What was ordered: Tum Mae Jaeb - cold mango salad that contains raw marinated crab; the texture was interesting; we probably would not order this again Pork Larb Wonsan Penang curry with chicken - served with rice In general flavours were good and portions are decent served with the intent of family style. With most dishes you are asked your preference of spice level. We were seated in the extended seating area of the restaurant but service was still good. It's a different type of Thai food known as Isan food which is more salty than sweet from central Thailand. The flavours here are definitely interesting with lots of different textures in their food. Here's what we got: Tum Lao 3/5 - A refreshing salad with papaya, garlic, chili, tomato and green beans. The raw green beans was what threw me off in this dish. Tum Khaopod Kaikem 3.5/5 - Another refreshing salad wbut with salted egg, corn, peanut, garlic, chili, tomato, dried shrimp, and green bean. This was sweet from the corn. Pad Woonsen Cha Om with Minced Pork 3.5/5 - Stir fried glass noodles with egg, garlic and acacia leaves. It's okay and great for sharing. Larb Ped (Duck) 1/5 - This was so bland and unfortunately we had to send it back for some salt or seasoning. Even after it got brought back out there wasn't much taste to it so would probably skip. Pork Jowl 3/5 - This was good with a nice bounce to the pork jowl. Glass Noodle Soup Pot 3/5 - Another dish that I thought was just okay and a tad bland. Seafood Soup 4/5 - This was probably the best thing I had there. Great presentation, good flavour and good for sharing. Overall. the meal fell short for me with a lot of dishes being bland or not to my liking. We also had to flag wait staff down a lot of the times since they were so busy and no one really checked in with us.

Plenty of parking available, including underground - but it is a pretty busy plaza during peak hours. Interior is pretty standard, bright lightning and small to big tables depending on the party size. The wall decor was kind of nice. Staff were very nice and friendly as well. Orders are made on the spot, so it does take a little time, but not overly long. Food This place is actually a Taiwanese/Thai fusion restaurant - which is very interesting cause I never seen one of these before. So their menu items does have traditional Thai dishes and also a random Taiwanese chicken that you may see. It's a little odd, but some of their dishes combine both of the cuisines together to elevate the flavour. I particularly enjoyed their steamed bass - it was spicy (like with Thai spices) but it also looked very Chinese style done. Their raw shrimp was also a good appetizer, along with their Morning Glory vegetable. Overall this place is good, not wow wow - but I think it's nice to try if you're ever in the area and want to try something different with a fusion.

It was marketing with a story that the owner of the restaurant had run a Thai restaurant in Taiwan successfully for more than 20 years. I doubted the truth of that story... it feels unlikely to be true...It wouldn't be able to survive in such a competitive environment in the Taiwan food industry for that long. None of the food met our expectations for Taiwanese-style Thai food. And it was pretty pricy. The decoration and props used in the restaurant were nice. The servers were friendly, too. I feel bad giving them such a low score. It felt as though the chef lacked the necessary skill, making me wonder if the owner simply used a polished story to attract investors.

We came early on a weekday, and there was a constant stream of people coming in. The restaurant was full but not packed, which gave it a nice, lively atmosphere. Our waitress was kind and quite attentive, especially considering she seemed to be the only one serving the entire restaurant. She was efficient, and we never felt like we had to wait long whenever we needed something. We ordered two appetizers and a main to share. Both appetizers were really good and full of flavour. The chicken wings were nicely fried and had an unexpected citrus kick that I really enjoyed. The satay skewers were also good, and the accompanying sauce was really yummy! The main, unfortunately, was just okay in comparison. I felt there were more carrots and bean sprouts than noodles, and the noodles themselves were a little mushy. The flavours also weren't as pronounced as they were in the appetizers. Overall, a decent little Thai restaurant in the area. I'm glad we finally gave this place a try!

Then, tried the beef pad see ew to share which overall tasted delicious - coated in a savory-sweet soy sauce and tender crispy veggies ( broccoli, carrots etc.) The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming -- perfect for a casual family meal. FOOD (2.5/5) 1/5 - Truffle Fries are absolutely not worth it. We got this as a shareable and the fries are not really seasoned and the only flavour comes from the truffle and horseradish aioli dip. 3.5/5 - Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare is nicely seasoned and lightly spicy pasta dish with big pieces of seafood. Mussels, prawn, and squid cooked well and came together nicely. 2.5/5 - Thai Style Fried Chicken is more of a shareable. It is super crispy with a bed of radish and thai chili-fish sauce. It gets a bit monotonous after multiple consecutive bites. Needs a starch to balance out. 3.5/5 - Taiwanese Braised Pork rice bowl was textbook with braised pork belly that was good balance of sweet and savoury. Served with tofu, hardboiled tea egg, and radish. Would've preferred more pork instead of the tofu. 3/5 - Tuscan Salmon was decent but nothing special. The sauce was like a rose sauce which was nice and tangy. There definitely should've been a starch like roast potatoes or garlic bread to eat with the salmon. Dish felt incomplete. 4/5 - Beef Bourguinon. It was a massive portion of stewed beef, carrots and potatoes. Really flavorful and rich. Consistent theme is it could have benefitted from a starch like rice or bread to enjoy with the stew. SERVICE (4/5) Staff were really friendly and helped guide us through the menu. They frequently helped top off our waters as well. VALUE (2/5) Though the ingredients felt fresh, the pricepoints for the dishes didn't feel warranted since most left something to be desired whether it be another flavour, starch, or ingredient. LOCATION (2.5/5) Located not in a very typical plaza area of Markham, it can be a bit difficult to spot as it blends in with the surrounding residential area. Free parking available around the area.
