Order ahead and HIGHLY recommend doing so, so you don't have to wait. When I got there wait time was an estimated 30-45 mins. The pastries/bread and latte are truly GREAT. Everything I had tasted so fresh and I couldn't decide on a favorite. Suggest getting half sandwiches so you can try different ones. They also come with a generous portion of chips and salsa (not pictured). Latte was a nice balance of sweet and not overpowering. Only downside was parking. Very small parking lot and while there is street parking (free for 2 hrs) may be circling for awhile.

I have heard a lot about this place and was very excited to try out. The food truck is in a super cute garden. The location alone is 5/5 stars. Both sandwiches we got were mediocre at best. The black current scone is good though

Adorable beautuful place with big trees. Pastries are pretty good, too. As the main building was under construction due to fire, we had lunch in the garden area. I really enjoyed the hot autumn day. I was bitten big time by mosquitos. That was a bit negative but a good lunch.

Texas French Bread is doing a great job holding down the fort while they rebuild after the fire. For now, they're serving breakfast and lunch out of an Airstream next door to the old building, with a shaded outdoor seating area that reminds me a bit of a beer garden. It might be a tougher sell in peak Austin summer heat, but for now, it's very pleasant. The food is excellent across the board, but the real standout (unsurprisingly) is the bread and pastries. The green chile croissant was fantastic: buttery, flaky, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. I also had the vegetarian sandwich, which is basically a banh mi, and it was fresh and flavorful. I only wish the portion was a bit bigger for the price, but quality-wise, it delivered. There was a curry soup on special the day I went. It had promise, but tasted a little watered down and under-seasoned. Not a dealbreaker, but it stood out in contrast to how great everything else was. Also worth noting: no salt or condiments on the picnic tables, which makes sense given the setup, but it's something to keep in mind. Overall, it's clear that the team cares deeply about what they're making. Can't wait to see what the next chapter looks like once they're back in a full kitchen.

My husband and I returned to Texas French Bread for lunch while on our ride. I love the atmosphere there. The outside seating is great! It's shaded by huge trees. We ordered our food at the trailer and were given a number and sat down and waited. It didn't take too long before we got our order. I ordered the Ham and Swiss Sandwich. It's my favorite. It's a yummy light lunch. The sandwich is good and the chips and salsa are a great side. Overall it's one of our favorite stopping places. Great outdoor atmosphere with friendly people working there and the food is yummy. We will return in the future.

Imagine our heartbreak when learning Austin's darling, the OG French bakery (and West Campus cultural hub) burned down. Now imagine my delight discovering (albeit very late to this party) there's a precious trailer installed right next door with a fabulous garden patio! Maybe not quite its former glory (while the new permanent structure is rebuilt), but there are sammiches, local coffee, pastries and beautiful atmosphere to boot! Aside from sweet nostalgia, the food is delicious as ever, so grab your favorite friend and support the reformation!

The place is great! Really good bake goods. The brown sugar croissant was delicious & the muffin too. Coffee was surprised good. Lavender Cold brew was amazing. Good costumer service. Ambience is good for a sunny day. Cute outdoor patio

What an incredible place. Without fail, this place is the best start to every morning. The food is always warm and fresh, and the drinks are seriously to die for. Since I started coming here, their chai has been getting better and better. I had to give my review a bit of an update because for a place to not only be getting better with their drinks but also with their friendly service is amazing. The chai is such an amazing way to start this hot morning and the people here are all so friendly and inviting. Plus the seating area is so cute!!

I finally had the chance to visit Texas French Bread. My fiancé and I each ordered half sandwiches for lunch, a cappuccino, and a whole wheat sourdough boule to take home. The bread is fantastic! Crispy, crunchy crust with a soft and fluffy crumb. I've been enjoying it with my morning fried eggs and veggies. They are still operating outside out of a vintage airstream but they have a full breakfast and lunch menu and baked goods for sale outside. They anticipate their re-grand opening in 2025. There's plenty of seating with large benches and tables to share. The ginormous tree will protect you from the scorching sun but when we stopped by it was raining and the tree kept us dry. I look forward to coming back soon as the baguettes and cookies look amazing!

    Valentine's Day cupcake *carrot cake*

I purchased some Valentine's Day cupcakes from the establishment with my Farmhouse Delivery order last week. The 6-pack of treats came with chocolate (2), vanilla with strawberry filling, (2), and carrot cake (2) cupcakes. The carrot cake cupcakes were by far the best of the bunch. The carrot cake cupcakes are everything you love about the cake--outstanding spice flavor, super moist crumb, and velvety cream cheese frosting--in a portioned cupcake wrapper! The carrot cake cupcakes are deeply moist and filled with toasted walnuts. Most of the flavor in the cupcakes comes from the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and carrots. If you have the opportunity to pick-up these cupcakes from Texas French Bread for $24.00 or from Farmhouse Delivery $29.99 (upcharge as these are delivered to your home with other organic and natural food from local TX farms and small businesses), these treats should not be missed. #supportlocal

We were visiting UT and this place came highly recommended. We got directions but were worried when we drove up to a fenced boarded up building. So I called and learned they were open in the garden out back. I'd recommend they hang a banner or sign street side to let people know they are open for business in the back. We almost drove off to find another place. We turned around pulled into the empty parking lot. We love supporting local businesses and enjoyed sitting under the big oak trees. There was a lot of pollen/dirt all over our table and I was a little sad it wasn't coming off of my purse. It would have been nice to have a larger towel to wipe down the tables. We waited a while for our food. Seemed to take a little longer (20 minutes) than I'd expect, considering it was pretty empty. Maybe they were short of staff. My latte came lukewarm but the sandwich was delicious. By the time we left, the parking lot was full and the line was long.

Under all of that beautiful powdered sugar, my french toast was kinda burnt :( It didn't affect the flavor much and I still scarfed it down like nobody's business. The latte was great - subtly sweet with the vanilla syrup and warmed me up. The raspberry scone was my FAVORITE and I will get it many times again. It was flakey, buttery, and a little tart from the raspberry inside of it. It was just so good and I don't usually gravitate toward raspberries but I'm glad I did. ‍

The food was hit or miss - some items were delicious and filling portions, others simply bare bones. But let me back up and start at the start. All the baked items here are made with organic flour. The cafe has cute seating indoors and in their charming patio. The bakery has a separate line to order to-go. When we were seated, they informed us that they had no more glasses so water would take a while. Then we tried to order, our server knew nothing of the menu. We added a couple of items and the server went MIA. No follow ups, no coffee refills, no order additions - I mean, the service was very "French." We kept going up to the host stand ourselves for simple requests like cutlery and water. I wonder if the automatic gratuity on the bill removes any responsibility from the server to provide any service at all? Next time, I'm only going to pickup bakery items and eat elsewhere. The croissants were good.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here to catch up with a buddy that enjoys wine as much as I do. Starting off, we got a glass of Aubry brut 1er cru glass. Nice, acidic, and bubbly. What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Then wrapping up, we got a single glass of produttori del barbaresco and capellano barolo. These were super old wines from the 80s and boy were they screaming tertiary notes. Awesome experience. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, we spent around $270 for a bottle of pinot noir, two glasses of really old wine and a sneak peek bite of their tasting menu. Will be back to try more wines and food.

The Scarlett crab was soo good and added the perfect amount of saltiness and sweetness to the comforting soup! For our mains, we got the duck which had a delicious hoisin sauce. While I enjoyed the bok choy I felt it could have a better accompaniment. We also got the salmon which had a smaller portion, but was unique in its taste and execution. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot, but do be aware that the menu is small when ordering ala carte but each item is executed thoroughly well!

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful.
