I am a big fan of their shrimp skewer; you wouldn't expect it at a bbq place, but I really like it! The sides are equally awesome; especially the bbq beans and the green beans! Service is above and beyond. The speed at which these folks work is impressive, to say the least. The wait staff is always on top of their game. Keeping drinks filled and making sure everyone is happy. When it comes to the vibe Smokey's rocks, I can't say enough. Totally retro! Whenever I walk into the place I feel like I've time travelled to 1976, a great year I must say. This place has the perfect trifecta! Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll be back!

One interesting thing is that you can get the brisket lean or "moist" which has fat on it which is great if you want extra flavor. The place is very military and first responder friendly and the decor show this with pictures of service members and others in uniform in action and it official portraits. Came on a Friday evening --- it was as you'd expect it: crowded and busy. However, the wait wasn't…read moreas unpleasant as I thought it would be, and we were seated unusually quick, thank the Lord. My party ordered everything from the very beginning --- we didn't want to take a chance that our food may "take too long", seeing how busy the restaurant was. I had forgotten the name of our waiter, but he was very kind and pleasant during our duration there. We ordered the Cactus Blossom for our appetizer, and it was even more delicious than usual. It was oily at all, perfectly fried, with a nice crisp all around. My only complaint is that they need to give us more of that horseradish dipping sauce! It's never enough with them giving you a whole fried onion. On to my main: I ordered the Country Fried Sirloin ($18.99) which included two sides: I got the Caesar Salad and the Loaded Baked Potato. This was my first attempt veering off from ordering a steak, and I was pleasantly surprised. First, the salad was dressed WELL, and topped it off with black pepper was pure nostalgia. On to the country fried sirloin: the dish came out piping hot, and the crust and crunch on it was impeccable. The only complaint? More crust than sirloin, lol! There were pockets of "air" in my meal and I was left wondering, "where's the meat"? In any case, when I did have meat --- the combo with the fry and the white gravy was an elite-tier combo. The Loaded Potato never disappoints, either. All-in-all, while I have some "observations" --- Texas Roadhouse, wherever they may be located, have never let me down! 5/5!

When walking in you have to order at the front counter and pay in advance. There was a drink special 2 for $10 for a slushy alcohol drink. There was 4 different flavors to pick from. I had strawberry and it wasn't bad. We ordered some wings , they weren't bad but small compared to some places we have been to.The sauce was ok. They give a ounce or 2 of blue cheese with the wings Got the combo which came with fries and a drink. My Mom decided to try the Philly. It came with some fries and a drink too. She said it was ok. It didn't have much flavor. It was quiet when we went in. Pretty big dining area. TV was on . There are No waitresses. So when the food is ready they call out your name. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated with plenty of lemon pepper seasoning without being too salty. The ranch on the side tied everything together perfectly. The collard greens were a nice surprise too. Full of flavor, tender, and tasted like they'd been cooked low and slow the right way. The spot has a casual laid back feel, and the food came out hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and service moved quickly. Definitely a solid wing spot and somewhere I'd come back to when I want comfort food that actually hits the spot.
