    Ceviche no crackers
    Evee G.

Should of listen to the reviews but I wanted to try it out. Unfortunately I regret going because the beer was empty when I got my beer Rita unlike the pictures where it showed they are half bottle filled. The ceviche didn't have salting crackers either and the server was confused of it when I asked. The waiter/order person only showed up to take our orders and the bill. They all looked miserable and unhappy. Didn't feel friendly and need to focus on their customer service. More friendly, and smile because they looked like they didn't want to be there. I liked the decoration though reminded me of back home in Mexico. The prices were overpriced to what we ordered and will likely not come back unless I get crackers with my ceviche and the beer Rita looks like the picture or any other places that served it the right way.

The food was mediocre at best. The staff seemed so unhappy- no smiles or greeting just a "how many" and that's it. Biggest complaint: my wife is allergic to tomatoes and told the waitress she specifically wanted the tortilla soup and asked if it had tomatoes. The waitress said she didn't know and said she'd let her know and if it did, my wife would then get her the second choice. After a long wait, the food started showing up. The soup was last. My wifes was chock full of tomatoes. The waitress didn't do anything about it. Another waitress came out and handled it, followed up by the man I believed to be the manager or owner. He was great. We were there for a birthday dinner. The celebrant's husband told the staff when we came in that this was a birthday dinner. They forgot- unfortunately, and we reminded them. They put on the ritz for the birthday girl and did a fine job. For that we thank them. However, we won't be going back. The manager guy was very professional and great to deal with. He gets a 5 stars. The place was packed so we very well could have been the exception. It's all good.

Cafe sabor has a lot of authentic dishes to pick from. I went with my family and everyone was pleased with their order. This place always seems to be busy , so you may have to wait a little longer for a table. The servers were friendly. I saw it posted but forgot to take a pic of the sign. They have a dinner and movie package. Looked like a hood deal since they are next door to the theater.

A big curly black pubic hair with a side of Monterey Chicken.

Came with a pube. I asked for the Monterey Chicken without a black pubic hair, but I guess the server didn't hear me because they still threw one in there. Yeaaaaaah, it's a no from me dawg.

    Receipt demonstrating the "packaging fee."

Update: The owner of Cafe Savor reached out to me to relay that I was mistakenly charged the $9.00 "packaging fee" and the correct charge was supposed to be approximately 30 cents or less. The owner kindly refunded the fee and made the situation right. The owner relayed that a sign explaining the new packaging fee in more detail is posted in their restaurant. I have been a long-time customer of Cafe Sabor and have always enjoyed their food. I ordered their well-known burrito special to-go, and when I went to pay, I was unpleasantly surprised to discover that I was charged an $8.60 "packing fee." This fee was never brought to my attention when I called to order. I asked for clarification, and the waitress told me it was the fee charged for packaging up my meal, but I feel this price is inflated when you consider it is more than the actual burrito meal. I understand that prices are rising with inflation, but I still feel like this is a little much. I am very disappointed that this occurred, and had I known the outrageous fee, I would have dined in for my meal. Heed my warning, if you decide to take your burrito special to-to, be prepared to pay more than double the price.

    Carnitas and Asada Tacos
    Ryan I.

Came to try out their tacos because I had read they just won the award for the best Mexican restaurant in IF but unfortunately left feeling a little disappointed. For starters, they are really expensive when compared to other taquerias. If you come on Tuesday and buy their taco promotion it softens the financial blow somewhat, however, even then I would still consider them to be rather expensive. I ordered the asada and carnitas tacos. Both were good but considering they're 2x more expensive than other joints I was expecting the experience to be elevated as well. It wasn't. They were good but not great and definitely not worth it at the menu price point.

Fried ice cream. Perfect for 4!!!!

First, we where seated fairly fast, within 5 minutes. It looked like low staff, but the service was still fantastic. They gave us warm chips and salsa, the salsa isn't chunky which I like, but some like chunky salsa. Anyways the salsa was great. I'm at the table right now and so far so good. Update... It has been probably 10-15 minutes since we ordered, and our food just got here. I can already see the presentation is fantastic and mouth watering. Pictures don't do it justice. Done eating... The food was really good. I got the chicken pollo fundo, which is a chicken chimichanga. It was hot and delicious. We ordered dessert, fried ice cream. It was a big scoop, probably the size of a softball and perfect for 4 people, especially after the meals. It was really good, all in all really good, I will be coming back! Bonus thought. Sis had the veggie burrito and said the veggies where amazing Dad had the steak, said seasoned well and was pretty good. The chimichanga where the perfect crunchiness Water was good, usually water at some places taste like tap but this tasted good. They deserve a 4.5 star average for yelp.

The food was tasty, they have a full bar and they had signs for events and deals that looked good.

So bland. Service is good and staff was friendly. When you have lived in CA, AZ and TX you have an expectation of quality Mexican food. This restaurant is safe for those who are afraid of some spice and flavor. I ordered the combo with 2 shredded beef tacos and a shredded beef enchilada. There is no enchilada sauce. It's covered in melted cheese (Which the grease from saturated the bottom of my tacos and I could not pick up to eat. Shredded beef did not taste bad, just did not really have any "wow". Beans and rice were fine. Chips were good. Salsa was like the food. Instead of Cafe Sabor it should be Cafe Insipido.

Daniel the manager does bananas foster at the table. Absolutely delish and unique!

I always love they are willing to change entrees to fit my tastes. I wanted all white cheese on my burrito with the rice and beans on the outside, no problem. Can you caramelize the veggies on the steak fajitas, no problem. They aim to please, just ask.

