So I attempted to grab lunch here today, hoping they would do pick up service. As I walked in I asked if pick up service was offered(since it wasn't noted outside) and was met with a very disgruntled employee(not sure if it was the owner). As I asked for help, she slammed whatever she was doing on the table and walked over to the counter and "asked what do you want to order?" As I was looking for at the menu she said it's "too late to get that, it's 3pm." I wasn't even sure was she was implying because I didn't even fully read anything of the menu before I decide forget it. I felt as if I was already inconveniencing already so I said, "no thank you." I ordered shrimp pad see ewe for lunch today and a Thai iced tea. The older lady who took the order over the phone had an attitude. Okay whatever, I was craving Thai food so I thought to give this place a try. My first time here and it will be the last time. Their website lists this item at $12.95 but when I went there to pick up the order, I was charged $15.95 plus $6:00 for the Thai ice tea. When I pointed this out to the older lady at the cashier, she was NOT apologetic but yelled at me for pointing out their website which was not updated for a while. Then she said my total owed amount was $23.86 so I handed her my Wells Fargo cash reward card and she charged me $24.86. When I mentioned this discrepancy to her, she again gave me attitude and yelled at me there is a sign that says "$1 fee for any credit/debit charge". I looked for this sign and it wasn't a sign but small piece of paper that was taped to plastic barrier wall. So small that unless you were looking for it you would not see it immediately. Worst of all, their food was terrible. It smelled of old and cheap ingredients used. Was so bland and had a foul odor that I had to throw it out. After almost $25 later, no food, no lunch, just unpleasant taste in mouth. read more

If only I can give this place ZERO STARS. After last night's meal, I can confidently say we won't be returning back. This spot was great 7 years ago during my college days. Now, everything is just horrible. I called in and was greeted by a disgruntled & rude employee. Secondly, the food we ordered was just extra horrible as well. Everything was salty & bland. We ordered: (2) eggrolls, namthok, pad Thai, (2) chicken wings with tomato sauce, (2) Thai tea, and Laos style papaya salad, a total of $92. The only thing I enjoyed from this meal was my Thai tea. Papaya sauce tasted over due and it was overly salty. Pad Thai came with no veggies and the noodles were hard like they were old. Now off to the eggrolls. The eggrolls had very little filling and the inside was super soggy as it looked undercooked. Namthok was just horrible as well. It was super salty and bland. The chicken wings? It was okay, but a tad salty too. Can y'all guess what we trashed at the end of this meal? We sure trashed the Namthok & papaya salad as it was not edible at all. I wouldn't be surprised if this place no longer functions since everything is just BAD! BELIEVE THE REVIEWS YOU READ & SEE ON HERE. I thought, maybe these bad reviews were just on a bad day and gave this place the benefit of doubt from my great experiences before. First time i went there, the orange chicken made me sick, but wasn't sure if that was it. Decided to try it again months later, and wow, shame on this place. The worst customer service I've ever seen. We ordered food at 5:30, scheduled for pickup between 6:15-6:20. We got a text at 5:45 that our order was ready. I call and nicely ask them to make sure the food isn't sitting out for 30 minutes because I scheduled it for 6:15 on purpose and don't want my food sitting there getting cold. All I got was an attitude and a shrug that it was somehow not their fault, insinuating it was my fault. No "sure we'll remake it" or even "sorry we missed that, how can we make this right?". I show up at 6:14 and get exactly the same treatment in person. They even ENCOURAGED the negative reviews, literally! Zero regard for their customers at all, completely awful business. read more

