If I could leave a 10 star I would! I found that my heater was not turning on although it seemed to be trying from the sounds I could hear coming from my furnace. My thermostat was reading 59degrees inside the house,so I made the call to Tony. He gave me a time when he would be out, then called about a half hour later to say he could make it earlier. He was outside my door at exactly the time he stated, came in, fixed my furnace, and I have wonderful heat!!! I found Tony to be most courteous, gracious, kind, and considerate and the price was very fair. I will not hesitate to use his services in the future and will tell all my friends and family about this company. There is no better hvac company in silicon valley in my estimation. It's nice to know there are still great people out there who are honest, professional, knowledgeable, and still businesslike. I thought this was a lost art---but my faith has been totally restored now that I've met Tony, the owner, and his worker from a previous visit. I'm so glad I have found this company thru Yelp...thank you Yelp and TFF!! read more

What a great team with Tony and his wife Heidi. They really did an excellent job in installing the new AC and furnace at my home. Tony and his team are very professional, efficient and courteous while working with us. Heidi did a very thorough job in helping me get the rebates from Rheem, and she has been so helful whenever I need any paper work needed for this matter. Actually, this is a very long overdue review because Tony installed the system 2 years ago for us, and I told myself to write a review to show my appreciation to TFT AVAC for a wonderful job, but I procrastinated until now. Two years later, the AC went bad. i made a phone call to Tony and he sent Jason over to diagnose the problem. Jason was so good, he knew his job so well, and had the compressor replaced with a brand new one from the manufacturer within a week , free of charge whatsoever. What an excelllent service. If you need someone to install your heating and cooling system, Tony is your guy. thanks Tony, Heidi and Jason for a fantastic job read more

These guys are great. I called 8 different HVAC companies and left many messages and TFF HVAC was the only company to get back to me in a timely maner. Tony the owner set up the appointment for the very next day and Sean showed up on time and was able to pinpoint my problem before he even reached my a/c unit. He explained the problem, demonstrated that it was a bad capacitor by manually spinning the fan blades which fired up the unit, explained what a capacitor does and in 5 minutes had a new one installed ready to go. Super impressed and satisfied. I will be calling them next time I need HVAC work done. read more

I called Tony before Thanksgiving and his lead time is almost 2 weeks because of the holidays. I decided to wait anyway since he has excellent review on yelp. On the appointment date, he came on time and found that the heater switch was accidentally switched off. He felt bad for me and pro-rate his fee to half an hour. He also offered to help me clean the filter. Very nice guy. His quote for a new furnace in case I need one is also very reasonable. read more

TFF HVAC is wonderful. I am out of state at nursing school for a year and have been so nervous that something would happen with my Condo back home since this was my first time ever renting it out. After 8 months, my renter told me the heater stopped working. I was way stressed and didn't know who to call so I hopped on yelp and just hoped for the best. I couldn't be more pleased with how it all went. Tony was fabulous. When I first called he went through every detail with me and answered my thousands of questions. He always called and texted when he said he would and he was very prompt to get the heater checked out. He even worked around my renters work schedule! I was worried that since the heater was the initial heater when the condo was built 21 years ago that the parts wouldn't be available or worse, it would need a full replacement. Tony quoted me a ballpark for several scenarios to help me know if I could afford it before he went out to look at it. Then after he saw it, he called with an estimate that was within dollars of the ballpark he had given me. He was able to get the part and fixed it within a few days and the best part, he found the part for cheaper than he quoted and actually gave me the lower price! PLUS, he gave me a student discount on his labor rate which I couldn't have appreciated more since I'm paying to put myself through shcool. This was one of the first times I had to do something on my own like this without parents or whatever and it was really awesome to have someone like Tony who was honest and super helpful. He fixed my heater and I was able to do it all from out of state, I think that's just incredible. Thank goodness for TFF HVAC! read more

Tony put in an A/C unit for the bedroom zone in our house. He was on-time, no change from the reasonable estimate and 3 months later works great. read more

Tony came by the same day to repair our A/C unit that wasn't starting up. He was punctual, professional and very friendly. Not only did he quickly diagnose and fix the problem but he also gave me some great tips on my A/C unit. His rates were very reasonable. I would highly recommend him! read more

Wow! Looks like Tony doesn't need another five stars! Still though, just a vote of confidence-- Tony installed a new Heater for our house back in Sept 2011. His service was fantastic! We highly recommend him! read more

