Filet Mignon, baked sweet potato, and steamed vegetables.
    Jan L.

My dinner at Texas Roadhouse was superb. I had the Filet Mignon with a plain sweet potato and steamed vegetables. I was offered the bread rolls which I turned down and also peanuts which I turned down. My meal was very filling even though the picture shows more could have fit onto the plate. I like my steaks cooked medium rare and a good steak house knows this means a warm red center. Texas Roadhouse got it right! I send a steak back if it's not cooked correctly. I am very particular. I have no complaint about the amazing steak I ate. when I visited. It was tasty. The vegetables were crunchy but cooked. The sweet potato was soft, sweet, and delicious. It didn't need butter, sour cream, or any other thing added except a little bit of salt. For those diners who want more food...they serve plenty. So I hope my photo doesn't turn someone off because it looks slim. As for the service - I was treated well. My food came quickly, my server kept my water filled, and she helped me with the payment when my meal was finished.

I normally get the family meals from Texas Roadhouse because they're pretty good and cost effective. But I was disappointed that at this location they were sold out of all but two and I didn't care for either one of those. So, we all ended up ordering our own meal but I think that worked out for the best. I personally have the beef tips with mashed potatoes and gravy and french fries and everything was good. I asked for the meat well done and most of it was... There were a few pink pieces that I fed to my dog. I also had the fried pickles appetizer and they forgot the horseradish but someone shared their ranch with me instead. Everybody seemed to enjoy their meal and even though this is a chain, I feel like the prices here were slightly better than other ones I have been to.

This was my first time at a Texas Roadhouse and I enjoyed it. The warm, freshly baked bread was absolutely delicious, and the Caesar salad was crisp and well-balanced. I ordered a half rack of ribs, which were tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. Everything we tried was really good, especially considering the reasonable prices, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, it was a nice choice for an enjoyable family dinner out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] .

We hit up the Texas Roadhouse in Ammon, Idaho on Black Friday, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]even though the place was totally packed, the whole experience was awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our huge group didn't slow down the staff one bit; the service was friendly and super efficient, which really made the evening stress-free. I ordered the petite filet, and honestly, it was cooked perfectly--tender and spot on--plus the baked potato was warm and delicious. This spot proves that even when they're slammed, they can still deliver great food and top-notch service for a fun, casual lunch out.

Went to Texas Roadhouse in Idaho Falls last night. I asked for a salad (appetizer) and a smokehouse burger with cheddar cheese and requested it be cooked "medium". The server replied OK so medium will be a "warm pink center" I reply "medium means cook to 135° if the burger arrives to the table well done I'm going to send it back." Her reply was that "our cooks do not use meat thermometers" to prepare food. We waited 32 minutes. My salad AND my burger arrive simultaneously. Plate is served to me. Server walks away. I cut the burger in 1/2 and look to see a completely well done burger (literally charred) . The server came back to the table 1 minute later and I showed her the meal. I said this is well done. I asked for medium. She says Yep it sure is looks well done what do you want me to do? Would you like another one? I said I would like another one and I'd like it to be cooked medium or 135°.... She said well I'll just leave that one with you at the table so you can snack on it if you want while I go request them to make another one. I didn't snack on it. I just ate my salad. 27 minutes later burger number two arrives being delivered by what I assume to be a manager, followed by the server. He put the burger down in front of me and I say "please, don't go anywhere. I'd like to cut into this before you leave." Upon cutting into it, it is apparent that the burger is now raw on the inside. It's not rare. It's literally RAW...see picture below. I've now been at this restaurant for more than an hour (90 minutes) and have been served two pieces of meat that are completely unacceptable, and the raw one possibly illegal to serve. Also, my companion has finished her meal more than 35 minutes ago. I think it really says something about the service industry and restaurants when a steakhouse is unable to prepare a medium hamburger given more than an hour and two tries, and then they readily admit that they do not use meat thermometer to prepare their food. I will never be going to another Texas Roadhouse. It also took 3 attempts for them to remove the meal I DID NOT EAT from the bill. Attempt 2 was actually MORE money than the first bill was. I call the server over - I say "please explain how after you took a meal OFF my bill, the bill is now MORE than the original bill." She says "are you sure?" Look sweetheart, I'm a CPA, I think I can discern when a number is larger than another number. THIS is why I stay home and prepare all my own food. Being served over, under cooked beef that is overly salted at a "steakhouse" is complete nonsense. And they ADMIT they don't use temperature probes. Yeah, maybe don't tell that to customers and then serve them inedible food.

Mac & Cheese? More like wack and cheese tf is this. my microwaved Mac and cheese taste and looks better than this. Waitress was cool tho.

Need new cooks. Sent steak back twice asked for a medium, came back raw twice. Customer service was good but seen better food.