Sorry Thai Chili cutting corners is a no no for my bang for my hard working bucks. I was in the neighborhood and I was in the area so I had Thai Chili for lunch today. For almost spending $45 which is pretty high for what I'm paying for they cut corners on their food. I ordered the following for today's so so lunch. Deep fried pork riblets 3/5 tasted ok nothing over the top Jail mak lang ( Laos tomato salsa) alone this is 4/5 it hits all of the right Lao Unami and it's not too hot just right. Sin lot ( beef jerky) 3/5 the beef it has a beefy weird after taste to it. Maybe it's been in the freezer too long or they use cheap quality beef. Panang curry 2/5 they use slice beef round eye for this dish instead of using hand trim meats cutting coroners I can tell. Server 4/5 the server she was cool and would check up on me because I was the only one that dine in there around 11:15 am. Wow prices has gone way up since i was here last time, the food was ok but not that good. Get rid of that slice eye round for the curry and use real hand trim meats to make it better and lower the price a bit that's my opinion. If I was in the mood for some Laotian food I would try to make it myself it's cheaper and you can eat as much as you want the hard part is cleaning up haha lol. read more

BUTTTT She says that if there's one place she likes only because it's VERY AUTHENTIC--- and it's THAI CHILI. I've picked up Togo dinner here now a dozen times and Uber eats drops it off too. The only thing I wonder is if this business is known more for being a take-out spot versus dine-in. My family and I ate at the restaurant. In fact one day I couldn't order from here for some reason (due to my circumstances) and I got Thai from another popular restaurant and it couldn't hold a candle to Thai Chili. The Thai and Laotian food served here is quite good, not the best in Fresno, but certainly above average and offers that authentic taste you would want when looking for Thai or Laotian dishes. The price is a little high for the portion served, but its not overly expensive either (in the $9 to $15 range). To be honest the interior is clean (despite the interior having a smell from poor kitchen ventilation), it just doesn't appeal to me aesthetically, because the table and chair is cheap looking, and the atmosphere is not exactly exciting and its quite small, so come for the food not the decor, or better yet have it to go. All dishes are served in gorgeous porcelain and not plastic. I ordered the Phad Ka Phao Tofu for $9.95. The dish comes with a fried egg and steamed rice. Its basically a simple fried dish that has bell peppers, thai basil, chilis, onion, that is cooked with the tofu. The dish was very flavorful and has a very nice aroma from the thai basil, my only concern was the sweetness, which happened to be on the sweeter side, Im a south east asian myself and I have not tasted a dish sweeten as such. Overall this dish is delicious and pretty worth it for the price. Next was the Phad Panang $9.95 without any rice. The dish was delicious and tasted authentic, and plus it was cooked on the spicy side- per my request. This dish was a rich thick gravy yellow to red cooked with chicken, young bamboo shoots and tomatoes. The aroma was just delicious. Again it was just on the sweeter side, I would highly recommend this place to pay attention to sweetness and reduce it. I also thought the dish was stingy on chicken, I would have appreciated more chicken in the dish. Finally the appetizer, which was the fried meat balls for $10.95. This appetizers was nicely fried giving it a refreshing springy texture, and the meat balls was drizzled with sweet thai chili sauce and chopped cilantro. It was very delicious and refreshing. It has a more savory meaty taste, yet nice and chewy. Overall I would be back for more thai-laotian food here because its pretty good, just maybe I would choose to take out next time. I would recommend however the business to improve: a) sweetness of their dishes b) the smell from poor ventilation which gives the store a smell c) use thai fragrant rice read more

Thai Chili has the best authentic Thai/Lao foods. If you want something spicy and VERY favorable, I highly recommend the beef Phad Kaphao. I've been to this restaurant on a couple occasions before they did the remodel and it's sad to say that the food, service, and prices have gone to the wayside. For the service it was quite sad to read reviews and see that it was true. On my previous visits I was always greeted warmly. The food, we ordered the pad kee mao combination, it was greasy and lacked so much flavor. The prices as well have gone up for what used to be a reasonable price for to go food but now I'd rather stick to going to other Lao Thai places. read more

We ordered to have the food delivered by Doordash so I can only judge on that. We got the food within a short period of time after ordering. I tried the tofu pad thai and, although it was a bit on the clumpy side, the taste was spot on. I liked that they used whole peanuts instead of ground peanuts. It gave the dish a nice crunch. We also had the chicken panang curry which was full flavored and generous with the chicken.
