I want to commend Valentine, the service rep who coordinated the warranty repairs on my RV. When I first went in to get some work done he found two recalls, one from before I bought the RV, and another I had been told of via a Forest River recall notice. Both were accomplished in a timely manner. After a month plus delay in receiving a part, not the fault of the dealer, all of my warranty issues have been resolved. Valentine kept me apprised of the progress in getting the part on a regular basis. That attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Kudos to Valentine - he is an asset to his employer. PS - I'm knocking off one star from the overall 5 star rating because the techs didn't adequately clean up after themselves. Also my trash container lid was broken during my first visit. I told Valentine about it tdy & he offered to buy me a new one...I appreciate the offer but it would not be worth the hour long drive to go back to get it. Valentine gets 5 stars read more

DO NOT do business with this company! They are crooked and slimy! In January of 2024 i went to Texas Trader RV to purchase a small motor home. I applied for a loan and was denied, but the salesman Joe told me he got 2 loans approved for the amount of the over priced rv. I declined because the interest rate was too high. 4 months later I was checking my credit status and realized there was 2 credit cards opened in my name in January conveniently for the amount of the 2 loans Joe said I was approved for. I can't help but wonder how many other people they have done this to. I would have never known if I didn't check my Credit Karma account. Not only should this business be shut down they should be areasted for fraud. read more

We purchased a 2022 Forrest River Wildwood 36 footer RV on August 25th. When RV was being inspected and moved to the front of the lot, an employee crashed the top gutter and damaged the RV. They also found a recall on the awning that rolls out , which they removed and ordered a new one. We informed the Salesman and Service department we were leaving September 1st to Washington State, and that my husband would be in town until end of September to pick up awning part. We got a call October 10th stating part was in and we reminded them we were in Washington state now that they needed to ship the part to us. Also we dont have any hot water in our shower, for over a month we have been asking them to send someone to come check our hot water connections. Also some of the blinds do not work and one just fell off the wall during transport. We called them and told them all the problems we have been having and Jesse stated we need to pay for shipping and that we need to bring RV back to their site for repairs. We paid over 50K for this RV, and we have insurance on this RV, but no one locally will work with La Feria Texas Trader warranty service. If we have an outside mobile repair come and fix all their screw-ups, it would be out of pocket with NO reimbursement. I find this unacceptable and ridiculous. Your salesman, your service department all knew we were leaving Texas and when, it's ridiculous. They dont keep their word. When they crashed our RV they tried to blame us, it wasnt until I sent them pictures my daughter took of us leaving the Texas Trader parking lot with the salesman putting on our license plate, did they say "Oh, You got us!" but up until then they kept saying it was our fault and we had to pay for the repairs. I would not trust their word or their people. read more

My salesman ( Robert)and technicians (Carlos and JR) were great! The management at this RV dealership not great. They employ deceptive trade practices, which is breaking the Deceptive Trade Act (LAW). The deception is when you start the purchase process you're asked to list any requests for issues you want addressed before you take your RV off the lot. The problem is there is no electricity or ladders available to check fireplaces or fans that are high up. When we did the final walk through, I asked the technician to show me how the fans and fireplace worked...the fans and fireplace didn't work. I didn't think this was a big deal because up to this point the finance was GREAT and the simple requests were taken care of. Unfortunately, instead of fixing the fireplace and the fans the manager decided to say, "This was not on your list of what needed to be fixed, so that's on you." I responded with, "How would I know without a ladder or electricity?" This proceeded with you can use your ($7,000/4 year) warranty in 30 days to have those issues fixed...hence deceptive trade practices. They have to disclose what is wrong with the RV. Texas Trader RV in La Feria, Texas, needs to be forth right and sincere. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend them...or you could tell them hook it up to electricity and bring me a ladder! I left my RV on consignment and they inflated the price and sat there for four months. I want to buy another RV and use my one on consignment plus cash towards a larger RV. Salesman, Juan, in front of two other people on three different occasions quoted the difference I would owe The day I went there to buy the price changed and wanted me to pay $2500 more. They bait and fish you. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

Just had a wonderful experience at Texas Trader RV. Traded in my current RV for a larger one. My salesman Greg, understood exactly what I wanted and immediately took me to choices of what I was looking for. Their prices are competitive, they offered me more for my trade in than others, and got me a great interest rate on my loan. They made sure everything worked properly and did some minor repairs. Beware. Beware Beware. Just bought a new Forest River Wildwood Trailer from here. Pleasant purchasing experience. Staff was attentive. Purchased the 5 year service contract for additional $2000+. Had the trailer for 3 weeks and main AC went out. Paid them $125 for a service call. Guy turned AC on and worked....maybe AC froze? Not sure. Fixed another item, and left. Came back to trailer 4 days later and AC not working again. Left it off overnight and still doesn't work. Plus, microwave has now power now. Reset breakers and fuses are working. Said they'll com out to look at it for another $125. All within 30 days of purchase. Don't purchase here, it'll cost you. read more

Beware of placing RV for sale at texas trader you may not get your asking price even if they sell it for more then your price. They told the rv owner that they only got $5500 for the rv when they really received $10000. Lucky for owner I knew them and let them know the real price.The owner called texas trader and then and only then owner got their asking PRICE. When I brought up incident, texas traders responds was this a business and we are here to make money. Here's my story. Suburban furnace was not staying lit. Called Carlos and he said bring it over to bench test. Dennis, the tech, bench tested and walked me through every step. He replaced the control module and it now works. The board was about twice the price that I would pay buying online. I did not have the equipment nor the spare module to diagnose it on my own. Their labor charge was $125 an hour about the going rate. All and all I'm happy. Found them to be professional and respectful. Dennis, the tech, was good to work with. Unlike the other reviews, I asked at every step what was the cost. They gave me honest and accurate responses. I recommend Dennis to work on your RV. read more

i just got off the phone with Mark the Manager/owner i had called 2 weeks ago about getting our pop up fixed we need the cable that lifts it up replaced when we called we were told that it was $90 for the part and they could order it for me and it would be 3 maybe 4 hours labor at $98.50 an hour i had called back on March 4th at 10:30 am and told them i would like ot bring it in to get fixed and they told me it was going to be 8 hours of labor to get it fixed this is when i asked to speak to the manager and Mark got on the phone he says he will get with his people and give me a call back wait 3 whole days and call back today March 7th at 11:30 he is on the other line and a message is left to tell him to return my call as i have been waiting and need this done STILL no call back so i again call and when he gets on the phone he is rude and tells me he has been to busy to return my call and it is peak season i tell him i need this done and want to know how much it will be he says he doesn't know i told him me and a friend FIXED it (not replaced) and it took us about 2.5 hours and we didn't know what we were doing. he says " well why don't you and your friend fix it this time if you don't like our prices" i told him wow i didn't know that's the kind of customer service to expect but whatever as i would be leaving a review about this experience and his answer to that " AWWWWWW F%$K YOU " and hung up so needless to say i would STAY AWAY from these guys. no time for customers, WAY over priced, and the most HORRIBLE customer service and attitude towards customers i have EVER seen. read more
