I came back to my hometown to spend time with my family over the holidays. I asked my niece what her favorite restaurant is, and she said the Texas Roadhouse. Which tickled me. I have many good childhood memories at this Texas Roadhouse. So we showed up, and it was packed like it was every night, but after a short wait, we were seated and enjoying their honey butter slathered all over those warm, soft rolls. The ambiance was classic Roadhouse. Very Texas. I will say, it's a major bummer that their peanuts are all in bags now. I miss the big free-for-all bucket. And the service was A+, as it always was. Very nice country folk pushing their delicious sweet tea on you. No issues. I got the Full Slab Ribs (Slow cooked with a unique blend of seasonings and our signature BBQ sauce. Served with choice of two sides). I got the Sweet Potato and the Steak Fries (Loaded) as my sides. These were actually unbelievably good. They weren't exactly fall off the bone, but they were tender enough, and didn't have too much fat or cartilage. Very happy with these ribs. I also got to try the Dallas Filet (Our most tender steak that is lean and melts in your mouth. Served with choice of two sides). With sides of mac & cheese and a Caesar Salad. It was also pretty good! Very tender, it cut well, and it was seasoned pretty ok. Add some pepper onto this mac, and you have a really good meal here. Overall, this place was precisely as I remember it. It's a pillar of the community around here, and it made me very nostalgic. I'll come back, probably plenty more time before the end of all things.

Pros: Very fun atmosphere. Loved the eclectic stuff all over the walls. Loved the peanuts. Service was great, very heavy on the Southern charm. Food was good! These guys know how to treat a rack of ribs. They also cooked my filet perfectly. I don't always expect perfection out of chains, but they nailed it. Cons: Hmmm... I got nothing. Tips: Get the ribs, get a steak, everything is good.

Texas Roadhouse is usually consistently very good with great food portions, but we ordered food to go yesterday and I was highly disappointed The fries are probably the cheapest item they have and they were stingy with it! Kids didn't even get full off their meals. Even the order of ribs came with only about 5 fries. It was pretty pitiful.

My wife ordered the salmon with baked potato and a Caeser salad based on our server's recommendation. I ordered the 8 oz. sirloin rare with a sweet potato and broccoli. Both meals were delicious and the service couldn't have been better. Rylee was our server and she did a fabulous job. The restaurant was busy but not overly loud. I mentioned to Rylee and one of the floor managers how well Rylee did and the cooks did a great job on our meals. We will be back!

No wait for seating. The place could've been cleaner. We were seated in a corner and the tables surrounding us were all empty, but still dirty with food and napkins all over the floor. That was kind of gross to look at while trying to enjoy our own meal, but what can ya do? The rolls were fantastic, but we weren't a fan of the honey cinnamon butter. She brought us a small cup of the regular butter when we asked. Service was pretty good. Food was just okay. Not sure I'd go back.

I did online order-5:07 received text it's ready! 2 people came out asked what I was waiting on- hmmmm I ordered, received text ,texted back car space to deliver order yet you don't know what I'm waiting on. 5:32 I call and ask if I'm ever going to get my food about 5 minutes later I get my food and it's cold- I mentioned this to young man and he says no it was just cooked. I take food home most went in trash included the rolls that were not baked and 1/2 of someone else's order.

You can cut the filet with a fork! Bella is a wonderful server and this place is as perfect as ever.

Steak was done to perfection, green beans and sauteed mushrooms were tasty, and the beer was cold. Couldn't ask for anything better.

The place is really quaint with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu includes a great variety of different items. The soup of the day was a green chili chicken stew that sounded too good to pass on, so I ordered that along with a side of Gouda grits and a side of sautéed green beans. The grits were delicious! The green beans were very good; and the soup was good. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato criss-cut fries. The fries were bomb! The sandwich was okay, she was trying to figure out what was missing. On the way home she realized it was missing cheese. A cheesesteak without cheese?!?! Service was very good. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. This bistro is not cheap by any stretch, but it is good and I'm sure we'll return.

This…read morewas the fancy place in town to go to if you had a hot date, or for before you go to prom. I never made it out, though, until I moved away, got a job, and then came back to visit recently. I went out to explore downtown Milton some, checked out Blackwater State Park, and got hungry and decided to finally come check this place out for lunch. So we drove up, got a table, and started browsing the pamphlet they gave us of the history of the building. It was a quaint little read. The restaurant is in an old house that had many different lives over the course of its existence. It was wooden, comfortable, had a nice bar built into it. Very cozy and rustically upscale. The service was also very good. A nice lady that tended to all of our drink needs. Very pleasant. And the food came out in a timely fashion. As for the food, we started with the The Sampler (A mixture of our house favorites: Artichoke cheesecake, Baguette, Loaded Brussel Sprouts with Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp with Mango Chutney). This was nice. I love a good savory cheesecake, you don't see that very often. It was very interesting loading the sprouts with shrimp, but I've never said no to a shrimp. And the coconut shrimp were pretty standard. It was a good plate, but not mind-blowing, if you wanna try a different app. My main was the Creole Crawfish & Andouille Pot Pie (Louisiana Crawfish, Savory Vegetables, Andouille, Cajun Cheese Cream, Puff Pastry). This is a loose-leaf pot pie. So basically a gumbo with a puffy piece of puff pastry on top. So it's a lot of fun, but don't expect a lot of crust with each bite. Super creamy, super Cajun in the seasoning, no regrets getting this. I also got to try the The Blue Salad (Filet of Beef. Signature Assorted Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Cucumber, Bleu Cheese, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Candied Pecans, Bleu Cheese Dressing). This was a good salad! Nice and tender strips of filet, funky bleu cheese, sweet and crunchy pecans. I love a nice interesting salad like this. Nothing boring involved. And a ton of that delicious dressing. Overall, the Bistro was well worth the wait. Good vibes, good food. I'd come back.

Andy D's was the venue for the performance and provided the food that was included with the ticket. The service was fantastic. Friendly staff working hard with the timing of the play. The food was ok. We had a set menu to choose from. The bang bang shrimp and buffalo chicken dip with spicy crackers were really good. The grouper nuggets were ok, a bit chewy. The chicken Alfredo was also ok. The sauce wasn't very flavorful and the chicken a bit chewy as well. The garlic knots had a strange after taste. The pulled pork sandwich didn't have any bbq sauce on it. The onion rings were excellent. Dessert was a chocolate cake cup that was yummy! I have to say I have never had a worse margarita in my life. It was loaded with tequila, which is awesome, but it had sour mix and some strange lime syrup in it. It almost tasted like something you'd put on a snow cone. It was terrible. Also, the acoustics in this place are horrible. Sound carries so bad, it is very difficult to hear anyone even right next to you. I would say this is much more of a party spot than a good place to take the family out to eat. I would come back for that type of vibe and not order a margarita :)

Today, however, I decided to try something new based on a recommendation from my family member. I ordered the Philly Wrap accompanied by sweet potato fries. The dish did not disappoint; it was rich with flavors and thoroughly satisfying. I would certainly order it again. Our dining experience was good. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Additionally, the restaurant was not overly crowded, allowing for easy conversation without the usual clamor of a busy dining room. But there was one significant drawback to our experience: the metal seating. Each time someone pulled out or adjusted a chair, it produced a loud, screeching noise that was incredibly distracting and disruptive to our conversation. This issue detracts significantly from the overall dining experience, and I would strongly suggest that the management consider replacing these chairs. In summary, while the food and service were commendable, the issue with the chairs significantly impacted the ambiance. Therefore, I would rate this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars.
