I honestly wasn't even sure if I'd been to a Texas Roadhouse before. Maybe it was Texas Roadhouse, maybe Saltgrass, maybe something else. Either way, I had definitely never been to the Texas Roadhouse on the West Side near my house. It always looks chaotic. Long lines, packed parking lot, people waiting outside. During COVID we did the family meal deal a couple of times because it was a great value, but that was curbside only. I'd never actually sat down inside. My kids have been doing well in school and a friend mentioned their prime rib. I'm a prime rib person, so that was enough to convince me. I signed up for their VIP program and noticed you can put yourself on the waitlist ahead of time. Highly recommend doing that. We arrived about five minutes before our check-in time, checked in easily, and were inside almost immediately. We waited maybe ten minutes to be seated while people outside were clearly waiting much longer in the cold. Inside, it's exactly what you'd expect. A themed, commercialized roadhouse look. Chain steakhouse vibes, loud but energetic. We were seated in one of the smaller side rooms, which I appreciated because it wasn't nearly as noisy. Service was fast and friendly. Drinks came out quickly, though $8 for a beer felt steep. My kids ordered the Ranger meals, which are basically tween-sized steaks. My husband calls them minute steaks because they disappear fast. I ordered the smallest prime rib, which was still a generous portion, and my husband went with the sirloin. Everything came with two sides. We did mashed potatoes, mac and cheese as an upcharge, and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was actually really good. Crisp, well dressed, and probably the best thing before the main course. The rolls were fresh and buttery. My kids didn't care for the cinnamon butter, but my husband absolutely loved it. We asked about the peanuts but weren't sure if they were complimentary, and it felt unclear, so we skipped them. Our server was kind and attentive but didn't seem very familiar with the menu. When we asked what the little star icons meant, she said they indicated the most popular items, which wasn't accurate once we read more closely. She also couldn't really speak to the beers. She may have been new. The bus staff handled most of our refills, which I actually appreciated. It felt like a team effort, but with a menu that thick, a more experienced server would have helped. As for the food, it was fine. Not top-tier steakhouse quality. There was some gristle, but the meat was cooked to the doneness we asked for across the board, including the kids' steaks. I genuinely enjoyed my prime rib. The sides were solid. All in, it came out to about $100 for a family of four. I can see why people go. It's predictable, fast, reasonably priced for steak, and works well for large groups or out-of-town guests who want the "Texas" experience. That said, I couldn't help noticing how many local restaurants struggle while chains like this stay packed. There are local spots with just as good quality, even if they can't compete on volume or price. If we don't want the city to turn into nothing but national chains sending profits out of state, we really do need to support local restaurants when we can. I'll be on the hunt for more local prime rib options. And yes, I've had Ripe Eatery. It's very good, but it's also limited to Mondays and sells out fast, which makes it tough to plan around. Overall, Texas Roadhouse delivered exactly what it promises. Nothing more, nothing less.

My fiance and I are visiting from California. Even tho we have a couple Texas roadhouses in California we thought it would be awesome to try it for the first time here in Texas -- the customer service itself made the stop well worth it! We ordered for pick up and Chantal made sure we left happy, offered us a drink while we wait for our food and made sure we had more than enough bread and butter! She even wrote a nice note on our box! 10/10 would recommend

We went there for New Years eve and the wait was scheduled for 55 to 65 minutes. Fine, I understand how busy they were. An hour and 45 minutes later, still not seated I asked the hostess about the reason, she was condescending and rude! Not sure why but I did notice she was much kinder to Hispanics than me!! I finally got a manager and explained and got seated at the bar cramped in a space for one not two!! The bartender was very nice but the food came out cold! I sent it back and they brought it back just as cold!! This was also my birthday dinner as my bday is the 2nd!! Very very disappointed in Texas Roadhouse at the corner of I10 and Mesa!!! Wish we had made a reservation at Salt Grass instead!!

Chicken was raw and uncooked it Made my girlfriend really sick and she kept vommiting all night and this morning she is still sick and I'm going to have to end up taking her to Urgent care..