You know, those ethnic cuisines whose dreamers go through all that to finally achieve a vision--only to be closed down in less than a couple of years--see it all the time. Yeah well, that ain't Morenita's. I'm sure they put in the hard work, but they've had that hole-in-the-wall vibe location for going on 36 years now. Going strong today cuz they're doin one thing right--everything! They did the time as that hidden gem, serving authentic Michoacán recipes. Keeping food comin out fast and affordable, they consistently served excellence to in-the-know locals. Those locals--their loyals, made Morenita's what it is today--the oldest Mexican eatery in town--the survivor--an Idaho Falls institution. Now, Morenita's is still doin it, with many days of lunchtime being like walking in moments after stocks open on Wall Street. But, for real, the experience is a fiesta. When you're ready to order there is no communication gap. She helped us out with high energy--talkative, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there--nice change. The menu, while presented as authentic, is easily catered to Americanized taste buds. They have a variety of drinks, and wide selection of beers (pretty sure all bottled). So to start, I ordered myself a Modelo Especial. Also, the Breakfast Burrito without potatoes, smothered in cheese and green sauce. That's one thing I don't like about Mexican food breakfast burritos--too much potato, but they fixed it up for me. For a final touch, I ordered a Chile Relleno a la carte. I wanted to add a coffee, which was on the menu, but when I asked for it I was informed all they had was instant. I'm not sure if this is all the time, but that's just...no thanx lol. With a buzzer in hand to alert you to come pick up your food, you go find a table. They are pretty busy, and keep the price down by not running it out to your table. The dining room is not very big, with multiple bench tables big enough to seat like five each. The atmo: Well, not horrible, but a little tooo shared, and cafeteria-like. It was ok, not loud, I could hear who was with me (she gave 5 stars). It's kinda bright and open, but at the same time--chill. The other dine-in customers were totally at ease--completely used to it. Anyway, our buzzer went off, and grabbing the food was quick and easy. The moment of truth: I started with my Breakfast Burrito. They had added extra egg and cheese to replace the potato, filling up the massive fresh tortilla, without extra charge. The first bite took me back to Wall Street, like selling stocks at the right time--total payout! OMGosh it was sooo tasty. The Relleno is maybe the tops in Idaho Falls. Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with a smothered green chile & cheese, but some manage to. Despite my initial apprehension about the atmosphere, I was totally comfortable scarfing down my meal. My usual beer even tasted better there. The food is great, better than many full-scale places. The service is fun and upbeat, and the prices are very competitive. I'm going to do my part to help Morenita's stay around for another 36 years. My highest fast-casual Mexican food rating. Super-Scale 8* Most fast-casual places don't have coffee anyway!

The Quessabirria looked amazing but only tasted of grease which dripped freely all over everything. The carne asada burrito was ok. The meat didn't really stand out and it only tasted of beans, lettuce and sour cream. The two things that were good were the two pork taco options. The pork carnitas had the most amazing texture I've ever been lucky to try. It was moist and crunchy from the flat top. It is definitely worth giving this meat choice a try in anything they have. The true star though was the Adobada tacos. They were amazing. There was tons of meat with so much flavor. These were the best Adobada I've ever had anywhere. I think the highs were very high but the lows were just as low. They have decent salsas but if you can't take a good bit of heat you won't be able to handle even the weakest one. Definitely worth checking out.

Waiters: decent, maybe understaffed Food: well seasoned, decent portions Cost: it's a little on the pricey side and average dish is $14-18$ Bathrooms: adequate but single person only. Interior ambience is awesome. It kinda has a Mexican vineyard/casita sorta vibe. It being so unassuming from the outside I'd never stop by before this time and can say I am pleasantly surprised by the interior, the front entrance is a little cramped, but has some Mexican tropical plant vibes going on, with some pretty interesting plants. Although spiky, so be watchful of the kiddos. Pleasantly surprised by the decor as the outside is pretty lame. Upon entry, you greeted with a delightful aroma, which is always a plus in a restaurant, a good sign that the food is going to be tasty! The bad: The chips and salsa are not bottomless. The salsa is extremely watery and very hard to eat. Although the flavor is really good you have to sip or drink it to find that out as the seasoning is in the liquid. It really defeats the purpose of chips and salsa if you ask me and I am pretty annoyed by that. It's also not very shareable friendly that way. But if you want the easiest eating experience with it with the full flavor of the salsa broth I t's easier to take a drink of salsa and then eat a chip, again pretty annoying. The beans are also on the loose side almost watery, the color is unappetizing, but flavor is decent, you can taste the lard I believe and it is well salted, sticks to the chip a whole lot easier than the salsa at the very least. Less flavorful than the salsa though. The price, $28 plus tip for the Molcajete dish I felt wasn't necessary worth it. It was big enough to share but it felt more like a $19-20 dish than an almost $30 one. We called ahead of time and they basically couldn't understand what we were saying, English Spanish barrier. The good: Lemon slice for water was very generous, usually that's a skimpy item, not sure if that was a fluke or not. They have the good sonic style ice as well! The ambiance was nice. Delicious food. We had the Molcajete. The sizzling Molcajete stays hot the whole meal. A combination of well seasoned chorizo, chicken, beef, shrimp, onions and peppers swimming in their juices, the flavor of the chorizo permeating throughout the dish. It had a well seasoned great flavor and the meats were all tender and not overcooked. It also came with grilled green onions and grilled cactus, which both were a delight. There was 8 tortillas and two of us eating, just enough for one taco of each meat and plenty left over for combining with the beans and rice, Probably the best pico around, a little heavier on the cilantro than most places, your mileage may very. Although you don't get a ton of meat for what you are paying for. Just a taste of each for two basically. The side plate of guac, pico, rice and beans was on the light side for sharing. Overall I would go back and give it another try.