I waited a week after working with TFF just to make sure all was good and so far it is great. As a landlord, I think this was one of the best service calls I have had. From my first call with Tony and some additional follow up calls to help narrow down the problem, Tony worked with me to solve the problem and even gave me a couple of tips to try before spending money for someone to come out. I ended up still needing them to come out and Tony had Galen (sp?) come out as he handles new installs and would be able to help with some air flow issues going on as well. Galen did a great job and showed me some maintenance tips along the way. Hands down, this is the company I will be calling if any future issues come up. Thanks! read more

Great service! Tony called me promptly and was able to fit me in for a heater repair. He was very upfront about what to expect and his fees. The technician, Angel, was early to the appointment and diagnosed things quickly. We were lucky that he had the right part needed in his truck. I will certainly use them again! read more

I had a good experience with Tony's service, having a new clothes dryer vent installed. Tony and his team are courteous, professional, and really easy going. Tony was upfront with his estimate, was well-prepared for his visit (bringing everything he might need for the job and more), and even took his shoes off before entering my house without prompting. read more

I called TFF after getting a rather large estimate from another company to fix my furnace. I was very impressed with Tony's professionalism and knowledge. He quickly identified the issue and fixed the loose connection for a fixed service fee. He also offered to replace my filters and came back a few days later to install them. I would highly recommend Tony to my friends and family. Definintely a 5-star experience :-) read more

Long overdue. Tony is just awesome. We had an A/C installed about a couple of years ago. Tony provided the best quote, performed great job installing it and helped me get the permits from the city as well. Just go with him, and you won't be wrong. read more

Excellent service, fair price, great resource for future needs. Tony was the only one who answered his phone in person on a Sunday, came out the next day and had the furnace/AC back up and running quickly. The situation was complicated by some legacy home-automation wiring, but he troubleshooted the thermostat, resolved the wiring issue and diagnosed the problem with the condensation pump. Huge relief to be in such capable hands and to find someone who is trustworthy and dependable. read more

I called TFF HVAC, spoke with Jose, he scheduled an appointment for me with little lead time. He was polite, professional, and efficient. The technician, Jason called 20 minutes prior to my appointment, confirmed my address, let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time; I told him the issue I was having with my air conditioner. In 15 minutes he had resolved the issue. Jason was professional and quite pleasant. He provided me with an invoice that listed diagnostic service call and replacement start capacitor charges...very fair! I will recommend TFF to anyone in need of service. I will contract them to install a new air conditioner at my rental property. Thank you Jason and Jose. read more

Tony is extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. He and his crew fixed our heating ducts at a great price and with fantastic service. He genuinely tries hard to help you out, and offers suggestions and finds ways to solve problems efficiently and at the best price. I would recommend him to anyone who has problems with their heating system. read more

Most of the ducts in my house were not blowing out any air. These guys fixed the problem in less than an hour and charged a LOT less than another company I called for an estimate. The other company was going to charge $300/vent and TFF charged less than $100 for my entire house. Apparently the problem was that some of the ducts going from the furnace to the vents were seriously damaged and the company replaced them. I was really happy with the service until we tested it out and there was minimal air coming out of a few vents...I'm talking so little air that you have to put your hand less than an inch from the vent to feel anything...and even then it felt weaker than someone breathing on your hand. The guy said it should still do a decent job of warming the rooms up despite the minimal air flow. He also said that if I wanted to increase the airflow, I could use something (a diverter, maybe?) to divert some of the air from vents closer to the furnace to the two poor-performing vents. The vents to those rooms do not do an adequate job of heating the rooms...they are just as cold when the heater is turned off. Having new duct work to make the airflow better is moot if there's no air going to the vents anyway. On the work that was actually done, I've got no complaints and I'd give it a 5 star rating for the amount of time it took to finish, the cost, and the professionalism of the guy who installed the new duct work. This two star rating reflects the fact that although the new ducts make it possible for hot air to get from the furnace to the rooms, no hot air is traveling through the vents at this point. After I save up some money, I might give them a call back to finish the job and if that happens, I'll update this review. read more

