I highly recommend the Bury Diner. Living in New Jersey, the diner capital of the US, for most of my life, I am very familiar with diners. I now make my home in Maryland. My family and I have been to the Bury Diner several times and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. My wife and I wanted to go out for breakfast this morning and went for a visit to Bury Diner. We were so glad we did! As soon as we entered the restaurant the atmosphere was "Eastern Shore" warm, if you know what I mean! My wife loves cream chipped beef and she was amazed with what they had! That meant she had to try the sausage gravy and biscuits and once again she was glad she did! We are so glad we went there and look forward to sampling their lunch and dinner menus as well! The fact that they are locally owned also means a great deal to us. They have only been open a few months and being a small business owner, I can appreciate the fact that there will be things encountered along the way. But given the amazing staff (which is a reflection of the ownership in my opinion) coupled with the fact that opening a business in this present economy certainly takes a lot of hard work and dedication, I am sure that the future of Bury Diner will be great indeed! read more

Inside was very open and appeared clean but still reminded me of the old Pizza Hut. Waitress promptly seated us, was pleasant, and very attentive to our needs! Checked on us multiple times too!!! Menu was very diverse. Specials sheet aside from the menu looked yummy. Food was ordered and arrived very quickly! Food: Cream of crab soup was a tad too salty for my taste but it was very good! I ordered the spaghetti and it was just ok. Very hot but sauce tasted like it was from a can and the meatballs were meh. Large portion though! Girlfriend had a cheesesteak. Large portion but meat looked like it was super ground up-like ground beef? She only ate half. Hers was very hot as well. It was literally meat, cheese, bread-nothing else. Ordered chicken tenders to go and they were dry when we got home. I must mention I found a few ants crawling across our table and the wall next to us as well. We sat in a booth. I'm not trying to talk the place down because every food place has "bugs" of some sort but the ants completely turned me off. Would we go again? Most likely not. I went about a week ago for breakfast with a friend and the creamed chipped beef and home fries was pretty good. I couldn't get to try lunch. I got the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla and although it was a little greasy it was ok. The fries were either either refried or under a heat lamp for awhile and were tough. My husband got the meatloaf and said it wasn't terrible but just didn't have much seasoning. I think we will wait awhile to try dinner. read more

I wanted to take my family to place we haven't been. So we stop here.. they don't treat you same if you have black people with you. Everyone else was greet super friendly asked if they wanted booth or table. If kids wanted activities things heard lady ask 3 other kids. We was sat in middle away from everyone. We didn't have choice were to sit. So customer service suck when it comes to color of your skin. .. food wise.. there crab soup was good. There tea nasty taste old. Ask for water instead. My 8 year old said she didn't like grill cheese. My oldest said it was good except they put lot of shreds on her bacon cheese burger. Hubby got roast beef which was salty.. when I finally got my cheese steak it was cold. It was just suppose have mayo,onion,mushrooms. Really did a great job with the restaurant nice new tables very clean. All of the staff was awesome. Owner and manager are very knowledgeable and nice people. Food is always great and the service. The bread and rice pudding are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. read more

OK, my friend and i are about senior citizens and enjoy going out for breakfast. Well at least when we can travel to Dover. We have eaten at every diner drive in and dive in Salisbury and this one is about on par with the Sage diner as for cost and poor service. The food was not very hot and took a long time to get considering there was only about 10 people in this place. We had to constantly get the pleasant young lady to bring us coffee while we waited. Another cost saving issue i guess. I wish at least a few of the owners of these places had lived and went to actual Diners back in the 50's and 60's when you had so many small, yet great places to eat. It is a shame when your best two choices in town are Bob Evans, and this one is not that great, and Denny's. Box food chain stores. Maybe some day we will get something here. But as for me i will not waste my time going back to this place. Oh yeah, it would be nice if they at least had cushions on those hard wooden chairs and benches. read more
