Another great job by Texas Tree Elite. We had a pine tree in our back yard that was damaged when another tree swiped it and fell during Hurricane Beryl. I guess that stressed the tree enough to the point that it couldn't defend itself: it was infested with pine bark beetles. Within days we watched it go from semi-brown on a few branches to totally brown. Wow. Called Texas Tree Elite as soon as they opened on a Monday morning. Within hours, Jose was here to give us an estimate. Since this tree was perilously close to the power lines, it would be a little more expensive to remove. Received a fair quote, and the next day the crew was here. In about an hour, this tree was gone, stump ground, yard cleaned. What a crew! We have a sick Live oak in our front yard and had one of their certified arborists come out to take a look. We had one tree in bad shape and one just starting to show a problem. He implied that the very sick tree probably couldn't be saved. He did not tell me what was wrong with the tree, but offered a $500 deep root fertilization and fungicide treatment. We paid them to do this treatment on the tree just showing a problem. After doing some research on my own, I determined that the tree most likely has Oak Wilt, which is 100% fatal and can't be treated. The arborist's job is apparently to sell their fertilization treatment, and not to diagnose the problem. Looking around my neighborhood and area of town, about 50% of the oak trees have Oak Wilt. read more

I contacted them to get a bid on having a couple trees removed in my yard. I received an email offering a couple dates someone could come out. We confirmed the date/time, but when it came time for someone to come, they no showed the appointment. I emailed and told them no one came. Then I received an phone call. The lady on the phone said it was her fault, that she forgot to put in the computer. So we scheduled for the following Friday morning. She assured me someone would be there. Jose came out and did a walk through and sent the crew over on the day and time we requested. This team really exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond by ensuring every tree was trimmed as we requested and when we asked to remove 4 smaller trees near the foundation of the house, they spent a significant amount of time digging them out and ensuring there was nothing left to grow back. They cut down one very large tree and did it with ease. All this said, they cleaned up every leaf and left our yard as if they had never been there with the exception of all perfectly trimmed trees and removal of those we asked for. We needed two large pine trees removed that were causing issues with our patio and down the road would have done significant damage to the foundation. I had three quotes provided. Not only did Mike give the best price he was extremely professional and explained everything to us in detail. On the day of removal our neighborhood had last minute sewer work happening that we were not made aware of until the night before. Mike and his team accommodated the situation, returned in the afternoon to do the most prompt and efficient tree removal I've ever seen. They left everything the way they found it, aside from taking away the two trees. Our roof and patio were blown off and the yard raked of debris. I had a huge live oak that had grown over the years to less than 7 feet from the back of the house. It had started to slowly die and although it broke my heart to lose it and the shade it gave our back yard,- to say nothing of the danger in case of a bad storm - it had to go. Chris, the arborist came out and verified same. The crew that came out a week later was on time and professional. Watching them for the several hours it took was frightening for me - just seeing them so very high up - it was just another day for this fine group of workmen. Day of service finished in 3 hours in what I thought would be a days work. They removed limbs and rigged all in order to not damage anything. 5 stars only because there isn't 6. We had a large pine tree and a medium pine tree that had been struck by lighting and was between our house and our neighbors house (very close together). Good price for work. Texas tree elite was able to get out quick (a day or two after estimate). They did a great job, worked fast getting 1 big and 1 medium pine out, especially considering how close they were to our houses. Chris, the ISA Certified Arborist, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and took time assessing the health of our trees. I used Texas Tree Elite recently for a large trimming and tree cutting job at my house and could not be happier with their service. From quotation to execution to cleanup everything was done professionally. Jose Rodriquez came by and gave a competitive quote and upon my request, came back again to address some questions that i had regarding the scope of work. Then the crew showed up at the agreed time and went to work right away. They worked quickly, efficiently and with the right equipment, taking care not to damage my property as well as those of my neighbors. They also made sure that they went and cleaned up any branches that fell across the fence in my neighbors' yards. It was a large job so they returned the next day to finish it and then cleaned up after themselves. They left my yard in a better condition than when they initially arrived.
