We had great steaks that were cooked exactly like we specified (well done.). It was tender, no pink, and not burnt either-so well done chef! Wished the menu was clearer because after we'd ordered and sat at our table, there was a thing on the table talking about country fried steak. That's what I'd really wanted but it was nowhere on the menu where you order. (How can you know it's available if it's not on the front menu where you order?! The regular extensive salad/soup/taco bar looked great. If we'd seen it, my husband would have just gotten that.

Salad Bar is great. The Clam Chowder needs help, just a tad of bleu cheese dressing perks it right up. The beef vegetable soup is a lot better with a teaspoon of A-1 Angela is a super good server. Very nice decor. This is the best Sizzler I've been to.

I enjoyed the salad bar. They have a guide to help know what is gluten free in the restaurant but didn't cover everything at the salad bar. The steak was cooked to specification, but the onion straws as guacamole tasted a little less than fresh. The staff were professional and helpful. The food looked good.

My wife and I think this is one of our favorite places for lunch. The menu has great choices and the sides are good. Often there are specials which make it awesome! The staff is good and the manager is nice too. The salad bar has plenty to choose from while the steaks and chicken entrees are delicious.

Don't go to the salad bar in the Winter. No fresh fruit, lettuce going bad, it was just lousy.

I heard the other desserts were phenomenal and the steaks were great! - carrot soufflé: highly recommend as a side! Very creamy and tasty and sweet - Gumbo: Louisiana-inspired gumbo with chicken, sausage, & vegetables. It was fine, just had no seasonings which was very confusing for me - Boudin Balls: Our Louisiana-seasoned mixture of pork, Cajun spices, & rice. Served with mustard remoulade sauce. Same as above. Just didn't have the seasonings. A little Tony's would've gone a LONG way - Toasted S'mores Cheesecake: Graham cracker base, smooth chocolate cheesecake, and fluffy marshmallow whipped cream, finished with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumbs. Very tasty! Highly recommend this as well

Rubbing alcohol and numb tinge two drinks in a row then I cancelled the drink it was terrible. Our appetizer was the calamari fries and cheese curds which was a 50/50. The cheese curds are good but calamari fries are not anything more than a handful of frozen calamari with cocktail sauce. For dinner we ordered the steak and coconut shrimp medium cook with man n cheese and asparagus. I'm not happy much. The coconut shrimp was great but the steak was terrible. It was tough and over cooked. Seared with a hard grill mark of burned taste. The man n cheese taste like they boiled it in broccoli water... or it was next to some but idk. The asparagus was good but hung over and was touching the tray and table when placed on the table so not sure what else it was touching in the kitchen. All in all $140 later I am not happy at all. Our poor waitress was unsure if we were going to say something about another thing so she was hesitant to come back. One Dr Pepper for my whole meal. Yes we still tipped her $21 dollars and know the drinks and food wasn't her fault.