Long story short: -Great service -Very knowledgeable -Respects your home -Highly recommend to a friend -Definitely will call them again -Deserves more than 5 stars if I can gave more Full story: First off, you may ask, why do they deserve more than 5 stars? They have done something that nobody else can do - diagnose my odd problem over the phone. I called around to get some price quotes and I only picked the ones with at least 4 stars on Yelp. None of them can give me a ball park over the phone or tell me what the problem is based on what I told them. I have been in service business for over 20 years and I understand that is very hard to do. Tony, on the other hand, totally caught me off guard here. He came back with a few possibilities right away (that's experience right there), give me a price range from the best to the worse case scenario, and scheduled an appointment with me all in less than 5 minutes over the phone. Sean, who worked for Tony for over 10 years, arrived the next day (on time! which is even more amazing) . Found the problem in less than 3 minutes after he entered the house and took care of it. He entered my house with shoe covers and asked me for my permission before he uses some furniture to climb up to the vent registers to do some tests. Very professional with respect of my home. He even spent the time to explain the problem in full detail and gave me a few tips on how to maintain the unit. Price is very reasonable (sure, it's slightly more expensive than the other guys but it's worth every penny of it) but I know I have the peace of mind the moment he walks out of my front door. Service was quick. He has done all that in less than an hour which means he won't drag on to get you to pay for the second hour. I have dealt with others in the past and none of them can fix my problem. So I gave up and thought that my AC unit is beyond repair. For over 6 years, I have been suffering from 100+ degrees during summers. I regret that I didn't know Tony and Sean earlier. I can see the difference right away and I am very happy to know that my AC unit is working after all. Now I am ready for summer. Don't wait and suffer like I did, call them now before it gets warm. read more

This is my first time on Yelp! I created this account to make sure I post this review! Tony was great! He was really informative! He was able to fix our problem! Now we are enjoying our AC comfort! I would definitely recommend him to all my friends! Thanks Tony!! read more

This is the way a business should be run to get referrals and return business! Tony was professional and pleasant. He called before his appt. time to let me know he was running late, then showed up when he said he would, diagnosed our issue which was a problem we created with running some wiring, and didn't even charge us. Gave us suggestions on our heating air intake to improve efficiency. I would recc Tony to all my friends and would call him in a scond for any future work needed. read more

Another excellent job by TFF. This time my AC needed work and Tony was very quick to diagnose the problem w/o trying to sell me unnecessary hardware and labor. He was honest, upfront, and quickly fixed my issue. The AC now blows ice cold air and we are ready for the very hot summary days. Highly recommended. read more

It's a shame I wasnt able to experience the "excellent" service Tony provides as mentioned in the reviews! I called to schedule an appointment and never received a call back...that was 2 weeks ago! I specifically contacted TFF Hvac due to the 5 star rating and comments here on yelp. Not returning business phone calls is simply unprofessional! read more

This husband and wife team are a pretty exceptional pair. I needed a whole new HVAC system complete with duct work installed in a property that was also undergoing a major gut job of a renovation. Due to poor planning and miscommunication on my end, the installation occurred over a period of a couple of months, but at no fault of Tony or Heidi. Most of the work was completed on time and in just two days in early November, but we had to wait on inspection due to some permit issues I needed to clear up. Through it all, Tony was a class act--patient and accommodating. Running the communication side of things, Heidi was always prompt with a quick response to every single question or concern that I had during this whole process (and there were many). By the time it was all done, I had a new system installed so professionally that even my meticulous contractor was impressed by the workmanship. Not to mention that of the quotes I received, Tony's was by far the most competitive and reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to call on these two for future HVAC needs and neither should you. read more

Really enjoyed working with Tony and his team. On time, courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect.

Tony is someone you can trust. He is knowledgeable, experienced, energetic, and sincere. His price quote is decent, and he uses good material...Thank you for your time, Tony. read more

On time, fair, honest... I called and left a message and Tony got back to me later that day. We set up an appointment via text message and he was right on time. My aircon was out and not blowing even though the outside compressor was running. Within 30 min., Tony and his assistant repaired the blower with a new resistor (capacitor?), change the filters and were out the door! Awesome! This was the second time I have used Tony and he is great. read more

Excellent! Very hard working crew, stayed late into the evening so everything was expertly done. We had both a new furnace installed and a new a/c unit. Our older unit several years ago was repaired to help extend its lifespan, and they have been very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend read more

I contacted TFF to provide a quote for installing a new furnace and AC unit. Among 5 quotes, they were priced the best when comparing similar equipment. We booked TFF to perform the work within a week of notifying them that we wanted to work with them. Tony and his crew arrived before the official start time of 8 AM. Prior to starting work, Tony explained what was going to happen throughout the day, and we were good to go. The crew was very mindful of working around the house. They laid down floor coverings to ensure that our floors stayed clean during the work, and they always let us know when they went in and out of the house. They did the work so quickly that the entire install was done in a day. Tony dropped by the following day to run through the final checkout and fixed a couple of minor issues (thermostat mount was not assembled flush to the wall and the AC was hooked up to the wrong fan speed terminal). All in all, Tony and Heidi were very responsive to our communications, their crew did a top notch job, and the system works as advertised so far. read more

