First time going here and has a great experience. I came in for a rash and the doctor was quick to diagnose and recommend a treatment. The staff was very friendly and provided all the answers I needed. I saw the other review about the high cost but that must have been a problem with the insurance because my visit was sixty bucks and had three prescriptions that totals around thirty five dollars. read more

Getting a hold of someone at the Katy office is impossible. My son had already been seen for a specific condition and prescribed some medication. The condition only got worse and I wanted him seen as soon as possible. I called on a Monday, 3 different times and all times I had to leave a voicemail because no one answered. Three days later they still had not called me back. I called again but had to keep insisting, hanging up and calling again until finally someone answered. The doctor that saw my son the first time was out so I asked for another doctor to see him, I explained how urgent the situation was and they told me this specific doctor didn't like any other doctor to see her patients. Really? They are in the same practice! They gave me an appt for a week later. Now they said results of his test would be ready in 3 days, it's been 5 and they haven't called me. Front office staff is some of the rudest Ive ever seen. No greeting, no smiles, very down to business attitude. Dr. L. Schmidtberger was very pleasant though and good energy. This doctor's office is the worst I can ever remember visiting in my life. The front desk people couldn't have be ruder. When I arrived with my 88 year old Mother they said you were suppose to be here 30 minutes ahead of your appointment we can't see you. I was not very happy as I was never told I had to be there 30 minutes ahead. They finally said they would check if the doctor would see her. They came back and said they could see my mom in two hours as the last patient of the day. My mom is in a wheelchair and in assisted living. It is a lot of work just to get there. They didn't care. When I asked why I needed to be there so early they said to fill our the paperwork. That took all of five minutes. When we saw the doctor two hours later the doctor had no idea of what had happened when we got there. At one point while we were waiting I stepped out as it was very hot in the waiting area. They call my house and told my husband I had to get back into the waiting area. When I went back they told me I had to wait with my mom. My mom is totally alert and didn't need me to babysit her. They were more worried about me paying it seemed than anything else. I would advise if you have a choice go somewhere else. read more

Very hard to get hold of a person at this office (any of them!). I left three phone messages and sent one email, did not receive a response. I was trying to get additional information about a procedure I was to have done there. Ended up cancelling the appointment because I could not get a response. I am furious about how this office has handled my appointment scheduling. Today is the 3rd time my appointment was incorrect.

KATY LOCATION: Want a dermatologist who never cuts out enough material margin to get clear of the suspect area the first time, and then calls you back in a couple of days later after the wound has partially healed to schedule another cut in a few days on the same spot, exponentially increasing the heal time and scar? If so, Texas Dermatology in Katy may be for you! Want a dermatologist company who for the last 2 years uses the excuse that "they are moving to a new accounting system" (apparently that is now moved to the DFW area) and when you finally get a statement, it goes back almost 1 year in charges so that you struggle to find EOBs and proof of your payments, and you actually find creditcard payments that they never credited? If so, Texas Dermatology in Katy may be for you! It is incredible they are still in business. Stay away. read more

With 3 offices in Houston, I can see why the location in Katy have the lowest ratings. I am a first time patient calling to schedule an appointment. The person who assisted me name was Gabby. She was extremely rude, short in her response to my questions and condescending. Her attitude completely changed once I asked for her name and location she worked at. read more

Unfortunately there is no rate lower than 1.The doctor cancelled two of my appointments and did surgery on the third.The doctor said she would see me in two weeks after surgery but at my appointment at two weeks after surgery the doctor REFUSED to see me. read more

This place is horrible don't waste your time here. Dr. Sedrak is good but they will bill you for extra "services" that they "forgot" to tell you while you're there and the billing office won't work with you. Very unprofessional. read more

Whatever you do , DO NOT ACCEPT, "DR. CHENG" who is a PA. This guy is not really sure about the information he is providing and will try to get you do things to your face that are not necessary. Everything else about this clinic is fine, but I think that they are making a huge mistake by keeping this guy there. read more

First of all, I made an appointment weeks in advance, wrote it down immediately, and even confirmed it with the office staff over the phone. When I arrived at the office, after my husband taking the morning off work to stay home with our children, they told me they had no record of my appointment. I was able to tell them exactly when I had called and to whom I had spoken, but this made no difference to them. They just shrugged like it wasn't their problem; no apology, no nothing. When they eventually managed to squeeze me into the schedule, they acted like I had inconvenienced them terribly. My husband had to take additional time off work and I had to rearrange my schedule completely. I had a couple of biopsies and was told they would call me in 7-10 days to let me know the results. Well, after a few weeks went by I thought I would just call them and politely ask when they thought they might get the results. I was told they had had the results for a whole week. I asked why they hadn't called me during that week to let me know whether or not I had cancer. They told me they just didn't have time. So in other words, they managed to answer the phone and have a 2-minute phone conversation with me because they had to, but if I hadn't called, they never would have given me my results despite promising me they would. Since the doctor had told me he would let me know how we should move forward once we got the results, I asked if he had any instructions for me. He told me to put vaseline on the biopsy spot. I told them I know what to do about the wound, but I wanted to know what to do about the giant neoplasms. They just reiterated about vaseline. Obviously I need to find a doctor who can actually treat skin problems. By the way, I was perfectly polite and friendly throughout all of this, never rude, never demanding. But even the expectation that they would honor their appointments and reveal my results to me made them really put out. I will never visit this office again. read more

I go to the northwest location one at the north cypress hospital and these people are ridiculous and lazy. They have been over charging us over $1000 for office visits and also are horrible with their services they offer. I called once at 445 and someone kept picking up then hanging up... This happened 6 times until the answering machine came on and said they were shut. Absolutely disgusted with this branch of dermatology offices in Houston. WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM, EVER. read more