Original: My review for this place is not current. I had a…read morepretty bad experience here a few years back so we will never go again. WHAT HAPPENED: When they're busy, they don't have enough servers on. This was something we had already been warned about, and got to witness first hand. Also, without informing us, they charge for soda refills! Seems the server was padding the check, thanks to two teenagers with us, and they drink soda. I had a couple of beers that I expected to be charged for, but my other half's coffee refills?, mann come-on. The place is overly priced to begin with, the food was not fantastic. They were riding on their legacy name. Surviving by tourist seasons of the unsuspecting. I gave it two stars because the food wasn't bad. I can say that the experience was not worth the bill. I did see the prices before we ordered and did not hesitate. However, those prices raised my expectations. To top it all, the atmosphere is dark and cramped. Never again! It might seem petty to not give a second chance if you think that only the bill is the reason. The lack of transparency, price to quality, and shoddy service combined. I think there are equally if not better restaurants in Idaho Falls. It's not worth the price here. UPDATE: with a vengeance! Mitch and Justin at The SnakeBite showed me just how much things can change under new management/ownership. My first review stated that it was a couple of years ago, lol Mitch helped me sort out the timeline, and it was actually close to 6 years ago. Guess I'm a little out of the loop, because I was informed that 100Proof Hospitality bought the restaurant about 4 years ago, long after I had sworn the place off forever. I know some might not appreciate an old experience popping up like brand new in a review. I get that in hindsight, but these new owners didn't flinch, and they are savvy--I tell you that. They turned someone (me) who would've never returned, into their regular customer. To start, the two teens have grown, it was only the two of us, which didn't matter because they no longer charge for refills under the new ownership. We were hosted by..well, a young man who was a little less than personable. He wasn't bad, typical in fact, but after experiencing the management and our server--the rest of the team outshines him a bit. It was late lunch, so they were still busy, but had enough open seating for the two of us. Laney--our server, is the coolest lady to ever walk the planet. She was hustling, laughing, smiling and talking with everybody. Just magnificent ambiance. She handled my undecidedness in style, answering every single one of my questions with complete honesty. "So if I put pepperjack on this, will it ruin the flavor of the cheese sauce." Direct eye contact, slowly nodding with a cringing look, "yeahhh probably." Great pallet to boot cuz she was so right. The Blue SnakeBite Burger--mann that sauce!, is what "zesty blue" is all about! I also got a Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. I hope I remember this exactly, but it's basically a spinach and artichoke dippy sauce stuffed inside of two very large portobello crowns, a fantastic drizzle and roasted red peppers on top! I would eat those every meal for the rest of my life! My other half got the Haddock with Waffle Fries, added Coconut Shrimp and Salad. She was too busy eating to tell me what she thought lol--loved it all. We sat, had met the dazzling Laney( who can bring people back all herself) ordered, and--get this--I ordered through Laney, a beer from the bar. The bar shortly later poured the wrong beer (think person ordered wrong), which was the same draft that I ordered. So over to our table comes the smiling and booming bartender with the beer out stretched to me, "You want a free beer"--well, yeah. The kicker: Nobody knew yet, including management, we were the "2nd look" couple. SnakeBite and 100Proof Hospitality, unknowingly pulled off a mic drop. Prices slightly higher than chains, and worth every cent! We will be back. So should you!

No…read more But I imagine if I did, SnakeBite would be peak post fishing day food!) if you're a fried pickle fan, you have to order these! I'm pretty sure they lightly sprinkled some ranch seasoning on them and now I'm refusing to eat them any other way! The food was good, but it was not worth the experience. If we knew it would take so long we would have gone somewhere else. The outside seating is comprised of patio tables and chairs lining the exterior of the restaurant. It was nice at first, but there's a bee that likes to fly around which even the server was familiar with. We did outdoor seating and getting there at sunset we were sitting there in the dark with barely any light by the time our food arrived (almost two hours to get all our food for a party of four - 4 entrees and 2 appetizers total). The service was friendly but it was awkward seeing some people getting served even when they were seated after us. I loved the chicken wellington and would say that is the most unique dish at their restaurant. The food is overall good quality but this restaurant is probably better catered for pairs who are looking to celebrate a special event together. Indoor seating preferred over Outdoor seating.

It's the perfect spot for hearty, traditional Midwestern comfort food. After all, how can you visit Potato Country without enjoying at least one perfectly baked potato? A little fun (and mostly useless) fact: Potatoes are typically harvested once a year in the fall and stored in underground bunkers. The ones you usually buy in stores are often nearly a year old. And if a potato starts to sprout? It simply becomes part of the next season's crop. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a time machine. The interior is warm and cozy, with darker tones, rich red accents, wood-paneled walls, and glass partitions. There's even a mud room and a coat rack ready for those chilly Idaho winter nights. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Our server introduced herself right away and took our drink orders with a smile. I went with the Ultimate Philly--tender, well-done strips of their famous prime rib, grilled onions and peppers, all smothered in a rich cheese sauce. It came with a side of au jus for dipping and your choice of side. I couldn't resist ordering the Jaker's Baker, a massive Idaho potato loaded with all the toppings. The prime rib was flavorful and juicy, and the baked potato was hearty and satisfying--the ultimate classic meat-and-potatoes meal.
