The BEST Thai food I've had in forever if not ever in town. We ordered from door dash and everything was perfectly secured and tasted perfectly fresh!! We tried the chicken pad Thai and the curry. Not a single bite was left to go to waste. The curry was AMAZING!!! So creamy and a little spicy! The pad Thai was great too! I want to give this place more stars but every time I eat here it gets worse than before. I've eaten here multiple times through DoorDash, I always order their fried chicken with sticky rice. I noticed that every time I order this dish they give me weird cuts of the chicken with little to no meat. The last time I ordered food from here was 2 days ago and they gave me burnt chicken. I also had to wait about 1 hour for my food because DoorDash was searching for a driver. I also ordered their pho and Thai tea, I always order their Thai tea but this time it had a weird sour/funky after taste so I threw it away after a few sips. The pho was kind of bland and I noticed that when I opened the styrofoam for the noodles/meat/veggies that it smelled sour. Took it to go, so it wasn't the same as dining in as the flavor got a little muted; the noodles got a little dry. Nice little neighborhood jewel. I drove past this place for years and never tried it. They have really good pad thai and spring rolls. I'm not a fan of the dipping sauce they give you with the egg rolls, it's like a sweet chili sauce. Tastes really processed. The drunken noodles are also pretty good. This restaurants appetizer prices are the same as higher quality places, and I don't feel like they are worth it. Also, why they are not getting a 4 or 5 star rating, the kitchen seems pretty dirty. So here's the deal. This place is amazing. I moved down to Clovis from Portland a couple months ago. Up there Thai places are a dime-a-dozen. Good ones, are hard to find. This place killed it on every level. The best part is this places is a local business that deserves community support and recognition. I had the pad kee mao and fresh coconut to drink. The food came out fast and the service was brilliant. There was a nice sized TV with football on. What more could you ask for? The best part is that this place has pho. The building that Thai Chili takes over was once (or twice) a mediocre Filipino restaurant; it was called Inang's then it changed its name to JoJo's Kitchen. It's pretty much the same setup as before but with more decorations. As for the menu, it's one laminated card that has items listed on the front and back. Thai Chili serves the typical Pad Thai but also include Laotian dishes like Khao Piak and Khao Poon. Khao Poon: It came with so many vegetables, which is great, but after putting them in, my curry broth turned into a small puddle thanks to the noodles for sucking it all up. There was a decent amount of shredded chicken added as well. I'm not sure if that's how the dish is eaten, but I would've liked it if more broth was added. Compared to Thai & Lao Flavors, the broth here is not as spicy but it was thicker and the curry is much more pronounced (not that much water was added). Nam Thok (strips of medium-rare meat served with a sweet and spicy sauce): This is a dish that I have been hunting down for over a year! Eating the strips of meat with the sauce is a must have since it gives you the perfect spicy kick. Also, you need the sauce because the meat on its own is pretty flavorless outside of the grilled/char flavor. Fortunately, the meat wasn't completely lean. Some of the slices had a nice sliver of fat. My only issue with this dish is that, though I was asked how I want it cooked -- I asked for it to be cooked medium -- it was served well done. Yet, the meat was still juicy. However, since this is my first time trying this dish, I still need to find another place to compare their Nam Thok with. Prices are on average $7 and up depending on what you order. I found my meal about a buck or two pricey, but considering the portions, I'll let it slide for now. read more

I got some dragon noodles with chicken and some Lao style papaya salad. The papaya salad was extremely spicy... i ordered it medium and got it XXXXXXXspicy. My family couldn't even eat this. I'm the type of person that needs to have everything spicy but this was just not edible. The whole time we were looking for papaya salad but kept getting chili pepper skin. I love coming here! It's down the street from my house and I always get their pho and beef laab. The broth actually has FLAVOR unlike a lot of pho restaurants and their chili oil is nice n fiery:) only complaint is that the laab doesn't come with rice, must order a side. Very impressed with the food and the service! We ordered the pork ribs, flat noodles with veggies, yellow curry, papaya salad, and thai tea. The pork ribs are my favorite! I will always order this every time I come in here. The ribs have some kind of red marinade that has a tiny hint of lemongrass to it. So good with the dip it comes with. Big flat noodles with veggies (beef)...not sure what the name of the dish is. Really yummy! Not too salty, just the right amount of sauce in it. Yellow curry was also good...FYI this one doesn't have potatoes, only meat and veggies. I still enjoyed it for the curry sauce which has a little bit of sweetness to it...so good with rice. Papaya salad....OMG, they make it GOOD here!!!! Just the right amount of sweetness, salt, sour, and heat. Thai tea...pretty good, although I do like the tea a little darker. I walked in and the guy behind the counter saw me, but did not give any acknowledgement nor did he greet me. It felt like I was bothering him. It got a little better as we spoke, but it would help to be more friendly. I tried the Phad Thai, it was pretty good. The flavor is there, just missing a little kick but still better than most others in Fresno and Clovis. The thing I liked was the portion they give. Service- you would think you'll get good customer service especially this side of town but NO! Could of been more attentive with water refills and check ups. Maybe today was just a bad day to try this place for the first time. Wife picked up a to-go order, she tried the chicken pad thai & I tried the beef/bok choy. For $26 without drinks we were honestly underwhelmed. My beef was tender, bok choy and onions seemed fresh, everything was cooked well with a generous amount of rice but seemed quite dry. Both orders really lacked any flavor. Wife's pad thai noodles seemed dried out and with a very small amount of chicken, 5 or 6 small bite sized pieces in the entire order. I've never been a harsh critic & consider myself, at times, too generous with my ratings but these two orders are now sitting in my kitchen not even half eaten. The food is great. I got the orange chicken lunch special. Im very picky on asian food and this place I liked. Only thing that I did not like was the portion size. I paid 8 dollars for an appetizer size of orange chicken and 1 cup of rice. I was pretty disappointed when she handed me a little styrofoam box of food. I wouldn't recommend getting a lunch special.