The place was packed, but a table was available - so we were seated in minutes. Service and the food were great. I had smothered chicken, and this meal was great. It was simple but prepared very well. The atmosphere was great tonight, and the waiter did a fantastic job.

Needed a protein pick me upper. This is the spot! I had the 6oz with the rib a side of butter corn that hit the spot and a Cesar salad that was actually fresh. Not many croutons but it was a great combination. Whole meal was delicious . Anyone looking for a good sit down. This is it! enjoy!

The food was great, the server was awesome and the ambiance was on point! We've been coming here for years however, as of late not so much so decided to go in and have a quick bite! The bread and cinnamon butter was delicious and I had the grilled Salmon with a side salad and a sweet potato. The hubs had the steak and chicken combo with a salad and mashed potatoes! All in all, it was very tasty and the server was great! They have a special discounted early dinner menu too! We'll be back!!! Enjoy

Awesome restaurant! We were a party of five on a Friday around 6:30 pm. It was a wait of about 10 minutes, not bad at all. Hostess was very nice. Our waitress Christy was very kind and funny. We felt so very welcomed here. The atmosphere was pretty cool, not too loud, not too quite, football games were on. Various TVs around the restaurant. The food did not take too long either. Most of us had some type of steak. They were all delicious, full of flavor, cooked to perfection. I also tried their Margaritas with an extra tequila shot! Amazing drinks. We had an excellent experience at this location. We did not want to go back to California without having experience Texas Roadhouse!

Absolute trash, and they like to gaslight their customers. Save your money and eat at a better steakhouse. First off we were seated quickly enough and ordered. The problem came when the food arrived, my steak must have been smashed into the grill with a hydraulic press, because when it got to the table it resembled a hamburger. I also ordered green beans as a side which I found a hair in. The server took it to the manager came back and basically called me a liar by saying "We looked at it under the light and it was not a hair." Like c'mon man, I know what a piece of hair looks like vs. a piece of the green beans skin. So EF this place and the manager. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was also lazily done, none of the pork was properly shredded, they just threw huge chunks of the pork butt onto the sandwich. If I could give a zero I would. read more

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was extremely short and bordered on unpleasant, which set a poor tone right away. Our server seemed disengaged and inattentive either impaired or simply uninterested in serving us which made the experience uncomfortable. My steak was cooked well done despite being ordered medium rare, and my salad was missing key ingredients. After sending food back, no one checked on us. The manager appeared to be stretched thin, working both front and back of house, but never came over to follow up or address the issues. To make matters worse, our server disappeared entirely and never dropped a check or explained that payment was expected through the tablet at the table. We intended to pay cash, but due to the complete lack of communication and customer service, that wasn't even possible. Overall, the food mistakes and poor service made this visit frustrating and unwelcoming. I wouldn't recommend dining here unless major improvements are made in staff attentiveness and basic hospitality. read more

After a quick event at school, we joined some friends for one of their family traditions. On Tuesday night we didn't have to wait too long to get a table. When the boys and I arrived, the hostesses were very friendly and let us go look to where our table was. We sat down and Kayla checked on us for drinks. Kayla was a fantastic server. When the rest of our party arrived, she took our order and made sure to keep the rolls were fresh and hot. I ordered a 12oz Ribeye, medium rare, with a loaded baked potato and a cup of chili. It came out quickly. I took a couple of bites of the chili and then dumped the rest into my potato. It was all very good. The place is loud, with a mix of music, the occasional cheers of the wait staff. It's a fun time. They have plenty of beer available, and the margaritas are pretty large. This is a great representation of the brand. read more

Was in town for business and we stopped in for dinner. First off this place is busy!! It was a little after 5:30 on a Wednesday evening and the place was near to putting people on the wait list. Our server did a great job, they kept our drinks full, checked in occasionally to see if we needed anything and had our food out to us pretty quickly. I had a single grilled pork chop with a loaded baked potato and corn. The chop was okay, not bad but not great and my baked potato was pretty salty but well cooked and was obviously fairly freshly baked and hadn't been sitting in a hot cupboard for hours. Like I mentioned earlier they were really busy and it was certainly not quiet. The noise level is pretty load and there are people moving around the whole time. I would say if you want a fairly good meal served quickly and don't mind a lot going on around you while you eat you will like TRH. read more

