Shocked that a TRH has this many positive reviews! First time going. Funny story, my SO and I have been trying to get a seat here for Valentine's Day for three years now. We initially chose it thinking "oh it's v day, people will want to do something nicer than TRH". WRONG. Told a 3 hour wait and we shuffled over to the Olive Garden. Well, this year, I was smart. I went online weeks prior to make a reservation, only to find out that they don't take reservations--only a waitlist. So I plotted. I told myself that I'd start looking at the waitlist starting at 2p for Valentine's Day I kid you not, by 330p, the waitlist was already at 1.25 hours. 30 min later at 4p, the waitlist was at 2hrs. Perfect. 6pm dinner sounds great! We arrived and they seated us within 2 minutes. Our waiter came promptly and checked on us so many times. Salads came out literally within a minute of us ordering. Entrees took five minutes. A wait staff stood there and waited for us to cut into our steaks to ensure that it was to our liking. And we pay at the table on a machine on our own time. We got in and out in 30 minutes. Whoever is the manger/GM know how to manage. Kudos to them for an insanely smooth holiday dinner. Also... a chain restaurant having an almost 4 star review is insane--but now I understand. read more

Haven't been to Texas Roadhouse in awhile. The wait was nearly on hour after getting on the wait list, but then this was the weekend ant the place was packed. Of course the food was delicious and worth the wait. Being packed, it was louder than I remember it being on my last trip. Our server, Javier was pleasant and helpful, although he forgot to put in our appetizer, but we didn't mind as when finished eating we were full and the app may have been too much. It's right by AMC Theaters, making it the perfect spot for a pre-movie meal or just a great night out. The atmosphere here is always lively and welcoming, with the friendliest staff who make you feel right at home. My absolute favorite meal EVER is the 6oz sirloin steak, perfectly cooked every time, paired with a loaded baked potato that is simply to die for. And let's not forget about their house margaritas - they are the perfect complement to any meal and always hit the spot. The consistency in quality and service over the years is what keeps me coming back. Whether I'm dining in or grabbing a quick bite before a movie, Texas Roadhouse in Olathe never disappoints. This may be the quickest review I've done to date. Tried out the Texas Roadhouse in Olathe. First, the rolls came out and were fresh out of the oven. They were a perfect golden, brushed with butter, piping hot, and almost melted in my mouth. Emmi (sorry if the spelling is wrong) was an A+ server. She was very attentive, offered suggestions, and kept the water and rolls coming. My order was taken and came out shortly after. Everything was delightful, accurate, and hot. The salad was a side salad. Don't expect anything extravagant as it served its purpose. The chicken fried chicken and baked sweet potatoe complimented each other. The sweet and salty were needed to make the meal pop. I will definitely visit this location again when on that side of time. Hope that the meal is just as delicious !! Hannah was our server. She greeted us promptly when we arrived to the table and took our drink orders. She supplied us more bread and butter as we finished the first basket of bread. My husband ordered the medallions. When they arrived she had him cut into one of the pieces to make sure it was prepared correctly. She checked on us the perfect amount of times. My family and I visited here for an early dinner. I joined the waitlist, and we were seated immediately upon arriving. Within an hour this location was packed so I'm glad we arrived early. Texas Roadhouse USED to be one of our most favorite - NOT ANY LONGER. Online ordering will NOT accept GIFT CARDS and, therefore, we MUST CALL IN the order. Boy! what a stressful fiasco to do that! The past 5 times we have called in a carryout order they have gotten it totally wrong. No rolls, no salad dressing, not much content to Tater Skins.... but THIS TIME you all REALLY MESSED UP. I SLOWLY gave the order over the phone and the carryout person had me tell "Road Kill" THREE times because people were talking/laughing loud in the background or maybe she just couldn't figure out what she was doing. Then I said baked potato with butter and a house salad with extra ranch dressing - for both of those Road Kills. Then I repeated "TWO Road Kill, both with a baked potato with butter, second side on both: side salad with extra ranch. AND one order of tater skins with sour cream" She kept being distracted by those in the background and quoted the amount to be around $56. I said "NO! I'll repeat what I want again to make certain you got it right." She said she got it and no need to repeat it. Then she said we'll figure it out when you get here. Before