This store just opened up last year and I have come here several times to get building supplies. I was there opening day and met the manager. He was very nice and they appeared to have a good mix of building products in stock. There were some problems with the staff not knowing what they have and the computer listing something that wasn't in stock. I assume they will eventually figure it out, but today was my worst experience. First, the sales guy inside has no idea about nail guns and which nails will fit which gun. They don't have Bostitch (probably the most popular brand), and they have no idea which nails they stock could be used. Next I go get some J flashing and go to check out. The flashing is not marked, and after several minutes searching through the computer, it can't be found. A second sales person doesn't know what it is, so they have to go get the SKU from the shelf (this has happened a couple of times before, but I didn't complain). Turns out the item description in the computer was totally wrong, so the check out lady and I couldn't find it. So now I go to pick up a hardy plank board I also bought and drive in the back. There are only two people there, so I stop to talk to one of them unloading a truck and he just points to the guy stacking stuff on the side of the building. He walks over to a trunk unloading and waves the arm across his body. It looks to me like a signal that he is busy and go ahead and pick it up. (I assume they have some kind of communication system and he knows where I am going). So I proceed back to the hardy plank location and load up my board. Well, now the guy on the fork lift comes down and stops saying: "Sir you cannot just blast through and come back here to pick up stuff!" I said: "I didn't; this guy waved me through" (the bearded guy who waved me through walked up). "No I didn't; I said stop there and wait." (This is total BS); but I don't say anything about him calling me a liar and say: "Sorry I misunderstood you." He says nothing after looking at my invoice and goes to the front of my truck to write down my license plate number on the invoice! What an a-hole; first he waves me through, then he calls me a liar and then he writes down my license plate number like I am stealing something. You have a real problem with the people that work there. Most of your employees have yet to learn anything about what you have and your bearded employee is a rude jerk. If someone in management sees this, I recommend you tell your yard staff that customers need to be treated with respect; they should be served first; not your stacking projects or a delivery truck. If you are understaffed, then you as the manager should be out there helping customers. If there is a misunderstanding with your customer, IT IS your job to apologize, not theirs; you aren't doing your job right otherwise this wouldn't happen. You obviously have some real morons working in the yard now and I won't tolerate being treated like this at any place of business. I have been there over a dozen times and never had this problem before. In fact, I have been told at the gate to go and get my stuff and they will sign it off because they are too busy with other customers. Not only have I spent over $1500 a couple of times there already, but I have sent my contractors over there to buy stuff for some of my jobs. Rest assured, that ends now - you won't be getting my business anymore. I will tell everyone I know what kind of lousy customer service you provide. read more
