It was between the stir fry vegetables with beef or the Thai chili with beef. The server recommended the Thai chili. What I did not realize was how sweet and oily it was. I do not like sweet food. The server never asked did I want it spicy like she asked the other table when they ordered. She asked did I like the food I told her no it was too sweet. She said next time try something different! WTF so I picked out the beef and ate that with the rice. All the vegetables was such a disappointment because it was so sweet and oily. Walked in and only had two customers at the time. The music was jazz so it set a nice vibe, and while we were there more people came in for to go or to dine in. The owner, Thy, was amazingly attentive to us, but at this point it was only 8 customers in the building but she made each of us feel special. Because of the vibe I didn't notice that it took a little while to get our food, but they do let you know on the menu that they cook everything fresh and so patience is mandatory. I will be going back more and more, this is 1 of 3 locations. This one is the one across from Brandon hospital, they have another in Lutz and 1 on Bloomingdale/Bellshoals. I accidentally deleted my pics of the establishment and my food ..... sorry. But to be honest the pics just "looked" good. I ordered the coconut soup and the fresh rolls. No bueno.... the soup was very watered down and the rolls were pretty much lettuce with ONE shrimp inside. My husband ordered broccoli beef.... meh. The whole meal kinda served the purpose of putting food in our tummies .... we considering not eating it and leaving however we were extremely hungry. We love Thai food so we were really looking forward to a great meal. Very disappointed in the food at this place. Can't say we'll be back.... and I hate that because I love to see businesses thrive. Quite a nice find and one if the more authentic Thai restaurants I have visited outside if SE Asia. The stars here are the Pad Thai, the Massaman Curries, their version of Chicken Laarb as well as their other small selection of offered salads. Their Chicken Sate app is also better than most. They do have a small problem of adequately front of the house staffing during busier times, but they seem to know and work through it as best as they can. read more

We gave this another go since our usual was an hour behind on their take outs and was happy with our orders. Pros: Bangkok wings were excellent!! This was great with rice as well.. came with a mini side salad with a peanut sauce on it.. very good pairing. We also ordered Thai basil chicken - hot and Thai basil tofu.. both were very tasty, different than what we are used to .. it's more of a curry paste like sauce. The only con is, very oily and bc it is made with a paste like sauce the vegetables were pretty drenched in the sauce.. Super small place right around the corner from us. Wife and I both ordered appetizers and entrees. Overall the service was excellent and friendly, and our drinks were filled quickly. Timing on dishes coming out and the entrees is why this isn't a 5 star review. I had the Thai wings and my wife had the spring rolls for apps. They did inform us the wings take a little longer when we ordered, but the spring rolls came out like 10 mins faster. I'd suggest firing them to come out with the wings since we didn't share appetizers. Wings were tasty, good crunch and a flavorful sauce, but holy hell I needed asbestos gloves to pick them up! I'd managed to only eat one by the time the entrees came out, would've appreciated a few more mins. For entrees my wife had the tofu pumpkin curry and I had the peanut sauce pork. She wasn't thrilled with the curry, probably would've been better to order it spicy to add some kick. The peanut sauce pork was just that, pork and veggies coooovered in peanut sauce. I like peanut sauce, but man that was a lot. And it was rich. Needed something to cut the richness and it would've been great. This was our first time trying this restaurant and I can't wait to return!! We walked in this hidden gem which is so unassuming and we were immediately greeted by the loveliest staff. It is a small quaint restaurant that offers take out as well. The customer service surpassed anything I've ever experienced and that includes many, many top notch fancy, extremely expensive establishments!! Did I mention that customer service was top notch?!? The waitress was so informative as well, explaining different dishes we might try next time. The place was clean and it's in a shopping center so parking is plentiful. I ordered the Yellow Curry with Chicken which was huge. I absolutely couldn't stop eating it, it was soooo delicious! They also have a take out delivery service that picks up food to deliver to people. We've lived in 5 cities & this is the best Thai food we've had in Tampa, FL. Such a random place to have for a good thai food since it's north of Tampa but I can promise you it's worth the drive. What we'd recommend: steamed dumplings, spicy drunken noodle, & pad thai. What we'd not recommend: do not get medium for spicy it's too spicy (get the level before it) & do not get the gyoza. Still have table waiting for food and some people order the take out. Not too busy. I have order the spicy drunken noodles with shrimp. I have specific order. I want my noodles dry which mean don't let the juice come out. I also order it to be Thai spicy hot. While I wait for the food, they do have special day combination or pre prix dish on holiday. Look interesting. When my noodles come out, there are wet sauce every where. Which mean it was not on the wok too long. Because no burn mark at the noodles. The dish is medium spicy. Not even close one step below Thai hot. This too difficult to fixed. One good thing is they have good size fresh shrimp. I didn't ask for redone due to time. This is been there done that. read more