my husband left to go get the order, I figured it out online (if I COULD have ORDERED it ONLINE with GIFT CARDS!) and it came to around $36. When my husband got there, the girl quoted him $56 and he asked for a manager. They had 4 guests on the ticket, 2 Road Kill, Tater Skins as a MEAL, 2 Baked Potatoes in EACH Road Kill AND 2 large House Salads $9.49 each - since WHEN does a ROAD KILL MEAL come like THAT?! - should have been appetizer of Tater Skins, 2 Road Kills with a baked potato and a side salad. That's how it comes on the MENU. There was NO apologies but the manager didn't charge us extra for the two extra baked potatoes (which we won't eat) and the 2 HOUSE SALADS. No sour cream for our tater skins either. With ALL of the technology available nowadays, GET YOUR ONLINE ORDERING WITH GIFT CARDS FIXED. We are about done with you - period. Stopped in for dinner with friends from having a long busy week, our server Michelle was a light of sunshine, she was so very polite and helpful. I don't typically go to Texas Roadhouse. Not out of a dislike but because we have so many restaurants close to home there isn't a reason to go. However, visiting family changed that and I went *twice* in one week because my parents really love TR. I can see why. TR has managed to provide a strong menu of well-prepared food at a reasonable price point. Lunch for 3 adults was just $55 plus tip. Not bad!!! My first meal was grilled chicken with veg sides. My second meal was a 6oz sirloin cooked medium rare with veg sides. Then because my mom and dad don't eat much now I had TR a third time with leftover chicken critters forming the protein for a dinner salad. All delicious! Well done TR. Pleasantly surprised with my experience. I had not been to a Texas Roadhouse in over 10-15 years. To be honest, this type. Of corporate environment has never been my vibe. And the general style of this establishment also never resonated with me. However, I do understand why this place is always busy because they for sure have a great "bang for your buck" concept here. It was fantastic to see that, as a corporate entity, they have maintained great pricing on their food. And they also serve substantial portions, as I left full. I ordered for pick up at Strang Line location and not only did they not give me extra Caesars dressing which I ordered they did not give enough dressing for the lettuce. It was so good when I had it in the restaurant and now it so not anywhere enough dressing for the salad. Very disappointed. Do better! Got there as they opened and got seated right away, wife n I both ordered steak medium well, waited quite awhile but no biggie the rolls were awesome as usual, steaks came out rare, staff were great apologetic agreed steaks were way undercooked, came back out not much different but half of wife's was good enough so she kept it mine was still pretty rare, mine went back again when it came back I could tell nothing had been done to it the steak was barely warm still very pink everywhere, so 3 strikes I'm out. Staff again handled it well took my steak off the bill I returned it and we asked for a to go box for wife's undercooked other half of steak, came with a ball of hair in it, again staff apologized replaced it, we paid and left not really mad just really disappointed read more

A great steak is one that after the first bite you want more, it really doesn't matter where you get it just as long as you're happy about it. Yes i like the steaks at Texas roadhouse, they are flavorful, i really like everything i have eaten here as well, is it the ritz of course not but just a nice place to have some good food. I'm sure they have all the secret spices perfected to the masses, which works well. Ok maybe i went a bit over the top on that but i have been at this chain in many locations, and always enjoyed the food, I will say that I have had better and paid a lot more for them so for a avg Joe who just wants to have good steak or chicken parmasian, or potatoes give them a tryout. Just for the record I do like my steaks a bit thicker than some of these are so I think it's a balancing act of price vs quantity. read more

I be been here a few times when I'm in town; conveniently located by the hotel. Pros: all my visits have been positive for the most part, there servers are great and fresh! Usually the meals I have there are great! Very little to complain about here! Con: the only con I have is one of the times I ordered the chicken; it was rubbery and chewy, I suspect it was cooked frozen. I don't recall if w had the chicken before this but I'm sure I have. This experience just stood out to me, but normally they're great. This experience won't stop me from coming back; however, I will deliberately order the chick next time to compare and if it's crap again I will update this review and let you know, but again this is one out of ~6 visits so I'll let you know if I have a repeat experience!! read more
