I appreciated the friendliness of all the staff, their willingness to help us, and they didn't charge us anything which was very generous. It seems like a great place!

Not to mention, I waited almost an hour to be seen, after having an appointment booked. I was not greeted by check-in person either. After having to drive out there 3 times, both ladies working there could care less to apologize for the inconvenience, and had no explanation as to why I was messaged to get my order even though it was not ready. So, very unprofessional and an unpleasant experience b

My mom happened upon this optometrist because she recently joined Costco. I usually frequent…read moreVisionWorks but since I do not have vision insurance I have been on a comparison shopping hunt. All in all, Field Eye Care provided the most competitive rate and my mom had a positive experience so I made an appointment. The office is to the right of the main entrance of Cost Co. The check-in appointment went pretty smooth. I did like that they used laminated sign in sheets and forms. I am a recycler for life so I definitely appreciated the elimination of excess paper usage. It was pretty much routine in terms of the pre-exam measurements and then seeing the doctor. I was scheduled with Dr. Ashley Huff. So one, I got into the exam room this is when things really changed for me. I was so impressed at the quality of care I received. In terms of the number of years, I have been wearing eye glasses and corrective lenses more than I have not so I feel like I know what to expect. The level up happened when we began the fitting and Dr. Huff asked me about how often I wear my contacts. I told her that I do not wear them as much as I used to when I played competitive sports and in fact, I had not worn them the entire month. She asked if I sleep in them. I said no. She was puzzled because my eyes had signs of not getting enough oxygen so more blood vessels turn up to balance the problem. In the end, she asked me if at the end of my day when I take my contacts off, do they feel like suction cups. I immediately lit up and said yes! Turns out that my lenses were a bit tight on my eyes so the BC (base curve) of the lenses I was used to wearing were too small. I ended up going with one that was much more comfortable at a 9.0 BC. Who know? I never even knew what BC meant. I was kind of upset at my former optometrists for a second thinking how could they not see that. The blood vessels in my eyes are her to stay so there is nothing that can be done retroactively. But at least, I found a doctor that caught it. I always talked to my doctors about my dryness and eye irritation. And although they have helped with recommending a lens that allows more oxygen, recommended hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solution for a cleaner lens and eye drops, I believe this BC will make all the difference. As recommended by Dr. Huff, I wore my trials all day and when I went to remove them before bed, they were not like suction cups. Mission accomplished. I am so stoked to try these. Additionally, we decided to go with a daily lens since I do not wear them every day and it would be lighter on my eyes and more convenient. This office also utilizes an online portal which allows me to easily retrieve my contact lens or eye glass prescriptions any time. This is a great feature. I would definitely recommend Field Eye Care and I loved Dr. Huff, she's what eye care should be. Very professional. Very thorough. I felt like I mattered. Thanks!!!

I have referred friends and family to him as well over the years. In June, I was running low on contacts and due to financial reasons, I shopped around and found his contact prices to me significantly higher than Costco, so I called and asked him if he could fax them my RX. I could tell from his attitude on the phone that he was upset with me and said if I wanted the prescription, I'd have to come pick it up. I came the next day to retrieve the prescription and it wasn't until I left his office and I received the same attitude from him. After leaving, I saw that he had written at the bottom of the prescription stating that he would no longer see me as a patient longer be providing services or exams to me! His written comment was very blunt and surreal. I can't believe he would act that way after being his patient for so long and just because I asked for a written prescription for the FIRST time EVER, and he reacted so poorly. He took my financial situation, and my decision to shop elsewhere, personally. I liked him... I'm just very disappointed how unprofessional he was. Maybe he was having a bad couple of years days... hopefully he'll stop taking out his personal problems on his patients before he has no business left. Dr Schneider please do better.

My mom ordered a pair of glasses on June 1 and was told they would be ready in 1-2 weeks. After more than two weeks passed with no update, she called on June 23 to ask when she could pick up her glasses. She was told they would be ready on June 24 and that she would receive a call or text when they were available. June 24 came and went, but no one ever contacted her. After another week passed with no communication, she called again on July 1 to ask about the status of her glasses and requested to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor explained that there had been an issue with the machine that cuts the lenses, which was the reason for the delay. This was the first time anyone had mentioned there was a problem, despite the office previously saying the glasses would be ready and that they would keep her updated. She was then told that the lenses had just been cut that day and that the glasses would be ready for pickup later on July 1 after she got off work. The lack of updates and conflicting information throughout the process was very frustrating. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. When she got home and was simply cleaning the glasses, one of the lenses popped out with almost no pressure. This should not have happened with a brand-new pair of glasses. She returned on July 6 to have them fixed, but the front desk employee never apologized for the inconvenience or showed any empathy. Instead, she simply took the glasses and offered my mom a different pair to wear temporarily, even though my mom just wanted the glasses she paid for to be fixed. She left empty-handed, and now we're still waiting after more than a month from when the glasses were originally ordered. The repeated delays, lack of communication, poor quality control, and disappointing customer service made this a very frustrating experience.
