Here's the deal.. $58 per menu. We were seated pretty much on time for our 5:15 p reservation. We were seated at a small table for two along the inside wall. My chair was adjacent to the area where waitresses were dropping off dirty bar glasses.clinking; sloppyz; waitress actually reached over me to put something in the table with the dirty glassware ; gave her a look and she apologized. Salad bar was good., waitress initially was cheerful when we were seated; gave the usual info and asked if medium rare was ok as all our meat is done that way . No meat arriving for a very long time. No one in the dining room if you looked around. Eventually flank steak arrived ; medium but ok . Then a huge lapse with no meat . About that time waitress arrived with mashed and bananas. Better late than never! Asked if we had gotten what we wanted for meat... we did get one piece each of hammered filet in the interim. We told her we're wanted piqueno (Brazilian cut) and flank steak and wanted medium rare as she had outlined . Her response was al"well there are a lot of people here tonight who want medium well and well done" and sooooooooo. We told her that was not an acceptable answer. She must have gotten the manager who arrived with the Brazilian cut himself and cut it himself. Shortly after medium rare flank steak arrived. I've never had an experience quite like this. The salad bar alone is unbeatable, with both hot and cold selections, including soups, salads and charcuteries. The wine list was incredible and the meat selection was out of this world. Just when you think you cannot possibly take one more bite, something new and delicious passes by. The service was impeccable & Lauren was our server Wednesday evening. The ambiance made you feel like you were in another world; simply gorgeous! The concept of turning your marker from red to green to request the servers stop at your table is wonderful. We went for a birthday celebration on a Sunday afternoon at 4:30, party of 9. We were warmly welcomed and after about a ten minute wait, we were seated. The place is clean and nicely decorated but the table layout made it cumbersome to maneuver. Our waiter was very friendly and explained everything fairly well. Six of us just ordered the salad bar option and the other three went with the meat option. The gauchos had no way of telling who ordered which option and kept bugging everyone, even though we had the red side of our cards facing up. It got rather annoying after a while. It took quite a while to get our water glasses filled, and even longer for the few cocktails that were ordered to arrive. After this, our waiter disappeared. We didn't see her again until at least half an hour later. The salad bar has a lot of options, something for everyone. You can definitely make a full meal out of of everything here. Everything was fresh, fully stocked, and delicious. It was good, but it wasn't $32 good. For those having the meat option, the gauchos did come around frequently with the various meats. Some even asked your doneness preference and would find that on the stick. They even asked if anyone was looking for more of a certain type of meat. That was a nice touch. For the most part everyone said the meat was good, however, most commented how overly salty it was. As I mentioned, it was very odd on how the waiter seemed to vanish. The restaurant was not that busy, and there were plenty of other waiters around. The empty dishes were never cleared away. We had to stack our plates on top of the old every time we went to the salad bar. The dishes that the small amount of mashed potatoes and bananas were never removed. Our water glasses remained empty until one of us flagged down another waiter. We were never asked if we wanted refills on the cocktails or the wine. We then sat and waited, and waited, and waited for our checks. It took 40 minutes after we were clearly done eating before the waiter came back with the checks. I don't even think we were asked if we wanted dessert. We paid and left. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but the service was lacking and can be improved on. Would I come back here? Sure, if someone else was paying. While I have no problem affording a place like this, I just can't justify spending that much money for how little that I can eat. oh last minute thought.... We did walk in. First of all, when we asked if there are still reservations, they said no and didn't even want to tell us we could do waitlist until we asked. The lady was rude and had an attitude for no reason, but it wasn't the case when she was talking to other people. When we were put on the waitlist, she didn't specify that all four people had to be physically waiting inside the restaurant for a hour and forty-five minutes to be able to called for a table. We went to Texas de Brazil last night and were very disappointed. I'm from out of town and my partner and I oft n come here because the quality of food and service has typically been outstanding. Unfortunately lat night much of the food was cold. The salad bar remains a highlight but the severs who distribute the meats were few and far between. That remained so even after complaining to our main server. I had ordered a cocktail which took 15 minutes to serve because we were told the got the order wrong. Normally, we would visit the restaurant but due to illness we had to have it delivered. We ordered $252 dinner for two with all the trimmings and ordered everything cooked Rare. Such an amazing restaurant! