The weather did not co-operate with him or his crew at all. There were so many rain delays, but through the entire process, he was patient and kind, and he and his crew continued to work away when the weather would allow it. Watching the welding crew put the frame together was a wonderful experience. Metal footings are installed in the concrete when the foundation is poured. Then they weld the entire frame structure to those solid footings encased in concrete. That building is not going anywhere! He built us one fantastic workshop. Jon did a great job installing our new smart lock. If you're in the same boat, I recommend doing your own research and choosing a smart lock that works for you before getting a quote (it will depend on the complexity of the lock). Additionally, when rekeying our other locks to match, he noticed some problems with our deadbolts that he also fixed on the spot. When I first reached out to him, I did feel like his prices were a bit higher than some other quotes I obtained. Still, something told me to go with him (and support a local business as well). After he finished the job, his prices made way more sense. He leaves a large window for each customer in case there are unforeseen issues or he finds problems that he could fix on the spot (this is common since locks wear out over time). An immediate fix is definitely preferred since each service call costs a substantial amount. So it does seem like he factors in additional time for each visit so that he's able to problem solve and fix as much as necessary. This was really helpful since like I mentioned before, our other deadbolts were not closing all the way. In addition to a job well done, Jon seemed like a genuinely good dude and my husband and I enjoyed talking to him. The previous contractor had left it with visible drywall screws wide exposed cuts, etc. It looked terrible. After panicking because our countertops were scheduled for installation and looking through Jasons Yelp photos, we knew we needed to get on Jason's schedule. He books out sometimes 3 weeks, and this was last minute. We ended up delaying our countertop installation by 3 weeks in order to have him do the work. Waiting for Jason to do the work was 100% worth having a plywood island top for those 3 weeks. He showed up on time and got right to work. His cuts are precise, and the extension he built looks like it's always been there. We ended up hiring him to extend our kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling and add crown molding to it, as well as add trim pieces to our cabinets' blank sides before we had them painted. We also hired him to modify and install a wood hood over our stove top. Everything came out perfectly. We are more than impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.
