely order the dish but with the tomatoes, shrimp, squid and octopus (unlike) my wife just to bug her. I would also have Nat (probably the premier waitress in Columbus) - get me some fist sauce to add to the rice to make it the best Thai dish in Columbus. My dish, 34 GAI PAD PEHT, Stir-Fried Chicken in Red Curry with Chilies, Basil, Bamboo Shoots, Green Beans, and a touch of Coconut Milk. $11.99, was pure perfection, a dish I don't believe could have been better prepared if they tried. We really enjoyed the group of Thai ladies sitting together and very obviously having a great time eating their meals It made for a perfect night. I thoroughly enjoyed my friend spring roll appetizers which were served piping hot post-haste. As the late and beloved food critic would have said, "oooooH, it was sooooo gooood! The prices: $$, but very reasonable for what you receive. My wife and I came here for a late lunch and had a wonderful experience. I had a seafood pho and my wife had a vegetable curry with chicken. The portions were large and we had plenty left over to take home and share between the two of us. Everything is made to order so adding and removing anything is no problem. I was a bit adventurous and went with the thai spiciness level - definitely did not regret. The thai coconut pudding was amazing as a dessert. They clearly care about their customer's experience and our servers were by as often as they could be to ensure we were satisfied throughout our meal. Even one of the owneres went out of his way to make recommendations and let us know what our options were as it was our first time eating here. Wow! Impressive! I was in the mood for some Thai food and stumbled across this out of the way place . They are off Whitesville Rd, in the upper section of The Landings (I think). I ordered carry-out and I was very impressed. Fast and friendly service, My family and I ordered 6 different dishes: Chicken Pad Thai, Green Vegetable Curry, Drunken Noodles, Mus-A-Mun Beef Curry, Goong Sam Rod (Shrimp), and Moo Gratiem (Pork with fresh garlic, pepper and Green Beans). The Thom Kah Gai Soup was the best I've ever eaten and I'm from San Francisco, California. They claim to serve the finest in Authentic Thai Cuisine and I believe them. I loved the Thai tea that I ordered to drink on the way home. Every dish was so flavorful that it is hard to decide on a favorite. I will definitely be ordering take-out from here again.