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that our server was not great - didn't bring us sides until we asked for them, and was incredibly slow on beverage refills. I have been to Fogo de Chao a few times (a similar Brazilian style chain restaurant) and am familiar with this concept of all you can eat Brazilian steakhouses (meats brought to each table with a card to flip to signal "more" vs. "done") and salad bar. I believe prices have recently gone up. We had made a reservation for a Friday evening and the place was decently busy. Service was excellent, no complaints there. Salad bar - 2-3/5 this is the biggest disappointment. The website boasts many delicious and tasty options (so much so that I figured I may want to come and only have a salad bar lunch someday). I felt this to be a rather sad salad bar. While the options were there, nothing looked very fresh/delicious/appetizing. There was nothing that stood out or was great. I remember Fogo de Chao's being better. Table sides - 2-3/5. The Brazilian cheese bread was just OK. Other sides included french fries, caramelized bananas (I do not think they were plantains), and mashed potatoes. They were brought out halfway through our meal so we did not really try them. Meats 4.5/5. The meat is good at these places. Servers were somewhat young and not too experienced but very enthusiastic. I especially enjoyed the picana. Though there was not too much variety (seems like the same types of meats are brought out), we were told that if we have any requests, we could make them (we did not have anything specific in mind, but it was a nice touch). We were disappointed they did not have grilled pineapple. Most individuals got drinks and dessert (extra charge). Dessert portion looks huge so does justify the slightly higher prices. Our first visit to Texas de Brazil was pretty good. The salad bar part was absolutely delicious. The meats were just okay, most were way over salted. The waitress asked how we liked our meats cooked, 1 out of the 6 of us said medium well or well done. There was no distinction when the servers came around, so I'm not sure why she asked or how to improve that. Most meats came medium rare. When we first got there at 6:30 on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy yet they were pretty slow coming around with the meats. Once we were finished eating and our cards were flipped to red, they came around much more often. The cool part was when our waitress overheard us saying that we were hoping to try their ribs. She made sure that some ribs were brought out about 20 minutes later. Bummer though, because those ribs were not great and the saltiest meat of the night. Tables were far enough apart, but it was pretty loud in there. Also, none of the meat servers spoke loudly or clearly enough for us to know what they were offering. We literally had to ask what it was after they said it, every single time. Every buffet I've ever been to has small desserts included. Texas de Brazil does not. I would have loved a little sweet treat afterward but I surely didn't need to purchase a giant slice. I went back to Texas de Brazil for the second time in my life. For some reason it seems to me there's similarities to going to a rodeo. Don't get me wrong you should try it once, especially if you want to eat a lot of meat, because it's unlimited. The meat is not bad, although some people could say it's overly seasoned and those that are sensitive will definitely be holding a lot of water the next day. I will defend the restaurant in one case. Somebody complained about the cost. I disagree given today's economy. Dinner is unlimited for $50 per person, which includes a relatively generous choice at the salad buffet. Given the fact that a salad by itself with 4oz of chicken in it at Wegmans cost me $12- $13, $50 seems about right. I don't dislike this restaurant, I'm just in no rush to come back, unless I could enjoy somebody seeing it for the first time, especially a teenager who loves to eat and eat and eat! read more

We decided to go out to celebrate my spouses birthday. I made reservation a week out online and Saturday was a busy day and I could only get a 4:45 seating. That was a blessing in disguise because this process was a long time. Before covid we had come to this location and had a similar experience of slow service, this isn't true of the other locations we have been to. It took awhile for our server to come great us which is understandable given now they have to do more than take drink orders. They also have to get your salad bar items. They give you a menu of items to select and a pen. If you want seconds you have to ask and they bring you a new paper and pen. They came out with garlic mashed potatoes, bananas, bread and French fries for the table. It takes awhile to get your salads. My impression is they are kind of short staffed for all the work the waitress has to do. We also had a table behind us that was very demanding so that didn't help the pace. Be warned that they basically pile everything on one plate.. so if you want something not touching you will have to tell them. Like my couscous salad was on top of my mixed greens salad. The meats were very slow to come out. They have to sanitize after each table.. so meat comes to a table, then back to the kitchen.. those meat carvers are doing a lot of back and forth. You would think they would have come up with an easier way to do things since the one dining area is pretty far from the kitchen. They did give my spouse a dessert for his birthday which was nice. We weren't cashed out until after 7. That is a long time to be at a dinner. It wasn't our fault either, the food was just that slow. There were many times we were just sitting there waiting. We had a few other meats which were all absolutely tasty (ribs, another cut of beef, etc) and the only meat that I was t blown away by was the pork tenderloin, which was a bit dry. Honestly, I wasn't even mad about the dry pork because I dipped it in the creamy, flavorful mashed potatoes and was satisfied! Which brings me to the sides - mashed potatoes were awesome, the Brazilian cheese bread was AMAZING, and my husband loved the fried bananas but I personally am not a huge banana fan so I was all set. We enjoyed a free slice of pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for his birthday and we were STUFFED. All in all, yes, it's a pricey dinner but it is worth it to me. I definitely ate enough to feel perfectly okay with the price. You can go out and get a $40 steak somewhere, but all you get is steak and sides. Here you get variety! We also did not get anything at the salad bar as we were forewarned we'd probably fill up on that and be upset, and I am super glad we listened to that advice. At the salad bar I always do some nice olive oil with balsamic on the bottom of