Great food and great service let down by a couple things which amounted mostly to a couple misfires on the menu and mistakes in bringing what was asked for. The steak fries are not crisp at all they could improve things just by asking if you want them crisp, instead they were soggy. The baked potatoes are too small and one person didn't get what they ordered but they're nice about bringing what they wanted. Other sides: I can't say I recommend the mashed potatoes either but the salads are a good size. There was a crazy loud large party chanting and singing happy birthday I guess you are going to be subject to unplanned things such as this, still it turned what could have been a festive atmosphere into a bizarre occasionally disruptive one. read more

I have been in town for 6 days now. Been to this Texas Roadhouse every single night as it's near my hotel, and their food is typically good. The service has been great. 1st through 5th night food was all fine...now 6th night Saturday 7/12/25. Made a huge mistake, and had the worst, or certainly one of the worst meals ever. I WOULD NOT order the shrimp. The kitchen should know if the shrimp is mushy, and smells fishy it's not worth serving. Instead they sent it out. I could barely eat the first one, tried a 2nd...same. Ate the rice paid up and left. Just a suggestion....Take it off the menu!! read more

Thanks to Texas Roadhouse for supporting our military. We received a coupon for a free Veteran's Day meal, saved the coupon and decided to take it on the road with us as we traveled to Austin TX and back before the coupon expired. We found a TR along the road in El Paso just along the 10 freeway. Literally, exit the freeway and drive into the parking lot from the freeway exit, then enter the freeway just as simple as the exit. Couldn't have been more convenient. The place was super busy on this lunchtime Saturday just afternoon. We met our server, Dallas, and told him he was the second "Dallas" we had met in Texas in just three days of traveling through the state. He also thought that was pretty amazing, however "Dallas" seemed to be a popular name in Texas . . . go figure. The other Dallas was a female bartender when I first started the trip and stayed in El Paso heading the other direction. Hell, what are the chances of two service employees with the same name "Dallas" in El Paso? As for the food and service. Food was decent except the chili had to be returned to the kitchen and heated up in the microwave. It was served just above room temperature. It was much better when heated up to proper serving temperature. I was confused at the service since there were employees everywhere, and many of those employees would congregate next to the servers' station to talk, chat and who knows what, but passing the day away. There's always cleaning to do. Seemed like way too many employees. Oh well, a nice lunch and very worth the military appreciation. Thanks Dicks The free military menu item I chose was the 6oz sirloin steak that came with two sides and a drink. The steak was actually cooked a perfect medium rare and was tender. It came with a loaded (marshmallow and cinnamon) sweet potato that we have never tried before . . . different, but good. I also chose the chili and a sweet tea, something I have only attempted twice since being here in Texas. Too sweet for quenching the thirst. I stayed with the water this time. read more

