When he got here, he fixed the problem immediately, and before he left he checked my filters and cleaned them out. He also fixed a pipe that was incorrectly installed. What I especially like about Tony is his honesty, professional knowledge, and fair pricing. Ive had other people try to sell me services that I later discovered I didn't need. When I asked him if I needed a yearly service plan, he said "no", showed me how to maintain my system and left. Im a single older women so I appreciated his honesty snd helpfulness so much. Some time ago, I decided that I would provide follow-up reviews on those things which are expensive…read moreand meant to be used over a long period. Clearly, air conditioning/heating units fall into this category. It's been a year and a half and our A/C/heating system works without issue. It a heat pump, electric or propane hybrid heater and works great. I think its SEER rating and according to my crayon math, that system alone saves about $400 to. $700 per year depending on weather overall. The heating and A/C performances are top-notch. I also have a ground-mount solar panel system put in by Apex Solar (another company for which I'll give a well-deserved good review like TTF HVAC in the next few weeks). I am saving so energy on the solar system that I believe I can heat the house for at least half of the winter, saving another $400 to $500 per month because TTC put in the hybrid system. Taking into account the cooling and warming of fall and spring, respectively, that's another $1200 or $1500 from late November to late April. I'll update those numbers next year. Tony is straight shooter, his employees are happy and do good work so I know they are treated well. Tony is responsive and attentive to details and respects his customers as only a smaller company can do. I feel its only fair to return an equal amount respect in return. A person can spend more or less money on another company but I honestly think that a person couldn't send better money than using TTF. I'm fairly certain that I would have to earn $10,000 to $12,000 a year to have the pocket money it takes to keep the house comfortable using TTF and APEX. Not bad and thank you, Tony.

After getting quotes from five vendors, I chose Aircare as they did the proper best practices…read moreassessment to size the heat pump that we bought to replace the conventional 20 yr old Lennox Heating and Cooling HVAC System) in our home. It's important that it's sized properly so its running most efficiently and Aircare was the only one that did the work that was recommended to accomplish this task. Roberto, the salesperson used his iPad to LIDAR map rooms to measure the cubic space for the estimate. So we moved forward with a Bryant three ton slim preferred series unit for our home at approximately 2000 square feet. The Mediterranean climate in Silicon Valley is a great match for a modern heat pump, and it frees us from a gas usage, which is increasingly expensive . The install terminating gas for heat qualifies for a $1500 rebate plus a $2000 tax credit. Of note Roberto spent almost 2 hours on site answering all my questions and doing the estimation, and linked me up with a service called HomeIntel, which works with PGE to optimize your energy usage in your home by analyzing your patterns looking at your account. It was quite helpful and free. In all this process really helped seal the deal in my eyes. Scheduling was easy for the installation, which started on time and took over two days. It's quite a bit of work to remove the old system and piping to then install brand new properly. It's very key to replace the refrigerant lines as the refrigerant is different than the old system and if the two get mixed in the lines, even if they've been so-called purged, it can contaminate and destroy the new system, so it's highly recommended that you always replace the refrigerant lines with this type of installation. Installer techs Kintroy and Dennis were meticulous, system experts, and very friendly. They worked hard and did a fantastic job getting the system installed over two days which included redoing the air intake ducts and enlarging one of the ceiling intakes. System came with a Bryant branded Ecobee thermostat which we had to have swapped out because the first one had a defect, second one is fine. Inspections - Another reason I chose Aircare is that they handled the entire city permit process for me other than I needed to be present for the inspector. The other vendors were not willing to deal with the full permit and rectify issues at their full cost if issues were found by the inspectors. When you spend the kind of money that you have to on a system like this, which is north of $15,000, I expect that the contractor will handle the permit. An installation like this requires two inspections, one feeds into the other. The first is required to drive the rebates and measures if the system is sealed, and is operating with proper airflow capacity. The second is the standard installation city safety and code based inspection. Passed the first with no issues, and the inspection with the city went quickly with no problems because the Aircare team did the job properly. The city inspector checked key items and commented that Aircare had really done a good job, that others that he has seen don't. I waited to do this review until we ran the system for a bit, so now it's been about two months and we are so satisfied. This is the first time in the 10 year ownership of this house where we truly have a set and forget efficient system that does not have to work very hard to keep the house heated or cooled. I highly recommend a heat pump system, especially if you have a solar system. Some installers will claim that you need to have the solar system in order for the heat pump to pay off because the heat pump uses only electricity, doesn't use gas at all, and can use electricity at a higher rate than the previous type of system. My experience is if the unit is sized correctly and you have good attic insulation, the system does not have to run very long or very hard to manage the temperature in the home. It operates so quietly both inside and outside that you forget you have an HVAC system compared to what we used to experience which was more like a jet engine, When combined with a smart thermostat, which you can inform about your type of PG&E plan it intelligently minimizes impact based on the rate you pay. If you happen to have solar like us, it is even a better. Bottom line need more vendors like Aircare. Thank you!

I have recently extended that maintenance plan to 2031. The A1 team is *extremely* professional and also very knowledgeable. During their most recent maintenance visit (April 2026), the A1 team led by Sal Leyla diagnosed a small shortfall in the refrigerant levels in the two Trane units and because of me having pre-paid A1 for semi annual maintenance visits, they not only were able to quickly add refrigerant but the cost to me was very affordable. I should also note that based on the professionalism displayed by the A1 Team back in 2021, five of my neighbors also hired A1 to install air conditioning units. And they are all very happy customers. A1 is an excellent company to work with in all respects and shoutout to Juan and Sal for their professionalism and great work.
