I travel back and forth in and around the coastal route often from VA-PA and we always stop for a bite to eat somewhere. Well a good ol Texas Roadhouse raving hit me the day we went. I utilized the app and did a "waitlist seating." We were seated immediately. Our waitress was great. Hard working, and made sure she had everything handled at all her tables. Our orders came out in a timely manner and the food was cooked to our liking. You just can't go wrong with some rolls, a blooming onion and for me steak or chicken here. First visit to Texas Roadhouse. Was given a gift cert for TR and decided to finally use it. It was a Friday night and VERY busy. No seats available at the bar but luckily there we only needed a table for two. Hostesses were friendly. They asked us if we would be ordering steaks and explained how we could pick our own from the selection they had at the entrance of the restaurant. We picked two. A New York Strip & Porterhouse I think. Pricing wasn't bad for location...I like $20 & $22. We only had to wait about 5 minutes. We were seated at a booth. The tabletop was cleared but underneath was missed. There were a few things like wrappers & napkins under it. Waitress was friendly and checked on us the appropriate amount of times. Food served promptly. The bread for the table came out nice and warm. The rolls had a sweetness to them that I didn't mind. The Caesar salad was just ok. Nothing terrible about it but I've had better. We got the fried pickles as an app. They were salty but that's kind of to be expected due to the pickling. The steaks were decent. If you don't go in there thinking you're going to get a Michelin Star quality steak, you won't be disappointed. It wasn't a grubby steak by any means but it also isn't the spot a steak snob would probably love. It's one of those places that is loved and thoroughly enjoyed by the locals. Our bill was about $120 for one app, two steaks, one drink (LIT) two beers and one soda. Not bad for a night out in this day and age. I would recommend it for a quick & cheerful night out. Don't go if you're looking for a romantic 1st date spot. There were a fair number of families there with a few crying kids. If you're sensitive or get annoyed easily by that, I'd either avoid this place or make sure you get a seat at the bar. read more

Without a doubt, the best. We have been going there actually since day 1 of their opening. Keith, the manager opening day is still there and has an amazing team. They have the most amazing burgers and of course steak, bar none. They also have the most delicious fried catfish, either 2 or 3 filets with 2 sides. Other seafood including shrimp, salmon, I think other seafood. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a great meal and relax and they also offer mixed drinks and beer, I'm not sure of wine. Gave 1 star but deserves 0. Tried to eat at Millsboro Roadhouse this afternoon. My wife and I both need assistant devices for walking, but we were taken to a table at the back of the restaurant directly under a running ceiling fan. Not sure if hostess even noticed we needed to use a walker and a cane to walk. 10+ minute wait for server who immediately excused herself. Another 10 minute wait and we asked to be moved to another table but server said she could not do this and we had to wait for the manager to turn off the fan. After another 10 minute wait and no server, no manager, and fan still running at a high speed. Left without having anything to eat. No one bothered asking why we were leaving. Third time in a row that we've had problems with Millsboro Roadhouse. Will not return to this restaurant and maybe no other Roadhouse restaurant. My wife and I eat at the location in Seaford regularly. She always gets the 6oz. Dallas Fillet , and I get the 14oz Ribeye. We don't mind the fact that it's noisy. The name Roadhouse doesn't imply a quiet atmosphere. It's a fun place to go. The ribeye's are always cooked perfectly and have a great flavor with no steak sauce. They also mix some of the best Margaritas in the area . We just ate there tonight. We had a young man named Tyler as our server who we had never had before, despite working there for six years. Our server sergee was great! He was attentive and considerate. Full props to him! However something that was noticeable was the lady behind the bar was very rude. She had brown roots with blonde ends, up in a bun. She would berate her fellow colleagues, then when the manager would walk over she would put on a "customer service" tone and completely shift her attitude. It was especially disheartening to see her scold at the younger workers. One of the younger girls was waiting for a crowd of people to pass and she kept berating her for not being quick enough. Service is great, the woman who served me and my family was very helpful and interactive. appetizers and rolls are great delicious. the quality of food at this location is very consistent. ordered the country fried chicken, they forgot my fries but when we informed them they returned with a very large portion of fries. The chicken was great. I like how they give you an option for brown or cream gravy when ordering, despite it not being listed on the menu that you can choose. Yesterday was my birth day. So I opted to go to Texas Roadhouse in Seaford. Having been there before, I figured it was pretty safe with regard to the quality of the meal. We went there early and got seated quickly. The waitress was nice, but seemed hurried. (The restaurant had just opened and was not crowded). Anyway I got my usual: Medium Rare Sirloin. I always get Medium Rare since I never eat all my meal there and reheat the leftovers at home. That way the steak is not overcooked and dried out. Apparently, Medium Rare had a different connotation to whoever did that steak and it was slightly pink inside. I was hungry so I kept the steak anyway and didn't mention it while I was there. So if you want something Medium Rare, stress it and make sure it's not just a little pink inside because when it gets reheated, it will be more done than not. l have to say this particular location has generally been good and steak cooked as I usually like it! read more

Having received a gift card for Texas Roadhouse, it was our first visit. For a chain restaurant, we thought the food was quite good. The rolls were very good, and so were the house salads, except for some lettuce pieces that had brown edges on them. A little more attention to this issue would be appreciated, as I always put those pieces aside, and some of them can harbor bacteria. My husband enjoyed his ribs. My ribeye was tender and flavorful. It was a fun atmosphere, with good music that wasn't too loud, so that you could still converse. The young servers were energetic, attentive, and personable. Last night our plan was go to Applebees for their late night menu, which we've enjoyed before. When we got there around 9:15 we were told there would be a 5 to 10 minute wait, even though they were barely half full, because they only had two servers on. So ok, we sat down to wait. We went to Texas Roadhouse because A.) I needed to get some dinner and B.) the group of people I was with wanted to get cocktails. The restaurant is located near the Hampton Inn (review is posted) which is where I was staying for the night. Walking into the establishment, it was obvious that it is definitely a hang out spot. Thank goodness we had someone hold us some seats at the bar because there was no vacant areas in the place-lol. Once we were all at the bar and settled, we began to order. The bartender/waitress was patient with all of us as as she took our multiple orders. I was uncertain as to what I initially wanted to eat. As part of my initiative in ensuring that I eat healthier, I got steak w/ carrots + broccoli and a baked potato. It was delicious! My only issue is about 4 times last year I have had an issue with food being undercooked, bland, and even giving my boyfriend food poisoning before. This was my first visit to any Texas Roadhouse so my only comparison was to other local restaurants here in Sussex County, DE. It was recommended that we used the Waitlist that they have online, so we did. We arrived at 6 and although it was packed, we were seated immediately. As soon as I walked in I knew this was a very different experience from other local restaurants. Almost every table was full, the bar was full and this place is huge. Our server, KJ, greeted us immediately and took our drink orders while supplying a basket of warm yummy rolls. I have been dying for a bone-in ribeye steak for over a year since I moved to Delaware and this was the first time it was on a menu. We were a party of 3 , the restaurant is packed, it's dinner hour and I tell you, KJ, out tiny dynamo of a server didn't miss a beat! Our entire order was correct the first time. All of our meals were generous portions and prepared as requested. I eat out a lot and this place got it right. Quick and efficient service, delicious food served as requested, TVs by the bar that were visible to us, trivia game on the table to pass the time and plenty of free refills.