As we were entering the hostess took us to a dirty table. As we refused to sit on that table we were ask to go back to the line just take us back to another table. The table had a napkin and a knife on the floor that no one noticed even after we left. When I got my food the first time, there was a hair in it. They were very quick to bring me another plate but my steak was undercooked because they tried to replace my order so quickly, so I had to send it back. I waited 40 minutes for an online order and for it I received two chicken fried steak meals that were burnt crisp. And what's the one item we all go to this restaurant for.....the yeast rolls. Well I got plenty of butter but zero rolls. I called and spoke with the manager (W***y) who offered to reimburse me OR replace it and throw in a dozen rolls plus an appetizer. First time trying Texas Roadhouse! Loooooved it! Food was excellent, especially the free bread . We ordered bone-in rib eye, 8 oz steak + shrimp, and appetizer of beans & chillis and ribs + fries. Forget it if you're more than 6 people in a group to be in a waitlist. They'll lie to you that to wait for 45 minutes but it's actually 2hrs n half wait. We waited in the parking lot for our call and other customers just came n' go while we waited waited waited then waited some more...while I'm writing this negative rating inside my car when it's freezing cold outside. They serve it with cinnamon butter and melts so good. ( you can ask for regular butter but boo who wants that!?) My wife ordered the 5oz salmon well done and it was perfect with a side of tasty rice. We ordered the combo appetizer with taters, fried pickles and mild chickens was not impressed. I would not order it again. I think the tater skins would be better if it was twice baked. The cheese is waaayyy too much and by it gets to your table it's cold and not melty. My birthday dinner. We only went there because it was Sunday and my first choice was closed. We were actually heading to a different place but second voice was too crowded with long wait. Heading to choice#3 we spotted this and decided we were too hungry to keep searching. That turned out to be one of our best decisions. There was a short wait due to Covid seating limitations but it was not intolerable. One inside and seated, it was amazing. Service was impeccable. You can select your own cut of meat from the display case or just take chefs choice. I had a porterhouse that melted in my mouth. It was large enough to take half home for a steak and eggs breakfast and yet still feel very satisfied. I do miss the buckets of unshelled peanuts but Covid has forced them to put those on hiatus. I made a reservation and our family of 5 had an incredible dinner. The service was exceptional - he was so attentive and wanted to make sure everything was just right. The food was some of the best we've eaten. The menu was diverse, and everything sounded so interesting. We had the pulled pork bao tacos for an appetizer, which were perfection - I could have just eaten them all night. My daughter ordered the green chili alfredo, which was as delicious as it was interesting. I ordered the pesto divorciados, and it had such complex flavors that paired together perfectly. My wife ordered the baked penne, and it was also just as delicious. We all agreed that all three entrees were just next level. My two youngest kids got kids' meals, which were homemade, delicious, and very kid-friendly. The atmosphere was fun, festive, and perfect for a date night or a fun night out with friends. We will absolutely eat there again before we leave town. Run don't walk to this restaurant.

Urgent Concern Regarding Unacceptable Experience at Texas Roadhouse, Joe Battle, El Paso Today, I visited the Texas Roadhouse at Joe Battle in El Paso with a party of seven. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While I understand that delays can occur, the excessive wait time for our food was just the beginning of a very unpleasant dining experience. The real issue arose when I discovered a piece of wax wrapping paper inside my burger. After a few bites, I felt something hard while chewing. When I opened the burger, I was horrified to find this inedible item. I immediately informed the waiter, who swiftly took my plate away before I could react or fully process what had just happened. Without consulting me, the restaurant decided to prepare another burger, but I was too disgusted to even consider eating it. I returned the replacement as I felt increasingly nauseated. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of communication or concern from the staff. At no point did anyone address the issue or inquire about my well-being. Before leaving, I requested to speak with a manager. I explained the situation, emphasizing that my issue had been ignored and that nobody had asked me if I wanted my order remade. The manager claimed that she was under the impression I wanted another burger, which was never the case. It was only after I voiced my concerns that she offered a lukewarm apology, referring to the incident as merely an "inconvenience." This downplayed the severity of the situation, and I found it deeply unsatisfactory that it took this long to receive any form of apology. I then asked if there was a way to formally file a complaint, and the manager mentioned that it could only be done online. She did offer to speak with higher management and returned with a $15 voucher for a future visit. I declined this offer, as it does not begin to address the seriousness of the issue. A mere $15 does not compensate for the distress and disgust I experienced, nor does it assure me that such an incident won't happen again. As a side note, another member of our party was charged for items they neither ordered nor consumed, which further adds to the overall dissatisfaction with this visit. This experience has marred the beginning of my weekend, and I sincerely hope that future patrons have a better experience than I did. However, I must express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the quality control and customer service at this location. Been coming here for years, and I always get the best service and amazing food without fail. Lorraine is such a good server and I come as a regular, so I would suggest requesting her for a flawless time at roadhouse. This roadhouse, in my opinion, tastes better than the other locations in El Paso and even Las Cruces, so if you're traveling and wondering which location to select, I would highly advise to come to this west El Paso location. read more

Excellent service, economically satisfying. Large portions for the price. The server kept my Diet Coke filled without me once having to ask. Place was packed but speed of service was impressive. Chicken fried steak was tasty and freshly made. read more
