Do not be fooled by fake good reviews. They are a SCAM. Did not clean. Brought an old vacuum that was already full of debris and didnt empty it! Owner said they would refund or redo if I took down my bad review first! Hah. Read review by Valerya I. Exactly same experiance as mine. read more

I had some renovation done on the house and the dust was everywhere. Yuck. Reached out to about eight different housecleaners on Yelp and chose Texas Cleaning for a couple of different reasons. Here's what I got: Two cleaners showed up right on time (there were a couple of txts before the service to confirm date & time) ready to go. These two ladies worked four hours straight with no breaks and like all good cleaners, they started at the top and worked down efficiently cleaning every room including dusting, sweeping, cleaning, polishing, shining, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping. I had no problems with these nice people - no dawdling, no wasting time, just solid work with care for my furniture and belongings. Total cost for two people at fours hours with all the services I noted (and tip!) was a little under $400. For a home full of dust everywhere, I thought this was well worth it, and Texas Cleaning did just fine. Give 'em a try. read more

When we booked the appointment we asked how many cleaners would be sent. They told us two. Also, we were sent a confirmation email claiming we would receive a discount for our first visit. Neither were true. But, a very nice lady arrived on time and began to clean. I had requested special attention to our baseboards as this had not been done for quite a while. I didn't observe this occurring immediately so I asked if she'd been directed to do this. She said in the bathrooms she was focusing on them but indicated she had not enough time to do them all. Though things were tidy and cleaner than before, we felt the job was rushed and attention was not given to the items we specifically requested. Ultimately, we were not completely satisfied with this service. read more

The owner, Jacob, reached out and offered a full refund and a reclean. We accepted the refund, which we truly appreciate and resolves that particular issue, although I would have been happy with just the partial reclean to finish the service from the beginning. It's a shame that it got resolved after I posted a poor review; I didn't go straight to posting a bad review--I tried to find a resolution with a company supervisor, and I don't believe it should have to get to the point of an owner overriding a supervisor after a review is posted--it should be made right the first time. But I appreciate that he emphasized growing from these mistakes rather than solely smoothing it over with a refund, and I think it's meaningful that he gave detail for the ways they'll improve. Examples are "...I will be taking the necessary steps to improve from this situation and avoid this from happening again in the future...Regarding the response from the management team, I think that could have been addressed a little better, the situation shouldn't have escalated the way it did, the solution should have been sending the team or a new team out to do the appropriate job that wasn't done originally as per the agreement. I will be working on improving the training process...Cleaner will be aware of their mistakes and management side will be aware of how to deal with these kind of situations and provide the best solution to the problem..." But he also continues to heavily and repeatedly emphasize removing my review, and this is what continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I had hoped to write a more positive review, but while finding a resolution can often fully solve an issue, it doesn't make it so that it didn't happen. This was the interaction between the company and me, it's just a fact that it happened; the purpose of a review is literally to convey your interaction with a company in order for others to make informed decisions, and removing it feels dishonest. I personally often value how a company resolves issues more than the issue itself, and any future potential customer can see how the company resolved the issue, and how the company has committed to improvement. It's up to them to decide for themselves--erasing a company's mistakes is not my responsibility. It's also dangerously close to Yelp's policy against companies paying to change reviews. And I wanted to give 4 stars, but I can't. If it was just bad work but was handled well, I'd give 4 stars. If it was bad work and was handled poorly by a receptionist but handled well by management, I'd give a weak 4 stars. If all of that had happened and the company committed to change as they did but didn't over-focus on reviews, I'd think about it. It would also be different if this was a fluke and didn't seem to be a trend for them. My husband hired them without reading reviews, but there are other reviews also complaining about things not being cleaned at all, and some of the 4 stars were actually poor reviews that changed after Jacob "made it right". I do hope that they are genuinely committed to improvement so that their employees communicate professionally, don't grill customers that follow procedure, actually know what to do in normal situations, actually do what they're paid to do rather than cut corners, and aren't dishonest. Their future customers deserve that. I hope that they get nothing but genuine rave reviews from here on out because they changed to preemptively provide great service. read more

