I'll note that I have owned several homes and have hired contractors for various projects throughout the years. This is to say that I have a pretty good sense for good and bad. So here you go... I cannot say that my experience with MYWH Construction ranks very high. Bottom line is that we did not get the end product that we desired and we certainly paid premium for this service. The issue is that there were a lot of conversations between me and the owner so it comes down to who's word you believe more as to what was expected versus what was delivered. But I know this. In all businesses that require customer loyalty, the customer is always right. As we got towards the end of the various projects, I started to question what I thought was missing. Then the communication broke down completely and he (and his crew) stopped communicating. My wife would call and text to see if they were going to show up and the never gave the courtesy of a response. I regret my choice in choosing MYWH Construction. They had come highly recommended by my real estate agent - with whom I hold in high regard. I would advise folks who are considering this type of work to interview several before deciding (which is my typical process). In fact, in the early stages of the project, I got estimates for additional work and MYWH came in 2x the price. The other contractor did great work. Second piece of advice would be to choose a contractor near your residence. This shop was 45 min to an hour away which is probably one of the reasons why they were untimely. It is a shame too because fixing a few small things would have made a big difference. I paid half up front the week they started the work and the other half was due at time of completion. The tile was laid and laid in correctly, leaving bathrooms incomplete, toilets not put back in place. There was thin-set all over the walls, tubs and cabinets. They were hollow and grout was already cracking. The LVP were laid in half of the house with many many errors leaving the floors incomplete and needing to be pulled up completely and relaid. He refused to listen to my concerns and request for repairs. He then left the jobsite on 12/02 and did not return. He refused to finish the work correctly and refused to refund any of my deposit. I am now out cost in labor and extra cost in flooring that I will have to replace. He is also refusing to pay his employees, and leaving my home unliveable. If someone recommends this guy RUN the other way. He does not care nor does he back his work or respect the homeowners property. He left trash all over my house and my yard, cutting wood INSIDE my home leaving dust and wood piece on the ground laying wood floor over it. I will tell everyone about how horrible he is not only as a contractor but as an employer and human being.
