We had a gift card and decided on a late lunch. It took the girl at the hostess stand a few minutes to seat us even though there was no one else waiting to be seated. Our waitress was prompt with taking our drink order and did not rush us to order. Bread is always fresh and hot and offered when you are seated with cinnamon butter. We split the 6 oz sirloin and rib combo and had the steamed carrots and broccoli (these were served piping hot and crispy) and a baked potato ( excellent once it was returned hot) as our 2 sides. Steak was ordered medium rare and was served well done and the potato was juat luke warm. Waitress took them back but we didn't get the steak until we were done with our meal but it was cooked petfectly second time around. I also asked for extra bbq sauce for the ribs but again I had to wait until the ribs had gotten cold to get the extra sauce. It's Texas Roadhouse!!! The food was good for the most part. Fries were a bit salty but other than that the food was good. Our waitress was real nice and personable! I wish I knew her name to give her kudos. Even for it being very busy the food was still good. Zero complaints on my prime rib. Also even with it so busy it wasn't messy! I didn't give it 5 stars because I was "lucky" enough to be sitting by the hostess stand. I watched someone come in and check in his party and you can tell by the questions that there was no reservations or call before you get there but you can tell he was friends with the one hostess and was seated before others who have been there him and his party. Group seating is tough here. As a family of 6, we were elbow to elbow in the booth and space for plates was limited. Service was friendly but also incredibly slow. I wound up running late for an event and still can't figure out how that happened. Ordered the chicken tenders platter. Their honey mustard is a good dipping sauce. I don't care for most of their sides so I ordered two salads. You can never go wrong with the rolls. Note: only one coupon per table, even if you have more than one check. I have been in Washington for almost three years now, and me and my wife are traveling to our new home in Virginia we both had what this place is famous for in our opinion and that is steak, it was tender it was nice and cooked to its exact standard. Texas Roadhouse does a good job for a chain steakhouse. The service is good, the prices reasonable and the steaks are tender. Don't forget about the addicting rolls. Fortunately they have a waitlist that makes it easier to get a table in a reasonable amount of time. We are not huge eaters so a 6 ounce Dallas filet with baked potato and salad is filling enough. We have a TRH around my place and it is my family's choice if we ever want to go get a good steak that is reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and the wait times are reasonable. Their chili never disappoints, and that also applies to their potato's skins and most of their appetizers. Usually, we go more often through out the summer months, but I will say that they do a great job at having enough staff at all times. Something that I've always noticed at a Texas road house is that there is enough people working there to handle the high volume they get. If I could've given it less than 1 star I would've. Typically I don't have complaints about this place but this is the exception. Food was good, steak had good flavors as did the shrimp. Having said that, service was the worst I've ever experienced. Our waiter Matt was as useful as wet toilet paper. He had walked past us multiple times and still never brought the items we had asked for. Our salad and entrees came out almost at the same time, he brought out the salads and walked all the way from the kitchen and didn't realize one of salads didn't have any dressing with it. Well, OK so we started off with the Cactus Blossom (TR's take on the Bloomin' Onion - golden-fried onion with Cajun sauce for dipping) . It was good, and significantly less greasy than the time I had Outback's version, but if I had to pick between the two, Outback's is better. My entree was the 6oz steak & shrimp combo (lean, juicy sirloin steak along with large shrimp seasoned, grilled, drizzled with garlic lemon pepper butter) I added buttered corn, and mashed potato with brown gravy. I'm glad I went with the 6oz steak because between that entree, the onion, and the bread, this was a ton of food. Ordered carry out from this location today. Ordered the country fried steak with white gravy. Got home with my order and there was no gravy. I didn't want to eat a dry piece of meat with no gravy. Called the store asking for a refund on this item and was told I would have to bring the item back to the store for a replacement. So because of their incompetence I need to waste time and gas to go back when all I wanted was a refund for that one item.