I have tried many quality Thai restaurants, so i know that my standards are high, but I would say this restaurant is average just like the fast food surrounding it. Their green papaya salad is fresh and flavorful (their "hot" isn't spicy, but that may just be preference). The Thai tea is very good, but I do not recommend the crab ragoons because they had almost no filling and were very small with a thick pastry. I cannot say anything about most of their dishes, but the food I was served was barley warm and surprisingly low quality for the price. This restaurant would be the first that I've given a 1 star. Nothing was done right according to the order. I ordered chicken papaya salad. It was very, very sour. All I taste was lime juice. I also ordered chicken drunken noodle and Thai iced tea. I paid $4-5 extra to replace the vegetables and informed that my family member is allergic to those vegetables in that entree. I was told that the noodles will be stir-fried in soy sauce. When I picked up the food, I informed that the Thai tea is missing. The waitress said she did not put that on my order and did not charge for it. She didn't apologize for her error and said I could pay it now and wait for them to make it if I would like. My order was not ready after 25 min. I had to wait for another 10 min. since the food came out late, now I have to wait longer for the Thai tea. I informed them to disregard the Thai tea order because I didn't want to wait any longer. I started not feeling confident about this place, so I decided to check the foods in my car. The drunken noodle was not stir-fried in soy sauce but in tons of tomato paste and was very salty, which my family member is also allergic to. The waitress only gave one pair of chopsticks and no napkins. I had to go back into the restaurant to ask for another pair of chopsticks even though I had already informed her over the phone that there are two people. I didn't even bother to ask for napkins even though they should've given them since I had informed that we will be eating in the car. I will definitely not come back to this place. I ordered quite a bit of food online, paid with my credit card, and scheduled a time about an hour later to pick up the food. I showed up for the food and was told that I already picked up my order. Wait, what?! They didn't have it. Apparently, they had given my order to someone else. I had plans and was bringing dinner to a group of people, so it wasn't just my food or I would have just left and disputed the charge on my credit card. But there were some hungry people waiting on me. Instead of apologizing and pretending to care, the young lady that was working the cash register and the cook started arguing with me. My position was, I ordered and paid for the food, so I am leaving with my food or canceling my order and the payment. I was flabbergasted at how rude they were. They even called the owner and had her try to gaslight me. Finally, they came up with the excuse that someone with the same name as me came in and picked up the order. I find that very hard to believe, but even if it is true, that isn't my problem. Ordering food online and picking it up in person isn't rocket science. I suggested that in the future maybe they ask for ID or an order number as confirmation before handing out a lot of food to someone. The cook and cashier went into the kitchen and I got to listen to them argue with each other for at least 10 minutes. It was very unappetizing to say the least. 20 minutes later I did have my food, but I wasn't hungry anymore. I work in the hospitality industry and am floored by the poor treatment I received. It's too bad because they do make good food. HORRIBLE "CUSTOMER" SERVICE. DO NOT order food from here unless you are there in person and can stand guard to make sure you get your order. read more

**Update** I've been back a few more times since my last review. This time I dined in at the restaurant. I was very happy with the service and menu choices. I had the Eggplant Lover with shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. As I mentioned before, I like the larger cut of eggplant. I'm also a big fan of the Spicy Drunken Noodle. I was afraid that it was going to be too spicy. They typically use a medium chili level for this dish, but they were able to adjust it for me. It had the right amount of spice for me. It was delicious! It had lots of colorful veggies. I added seafood to the dish. I was totally impressed with the size of the scallops (not your typical bay scallop). It also had a few large clams, shrimp, and squid. I couldn't eat it all, so I took the rest home. It was even better when I heated it up the second day. My mother was very happy with her Sweet & Sour shrimp. She really loves it when they give her lots of veggies. There was also lots of pineapple this time around. She was thrilled. She didn't have any leftovers to take with her. Way to go, Mom! It's hard to get her to eat anything nowadays. I'm so happy that we don't have to travel anymore to get good Thai food. This space in the plaza has changed owners/businesses 3 times in the past 10 years. I really miss Simply Thai, which I believe was the first restaurant to occupy this space. Others have come and gone. This particular restaurant has potential. The taste was there, but we each had an issue with our Mobile Meal deliveries. The food arrived in good condition. It was still nice & hot. The issue was that the pineapple was missing from my mother's sweet & sour shrimp order. She said it still tasted good without it, but that's usually one of the main ingredients. The eggplant in my Eggplant Lover with Shrimp was on the mushy side. I've had this preparation before in other restaurants, and I don't remember it ever being over steamed (or over cooked) in this manner. I did like that the eggplant was sliced lengthwise. I also liked the overall flavor. I just wish I had ordered it with a medium spice level. It appears that all orders are made with no spice unless you specify a heat level. I'm not even sure that I can define the spice level as being mild. There wasn't any chili pepper spice of any kind, but I did see and taste the Thai Basil. Other than that, we were very pleased with the amount of shrimp (about 8) and vegetables in the dishes that we ordered. It just needed more spice. We'll go to eat at the restaurant one day soon so that we can better understand their spice level system. I also want to try their Thai Tea and special desserts that I keep reading about. read more

Went there after a tired day and had an amazing dinner. I didn't want to eat much but I couldn't say no with the Bangkok chicken wings! The sauce was so good, a little bit salty but tasteful and the wings were really crispy. Everything else also great and the portion was huge. The service was well-timing and friendly too!