the plate and get the fresh Parmesan with sun-dried tomatoes so when your meat comes you have a nice dipping sauce. While 50 something dollars to get in the door seems steep, the overall experience is definitely worth it. For the prix fixe you'll have access to a high end salad bar and all the lamb, steak, pork, and chicken that you can eat delivered to your table (that is, before the pit boss in the suit pulls you aside). We arrived (3 of us) with a reservation and had to wait 10+ minutes to be seated. They seemingly sat two groups of people, one who arrived before and another who arrived after us despite the first group not mentioning even having reservations, and yet we did and still had to wait. They had 3 different carvers all go to our table at once, which was nice, but then that was it. I was frustrated that we were sat in such an inconvenient location and after the first few minutes of waiting I decided to use the stop watch app on my phone so I knew it was real time and not "hungry" time I would be using to express my dismay. I kid you not. We waited a little over 27 minutes before any other carvers made its way towards our side of the restaurant. The bartender who apparently was our server had come over roughly 35 minutes after we had been seated to ask us if we had gotten any other meats yet and then asked us what we preferred & Temps. When the carvers finally came back, none of our preferences were brought, and most meats that were cooked to temp were more on the midwell side despite asking for med rare. When they finally brought filet over, it was also overcooked. The carver said he could grill some for us. When he finally came back, the meat was cooked closer to our preference but was so oversalted it was nearly inedible. All in all, the experience was not great. The first day I was sitting at the bar, when I heard the manager "stacy" openly criticizing her employees, distracting the bartender by questioning why certain staff members were giving up shifts, asking if they still wanted to work there, and even mentioning that one of them might be fired. The following day we waited approximately four minutes to be seated, during which time the same manager was speaking to the hostess in a very negative tone about an employee who had arrived 15 minutes late. I was later brought my salad And at this time I just realized that it took an hour for my first dish of salad and drink to come out. Throughout the whole ordeal, our waiter Javier was nothing short of amazing. He brought out the manger to speak to us and she did something special for our table in addition to apologizing and stating things are delayed due to Covid. My thing was - at a nice establishment like this, it's beyond frustrating to have dinner reservations made and have to wait 30+min to be seated and then wait even longer for food/drinks to be rolled out. I then placed my second order for salad and a coffee and then checks began rolling out. Not sure if the staff got sidetracked but I never received my second order or coffee. I know I keep updating this review, but we went with friends last night, and I have more to say. First of all, they shortened happy hour to 6:00. I actually left work early to get there at 6:30, so there's no way I can be there by 6:00. And really, how can anyone that works until 5:00 be there by then? As a vegetarian, the part of Texas de Brazil that I enjoyed was the $5 caipirinhas. My husband would drive me because he eats meat and loves the food, and I would drink, since I can't eat much. Well, that is ruined now. So, I looked at the drink menu, and there was nothing cheaper than $9. I asked the waiter if they had well drinks, and he said they did. We've been here a lot, and they never did before, but I told him if it was like $7, I'd have a vodka and Diet Coke. Rather than ask me, he brought it over while I was at the salad bar. It was $8.25. So, for 75 cents, I could have just gotten a caipirinha, which I would have if I had known. I also would have gotten 2 at $7. $8.25 for Deep Eddy and Coke is too much in my mind, so I only had 1. There were 4 of us. Everyone else got the full meal for $44.99, and I got the salad bar. for $24.99 I told the waiter this, we tell all of the people that come over with the meats, and it is also very obvious as you're eating that a person is salad bar only. When they clear your plates, you can plainly see mine only had rice left on it, where the plates that had meat on them are clear to see. So, it comes time for the check, and we were charged for 4 people at $44.99. I pointed this out, and it was corrected and the waiter apologized, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. It is a very over priced salad bar as it is. There is lobster bisque and sushi on it, but vegetarians cannot eat that. I think it's pretty safe to say most people coming here and having salad bar only are vegetarian, and are not eating the expensive things on the bar. I had salad, goat cheese, mozzarella, hummus, bread, mashed potatoes and rice for $25. At best, I probably had $10 worth of food. My husband's meal cost more, but at only $20 more than mine, it has some value to it. He may have actually eaten $45 worth of food, and leaves very satisfied. I left hungry. and mad that they tried to overcharge me, more so than the salad bar already is. At a burger place where your bill is like $40 total, if mistakes happen, I don't mind so much. At a place where our meal was over $200, I just feel things like this shouldn't happen each time we come. It would also help me greatly if they added something else to the salad bar option, like a dessert or non alcoholic drink. Instead, I basically had water, lettuce, and bread, lol. I know this place is not aimed at vegetarians, but it's also not a place my husband is likely to go without me since it is pretty pricey. I lost happy hour now, and I've never been crazy about the salad bar, so I really think we won't be back unless it's his birthday or friends would want to go. He does love the food here, and the food on the salad bar is also always good. It is just very pricey for me, and we always have some sort of issue with service. read more
