Got their breakfast sub this time. It was very good. I love their scrapple. Great food and good prices. They never disappoint.

    Menu as of December 2023.

When it's a Tuesday in December in Salisbury MD and you go to a place for lunch and you have to park on the street because the place is so packed, you know you've come to a good place! This is a local sub shop. No frills, nothing fancy. You come in, you can order eat in, or take out. No wait staff - you order at the counter and when it's ready they call your name. Today I happened upon the "12 Days of Christmas" special - Cheeseburger, fries, drink for $6.50 - and everybody was ordering it. I got there at 11:45, waited about 20 minutes for my order. The cheeseburger is thick and juicy. You can get whatever toppings you want on it. I've been here before and had their subs, during the rest of the year they run the standard $12. See photos for current menu. Remember, no frills. Just good food. Highly, highly recommended if you find yourself having to go to Salisbury for something and you're there around lunch time...

The restaurant is clean, the food is tasty and the staff is very friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch all day.

    Awesome cheesesteaks

Awesome cheesesteak . Great flavor. All of the ingredients just fused together on this roll ... steak, American cheese, and fried onions. What more could you ask for? Mushrooms! However, unfortunately, they don't have mushrooms ???? The 10 inch cheesesteak " lunch special" comes with fries, and drink for $10.

Bacon and Egg on a Plain Bagel

Both sandwiches where very good. The bacon was crispy and the egg tasted great! Not like a microwave egg. $ 1 upgrade for fries and soda was worth it.

This is the double cheeseburger I mentioned in my review.

Best burgers in Salisbury. Freshly made, hand patty, never frozen hamburgers made to order. It's not on the menu but I always ask for a double provolone cheeseburger with fried onions. Outrageous burger. Owner and staff are very accommodating.

Poor service, over priced food, long wait times. My scrapple was undercooked. It is like eating a pound of grease.

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.

Portions were on the large side so we had leftovers for a full takeaway meal. The egg rolls were new to us - corned beef dipped in a mustard sauce was an unusual, yet pleasant appetizer. They arrived hot with the interior cheese melted. Good. Side of broccoli was cooked to a soft texture - this is normal in many restaurants, yet I prefer crunchy raw so will ask for that next time. Service: Emily appeared frequently enough so we did not feel neglected. She's obviously experienced as we observed her navigating an increasingly busy clientele. Surprised for being after normal lunch time - 1:00 PM. She seemed to agree with our menu choices by sayiing "Good Choice." on our selections, Ambiance: Decor reminiscent of an Irish pub. It's NOT a college-student hangout by appearances and Emily's description. Surprising given how close this place is to the University. Tables and chairs, and booths appeared clean. Restroom was accessible, clean and well supplied. Mix of background music from Billy Joel to Irish titles. Ample free parking in front lot. Overall, a top rating due to a surprisingly pleasant experience offering unique to Salisbury food and atmosphere. Few notes: 1. Backs of booths are shared. Thus, you can feel neighboring diner shifting seats or leaning back. Like a kid kicking your airplaine seat back behind you, it's a minor irritation IF done once or twice. 2. Female servers need not wear minikilts and shorts to attract business in my opinion. Their uniform, if required, brings into question whether it's a family place. Regular length kilts would add suitable authentic atmosphere IMO.

They have a good selection of beer and I tried the Grapefruit Shine which I really enjoyed. I had the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich. It was a fried chicken breast on a roll with bacon, cheese and Old Bay aioli. Three of us ordered this and we all thought it was really tasty and my husband enjoyed his Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. But be warned it is messy. So yes food was good so why the four stars instead of five unfortunately it was our service. Even though we ordered our appetizer, a Bavarian pretzel ahead of time it did not come out until our meal. And yes this can be timing from the kitchen. But we hardly saw our server, her section for the evening was so spread out that she was not attentive to us. We will still go back just hoping our service will be better.

And because we are a Responsible Professional Company we were on-site 15 hours early. Imagine my delight when I saw that the receiving building shared a lot with a brewery teehee. Truck stop tacos for dinner? - I think not. Now in other reviews you know how I feel about breweries without food. Not the case here - pizzas, sandos, pretzels, salads, wings. And the beer list?? Multiple sours for me, hazy IPAs for he, and pumpkin flavored beer to usher in autumn. After that huge setup all we got were fries and beer lmao. The point is we COULD HAVE gotten more if we wanted it. Fries were hot and crispy. The pumpkin beer was incredible. And of note, the actual restaurant space was huge. With Rona numbers on the rise, we opted to sit outside on the huge patio. All in all, def worth a visit especially if you're in nearby Assateague or similar attractions and are tired of crabs lol.
