The worst disposal company I've ever had. Had to buy a second recycle can from them after years of being allowed to stack neatly flattened cardboard next to the can so that it wouldn't take the entire space. Found out this week that they will only pick up 3 bags of yard waste, no more. When I called they said that the driver had taken a picture to prove that I had more than 3 (didn't even know there was a limit). The solution... I can buy another can! Unfortunately stuck with them, but will complain to my HOA. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. read more

Most atrociously bad trash company on the planet. Absolutely the worst. Scheduled a bulky trash pickup and was promised for A WEEK NOW that it would be picked up. Came home tonight to find...it wasn't. Despite 6+ phone calls to them. They will lie to you nonstop over the phone. Don't trust them. read more

Today 1 out of our 3 trash cans was not collected today. I called TDS and they informed me they only collect 2 trash cans per service. I explained that this is the first time in 12 years, 624 trash pickups, that this has happened or I have ever heard of the 2 can limit. TDS's customer representative stated that this new Driver followed the rules and purposely left 1 of our cans. "The other drivers must have not followed the rules and dumped all of your cans." I don't blame the driver, they apparently were doing their job to a fault, but am very disappointed and frustrated with the service from TDS. 12 years as a customer, and this is what we get. Keep in mind we normally do not have all 3 cans out at once, but the lack of communication and empathy shown from TDS is very discouraging, especially in these tough times. read more

Just relocated from NYC and so far, everything in Bee Cave has been amazing but with exception to this disposal service. They didn't deliver our bins as promised. They didn't pick up our trash nor recyclables as planned. It's going on week 2 and still no bins. The bulk pick up is ridiculously expensive and inconvenient. It's $35 bucks per every 3 cubic yards (think washer/dryer together). BUT...you need to provide a detailed inventory list of all of the items before they can provide a cost. In NYC, you just pay the standard fee and they charge you for overage. Unfortunately, they seem to own the monopoly around here and you have no choice but to contract with them. Lastly, customer service people are nice but damn is it slow! Every call is a 5 min wait. Good luck. read more

If you are thinking of hiring these guys for residential service, don't. Just horrible customer service. I will have had trash on my driveway for three weeks straight now. This after after a half dozen phone calls over the past two weeks and several conflicting sets instructions. The ownership of TDS must think they are doing it's customers a favor by picking up trash. Texas Disposal Systems left the trash outside instead of picking it up. Would have taken less than a minute to load it. Instead I have to spend over 2 hours dealing with this today and it is still going on. They don't pick up the phone. I called them within 30 minutes of the truck passing by... explaining that their lazy collector didn't take all the trash. Now the entire community has to suffer and see this mess. They routinely leave the cans in the street making it dangerous to drive and walk. I will lobby our homeowners to explore finding a better company who cares about its customers and the communities in which they operate. Perfect example of Poor Customer Service! I called and emailed customer service manager... I spoke with Tara in customer service... Only got a super short email saying it was all picked up about noon. No apology or anything. And it wasn't picked up. They simply do not care if they stink up our community and attract critters and bugs. read more

Poor Service by trash and recycling collectors, and equally poor customer service and supervisors. As a local company, I would think they would honor clients as friends and neighbors... unfortunately they treat clients poorly. Dangering the community by leaving the trash bins in the middle of narrow streets... specifically the route at Westminster Glen. Simple common courtesys that you would do for your clients, friends and neighbors, such as taking a couple of extra bags during leaf pickup season, their collectors are specifically told not to do so. They would rather upset clients who have to drag bags back up their driveways, leave communities unsightly, and endanger drivers and pedestrians. Management is either unaware how this policy affects the community or they do not care, both of which indicate how they feel about the community. We will explore other options for our community at the next HOA meeting. Another example of poor customer service. read more

We stopped in on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago to dump off an old BBQ. I had my father-in-law come by with his truck to help me. Turns out even though the gates were opened they do not take in trash on Sundays. I asked if I could leave it until tomorrow along with name, phone number and credit card info as I didn't have a way to bring it back the next day but they said no way possible as it "was against state law to dump on a Sunday".......They are always pretty expensive but much better then going out to the the larger dump if you just have a couple of small items. Overall I'm glad we have them in the area but mainly wanted people to know to do their dumping on Monday-Saturday. Didn't see any signs saying they were closed Sundays and since they sell compost at same site it can be a little confusing. read more

These people are so petty. I have a broken arm and didn't put my trash out last night. I forgot about until the truck came by. Put it out on opposite side of road and they drove right by. Called office and they said that was there policy. Said it was in email packet which I never got. Had to call multiple times just to get a can. read more

Our town house complex has TDS in North Austin, not Bee Cave, but it's the same crummy service. Our pick up day is Saturday, and I understand if they got behind the week of Thanksgiving. However, they didn't pick up the trash until Tuesday morning after our HOA office called and did battle with them. They didn't even tell us that service might be delayed, so trash was sitting out from Friday afternoon at most units. What a mess! If I could give them no stars, I would. read more

I understand its for safety but I work and live downtown and they have these annoying beepers going on their trucks almost all the time. They pick up at the W and they will be out beeping about 4 to 6 times a day.......its awfully annoying. They also pick up in neighborhood sin the middle of the night and for some reason bang the trashcans on the trucks at least three times. Don't use them unless you don't like your neighbors. read more

Usually their "creative" measurements and high prices are the only issue, but today I encountered the rudest excuse for an employee that I've dealt with in quite a while. Trying to clean up the mom-in-law's place, Loaded up the bed of my truck one time and was charged about $33. The next time with a little less trash was charged over $50. A little discrepancy is acceptable. This was unacceptable. Quickly found out it was going to be way cheaper to have a dumpster dropped off at the place and hauled away than continue to try and use this place. read more

I get the impression that they simply DO NOT care if your trash gets picked up or not. However, they do want their money when it's due. horrible service! site manager, mr. eric leopold, harrassed me as i was dumping my leaves and accused me of being a thief and not paying just because i didnt ask for the receipt from the office for dumping yard leaves. when we went back to the office to get my receipt he slammed the door in my face and hit my nose so hard that i thought it was broken. definitely not the way to treat a paying customer. i think folks in austin have better customer service options. hope eric's overinflated ego is worth the amount of business he is driving away. read more