Tony arrived on time to give me an estimate on some things in our house. I liked how he was very honest and ended up saying that I shouldn't be spending money on the gas furnace relocation as I originally planned. I would totally trust him to do the work but he suggested that it will be more rational not to proceed to make any changes with the furnace. Oh well, he probably knows more about HVAC things than I do. read more

Tony's team did a really great job. I have my primary AC condensation drain clogged near the coil so it's pretty hard for me to clean it by myself. His team cleaned it extremely fast and even changed the pipe to avoid future clogging. I will definitely look for TFF HVAC in the future for other HVAC works. read more

I requested for a furnace estimate and Tony came on time and explained in details what will be done with the furnace replacement and provided an option to do separate zoning for upstairs and downstairs. Heidi followed up promptly with a written estimate. She's quick to response to email and answered all the questions and very courteous. I decided to go with the 2-stage furnace and sealing the ductwork which seem to help with the air quality and reducing the dust gather in the house. The crew were very professional with the installation and clean up well afterward. I noticed that the upstairs get more heat than downstairs and Heidi sent someone promptly to take a look and make some adjustments and everything is great now. read more

I'm not sure why he's such a hot shot on the Yelp review. Nice enough guy, but he took my money, didn't really fix anything, and try to sell me more than I needed. Now I have to fix the problem on my own or spend more money on someone else. read more

Great service. Tony gave advice before he came of the likely causes (and costs to repair). It turned out to be the less expensive of the two. He had the parts on hand, and was done in short order for less than $150. My air conditioner works great again, and the family is happy! Good job. read more

Tony is amazing. He had installed AC at our house a few years and last year also replaced our Furnance. Yesterday, our AC stopped working during the heat wave. After checking a few things myself, I couldn't figure out what was the issue. Called Tony and he was at my place within 24 hours. He replaced a bad part and didn't even charge us. I am happy to be writing this review in comfort of my home, when it is 95F outside, thanks to Tony. Very difficult to find great HVAC contractor like Tony. read more

My neighbour recommended Tony Ferriera and his company to me. He had done work for them like 4 years ago. Tony sent Rich over and took care of an air condition primary condensation line clog that has been going on since the builder installed it incorrectly. I had another HVAC company take a look at it last year they did work at it took my money and could not fix it. Tony was on the phone giving Rich expert advice since the problem was a tough nut to crack. They fixed it and charged an amount that was very very reasonable. Highly recommended. Thank you for fixing a problem we lived with for 13 years read more

We wanted to get a Central AC installed before summer and contacted few companies to get the quote. Few companies even tried to charge us for obtaining quote. The best quote we got was from Tony. We wanted the installation to happen on a weekend and other companies were charging us extra for a weekend installation. With Tony it was really easy, he is available on weekends. The first time when Tony visited us he first checked the furnace in attic and made sure it would be compatible with the Air conditioner that he was recommending. His quote included installation, inspection and the Carrier Central AC, 15 Seer. He also recommended us to get a lower tonnage air conditioner to save money long run since we had zone heating/cooling in our house. he also suggested that a 2.5 Ton AC would be good enough for us and also recommended us to get a more efficient one with lesser noise. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. His crew did an excellent Job with installation, demonstrated professionalism by taking care of subtle things and cleaned up afterwards. He not only installed Condensor but also integrated the system with furnace in the attic and wired it perfectly to thermostat control. Everything worked like a charm. He is easy to talk to and will answer all your questions patiently. He also took care of AC inspection all by himself and scheduled one with the district inspection officer. We have been using the AC for several days now and it is working fine. When it comes to any AC/Heater/Sheet Metal work we would definitely recommend Tony for the Job. read more

I have a 16 year old home and my HVAC system was not working properly. I contacted 4 different companies, including TFF HVAC, based on reviews here. I didn't go wrong in selecting to work with Tony. He always kept his appointments. Always called if he was going to be late due to traffic etc. His bid was quite good and his diagnosis was right on the spot. The project involved replacing 2 furnaces/evaporators, redoing all the duct works (2 floors), adding new registers and installing a dual zone system. THis was a big project by any standard and I was a bit apprehensive about how it will turn out. Tony started the work on the appointed day and finished the whole thing in 2 days!!. At the end of each day, all the debris were hauled out and the work space was cleaned. After installation, when he turned the system on, I was amazed how quickly the house was cooled. Even more impressive was the fact that Tony backed up his work as promised. When I called him a few days later to complain about my bedroon not getting cold enough, he immediately sent someone to re-do the duct work and fix the problem. I found him to be very polite, courteous and easy to work with. I have worked with a lot of contractors but never with someone like Tony. You won't go wrong in giving him a call. read more