I did make the mistake of calling and asking for good seating since we had never been there before. They then sat us by the bathroom and our poor server was waiting on the outside tables and us by the bathroom. My bad..but still good service and the food....mmm. We ordered the garlic sautéed shrimp and baked Brie. Put those two things on the little toasties and AMAZING! You wouldn't think but it was so good. You get a homemade roll and a great salad with your dinner. I had a pan seared ribeye and the hubs ordered butternut squash. We shared both. It's the perfect blend ribeye with the squash. Must try! Both are also great separately. Very reasonably priced!

The food was good, but it was not worth the experience. If we knew it would take so long we would have gone somewhere else. The outside seating is comprised of patio tables and chairs lining the exterior of the restaurant. It was nice at first, but there's a bee that likes to fly around which even the server was familiar with. We did outdoor seating and getting there at sunset we were sitting there in the dark with barely any light by the time our food arrived (almost two hours to get all our food for a party of four - 4 entrees and 2 appetizers total). The service was friendly but it was awkward seeing some people getting served even when they were seated after us. I loved the chicken wellington and would say that is the most unique dish at their restaurant. The food is overall good quality but this restaurant is probably better catered for pairs who are looking to celebrate a special event together. Indoor seating preferred over Outdoor seating.

They only serve breakfast and brunch, which I love because they specialize. The restaurant is older, but you could tell that they tried to keep it looking nice and the decor adds to the ambiance. Original: My review for this place is not current. I had a…read morepretty bad experience here a few years back so we will never go again. WHAT HAPPENED: When they're busy, they don't have enough servers on. This was something we had already been warned about, and got to witness first hand. Also, without informing us, they charge for soda refills! Seems the server was padding the check, thanks to two teenagers with us, and they drink soda. I had a couple of beers that I expected to be charged for, but my other half's coffee refills?, mann come-on. The place is overly priced to begin with, the food was not fantastic. They were riding on their legacy name. Surviving by tourist seasons of the unsuspecting. I gave it two stars because the food wasn't bad. I can say that the experience was not worth the bill. I did see the prices before we ordered and did not hesitate. However, those prices raised my expectations. To top it all, the atmosphere is dark and cramped. Never again! It might seem petty to not give a second chance if you think that only the bill is the reason. The lack of transparency, price to quality, and shoddy service combined. I think there are equally if not better restaurants in Idaho Falls. It's not worth the price here. UPDATE: with a vengeance! Mitch and Justin at The SnakeBite showed me just how much things can change under new management/ownership. My first review stated that it was a couple of years ago, lol Mitch helped me sort out the timeline, and it was actually close to 6 years ago. Guess I'm a little out of the loop, because I was informed that 100Proof Hospitality bought the restaurant about 4 years ago, long after I had sworn the place off forever. I know some might not appreciate an old experience popping up like brand new in a review. I get that in hindsight, but these new owners didn't flinch, and they are savvy--I tell you that. They turned someone (me) who would've never returned, into their regular customer. To start, the two teens have grown, it was only the two of us, which didn't matter because they no longer charge for refills under the new ownership. We were hosted by..well, a young man who was a little less than personable. He wasn't bad, typical in fact, but after experiencing the management and our server--the rest of the team outshines him a bit. It was late lunch, so they were still busy, but had enough open seating for the two of us. Laney--our server, is the coolest lady to ever walk the planet. She was hustling, laughing, smiling and talking with everybody. Just magnificent ambiance. She handled my undecidedness in style, answering every single one of my questions with complete honesty. "So if I put pepperjack on this, will it ruin the flavor of the cheese sauce." Direct eye contact, slowly nodding with a cringing look, "yeahhh probably." Great pallet to boot cuz she was so right. The Blue SnakeBite Burger--mann that sauce!, is what "zesty blue" is all about! I also got a Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. I hope I remember this exactly, but it's basically a spinach and artichoke dippy sauce stuffed inside of two very large portobello crowns, a fantastic drizzle and roasted red peppers on top! I would eat those every meal for the rest of my life! My other half got the Haddock with Waffle Fries, added Coconut Shrimp and Salad. She was too busy eating to tell me what she thought lol--loved it all. We sat, had met the dazzling Laney( who can bring people back all herself) ordered, and--get this--I ordered through Laney, a beer from the bar. The bar shortly later poured the wrong beer (think person ordered wrong), which was the same draft that I ordered. So over to our table comes the smiling and booming bartender with the beer out stretched to me, "You want a free beer"--well, yeah. The kicker: Nobody knew yet, including management, we were the "2nd look" couple. SnakeBite and 100Proof Hospitality, unknowingly pulled off a mic drop. Prices slightly higher than chains, and worth every cent! We will be back. So should you!

If I was fishing all day on the Snake River, this place would absolutely HIT! (....do I fish? No…read more But I imagine if I did, SnakeBite would be peak post fishing day food!) if you're a fried pickle fan, you have to order these! I'm pretty sure they lightly sprinkled some ranch seasoning on them and now I'm refusing to eat them any other way! The other highlight was the skillet cookie, which we downed like a pack of hungry wolves! Warm, gooey and yet crispy with creamy vanilla ice cream! chefs kiss
