Actually, they have a good size menu and have some American options along with juices and smoothies so It made ordering easy. They also have a full bar with several cocktails and mocktails. Inside right when you enter is the actual bar with about 6 seats which were full with customers during my entire visit. Their happy hour ends at 6pm, but I arrived at 7pm so I ended up missing the discounted drinks. I ordered the cod and shrimp pita which ended up being slightly different than the regular gyro. I had to set it down after a couple of bites since the wheat pita bread is much thinner than regular pita bread and it kept falling apart on me. I also added a mango mojito. With a name like Island Grill, I sort of expected to see more tropical drinks or rum-based cocktails show up on the menu, but this was about the only one. Overall, my experience was okay, but I don't know if it was good enough for me to return.

Got invited to dinner with my sister and we decided to try SwicHouse--and I'm glad we did!…read more It's located inside a Marriott Hotel, but don't let that fool you--the atmosphere was really nice and had a great vibe. Our waiter was excellent and gave solid recommendations. I ordered the blueberry margarita and it was sooo good--sweet, refreshing, and definitely a win. Our waiter suggested the smokehouse platter to share, and we added an order of truffle fries. Let me just say... those truffle fries were AMAZING. Thick-cut, crispy, and full of flavor--hands down the best thing on the table. The smokehouse platter was more than enough food for two people. The brisket sliders were tender and flavorful, the wings were great, the pickled peppers were a nice touch, and the ribs were finger-licking good. The only downside was the potato skins--they were just meh compared to everything else. Overall, great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back, especially for a date night or casual dinner.

The place is inside a hotel but has access from both outside and inside the hotel lobby. SERVICE: We sat at the bar, received our menus and asked for two coffees, which never came. A while later, a different server/bartender asked if you want drinks we requested a coffee again. We had to request various items multiple times from multiple people before they were actually brought over to us. No big deal, we weren't in any particular rush, but have you ever gotten that feeling like you're bothering the server every time you ask for something? That was that feeling. I was still eating when we were handed our check. We paid. We were planning on staying for mimosas after eating, so we asked for 2 mimosas we were handed our drinks with a check. Again, the place was not busy, to the extent that the staff was hanging out and talking in a group. (That doesn't bother me, we all deserve some adult conversation.) We felt in the way so we paid and decided to go elsewhere for some mimosas. FOOD: I had the waffle with a side of bacon. Waffle was served warm, crisp & soft as a waffle should be. It was nice and thick and a great size, plus it was delicious! I couldn't finish it, I was soo full! The pecan butter was scrumptious and the berries were fresh and sweet. Both in great proportion to the waffle. The bacon was crispy and served warm. Overall a delicious and plentiful breakfast. CLEANLINESS: The place was clean, clean. The bar, general restaurant area and bathrooms were all spic & span.

So from somebody who goes frequently, heres a honest rating on the foods i had. (I get the same thing a lot so i havent tried everything) Appetizers: Hat trick: 6/10, it was alright, the nachos were okay and they could put more cheese, nd i got the brisket egg roll. Giant Pretzel: 100/10, so good n hot! Egg rolls - Buffalo Egg Roll: 5/10, mac wasnt all that and just tasted plain. Birria Egg Roll: 9/10, it was yummyy. Brisket Egg Roll: 8/10, if it wasnt cut in half, it probably wouldve been a lil better ngl but otherwise its pretty good. Wings - Bone in: Lemon pepper 10/10, Garlic Parm 10/10, Boneless - Garlic parm boneless: 7/10 (i like bone in better) Burgers - The House: 12/10, juicy and fries are super good. Woodsons: 9/10, i love the bacon jam on it w the onions, it was just a lot for me. Smash Burger: 4/10, it was more expensive then the actual burger for a smaller, smashed burger. it wasnt allat and i wouldn't rlly get it again tbh. Tacos - Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos: 8.8/10, it was gooodd and i think evb should try it. Birria Tacos: 10000/10, my go to! i love these and there are the hands down best birria tacos in my opinion. i get mine in light cheese, cause its a lot of cheese to me. Pasta and Fish - Cajun Pasta: 3/10, not rlly cajun to me... its no spice at all but its okay i think. Coconut shrimp: 8.5/10, its good! Desserts - Banana Pudding- 9/10 its soo good and i like the nilla wafers on the bottom. the only thing is theres a lot of cream at the top and not that much pudding. Skillet cookie: 10/10, no complaints. Cinnamon Pretzel Bites: 6.5/10, they alright. I think thats everything, this will be updated as i try new things!

We were greeted and seated where we checked out the menu and ordered a bottle of wine to go with our appetizers, Bang Bang Shrimp and Poke. Our appetizers were amazingly delicious as we picked out our entrees. Federal American Grill was very regal looking from the outside and even more so on the inside. The wait service was impeccable and top notch while the menu was simple American fair. My wife went with the Roasted Chicken, I chose the Chicken Fried Steak and my 15 year old granddaughter picked the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. We received our meals and were completely underwhelmed. Our portions were extremely small but a lot of time went into the presentation of the meals. As for the taste, it was just okay. Even my granddaughter, who is not hard to impress, was not enthusiastic about one of her favorite meals. Federal American Grill seemed to be a bit pricey for the actual amount of food you received and I think more effort went into the presentation of the meal than the actual flavor of the meal. We walked away from our family dinner after having a great time but still feeling hungry. We Just felt like we needed a bit more

A very well earned 5 stars for one of my new favorite restaurants in The Woodlands!…read more I've always been intrigued by Bosscat, but never had the opportunity to visit. My husband surprised me with brunch here last weekend and it was everything I hoped it would be. The vibe is elite. I love the way this restaurant is decorated. It was such a good ambiance & I bet it would be a great date night spot. The food was incredible. I have a favorite restaurant in Las Vegas that makes the most amazing beignets with lemon curd. I can confidently say that Bosscat leveled up and blew that favorite out of the water. If there's one thing you take away from this review, let it be that ordering the beignets is necessary. The toasted marshmallow and lemon they're served with elevate them so much. They're delicious! There were so many things on the menu we'd love to try. I'm very excited to come back and try their different menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the year!

DJ was spinning tunes inside but we opted for outdoor seating on their covered patio as it was a nice day. I gotta say I had some trepidation given our CM's earlier experiences here. But everything turned out just fine on our visit. First off I love that everything on the menu is under $20. That means we can order more. I was a bit worried that out steak and eggs would be tough because I ordered it medium rare and it came out more medium well. It's even cut already so they should've been able to tell how well done it was. But it was still tender which is actually all I really cared about. The Holy Smoked Benedict is not your traditional eggs Benedict. Instead of ham they have slices of pork belly. And it's served on a crispy biscuit (I could taste the crunch) with potatoes with a poached egg on top just like a regular Benedict. My only comment would be a little too many potatoes for my particular liking, but you can just brush them off. With the money we saved we got the beignets. They come in a sack of 5 and with a Meyer lemon curd on top side for dipping that has a dollop of melted marshmallow cream on top. They aren't traditional beignets but are really small biscuits. They tasted hot and fresh, and were nice and fluffy regardless, which again is all I really cared about. Cold water comes in an old whisky bottle and is left at your table so you can pour as much as you want when you want. I really wish more restaurants did this. The place is also now on the InKind app so make sure you sign in and pay with the app if you do that kind of stuff. InKind is free and has occasional offers that make dining even more affordable.