EDIT: Jacob contacted us to understand what went wrong, noted all of our grievances and promised to fix the issues for future customers. He also credited us for $100 for our troubles. It goes to show that the owners do care about customer service, and are willing to work hard to keep improving things 1. They offer a 24-hour cancellation window. It is very easy to book the service online, but there is no way to cancel online. We had a Monday morning appointment, and we needed to cancel. The only way was to call, and they would only take calls at 11 AM on Sunday. Despite this issue, they flat out declined to waive the cancellation fee. Their first response was that we dispute the charge with the CC company. It did not seem to them that this was their problem. Eventually, they let us reschedule online. 2. We had booked a post-renovation clean, costing us about $550. This includes wall cleaning. We filled out a form with this information, and mentioned that we needed bathrooms cleaned, and we have hardwood floors. When they showed up, the cleaners didn't know about any of this. They didn't have equipment to handle the dust, to even vacuum hardwood floors, and we offered our own vacuums. The cleaning people were very nice, but they had no information. They were just two of them, and obviously overwhelmed by the task, though they did a great job at the end. To me, the second point is what makes this business terrible. Being incompetent in scheduling is one thing. Trying to keep as much of the money through unfair policies is also nothing new. But being incompetent at the logistics of cleaning? That is inexcusable. I hope they paid the cleaning lady because from their attitude it seems they would try to scam on the other side too. read more

I am updating this review as per the resolution to the issue I had with cleaning service. I did receive a refund of which the amount I will not disclose here, and an extensive follow up email about how the company will resolve these issues moving forward that appeared to be genuine. With that being said, it seems like similar issues have been noted in other reviews and the company may still be having issues with executing what they say they will do to improve. I will consider using this company again for regular cleaning service and see if it is done better, the initial issues I had were with the move out cleaning service which was executed poorly when I was on a strict timeframe to get old tenants out, do repairs to the house, build a gate, and also working my 9-5 job on top of all that. All of this needed to be done within two days, and cleaning was to be done on the second day after all other projects were done. I cannot say at the moment I would suggest using this companies extensive move out cleaning service, however they might do just fine for the regular cleaning. I cannot in good conscience remove my review completely, as the bottom line is I paid for a service in a time of need with confidence that what I had paid at the time would be worth every dollar paid and the house would be ready for new tenants to move in. It was not ready, and that is the point. The company did make it right by providing a refund and explaining how they would correct these issues moving forward which is why this review is now four stars. With that being said, the below information is still relevant to my initial experience. Hopefully I can work with the company to provide better service with regular cleaning moving forward. Further information regarding this service: Not done: 1. Vents 2. Door frames 3. Picture frames 4. shelves 5. top of refrigerator 6. Toaster oven 7. Wall behind stovetop 8. Dusting off one desk in office Partially done: 1. Lighting fixtures. 2. Mopping (mostly done, one or two areas not done) 3. Ceiling fans (partially done, decorative crevices not cleaned) I did manage to come find (unnamed workers due to privacy) as the fridge had only been partially cleaned inside even though this was a service I paid extra for. It was difficult to communicate to them but I eventually realized they had not cleaned it because there were some items in the fridge. This is not clear when paying extra that everything must be taken out, however as they would not I took everything out myself which took three minutes, and asked them to clean it again which it seemed like they begrudgingly did. I have to say I was not particularly happy needing to argue about receiving a service I had already paid for. I asked them to focus on the tenant rooms and they said they would, mopped everything else but the tenant room still has dusty shoe prints. What's funny is I actually vacuumed the WHOLE HOUSE ahead of time to make sure they could focus on problem areas. they used this extra time to leave early. When you pay $15 extra for refrigerator cleaning, this is unacceptable, the only time it would be acceptable is if it is DISCLOSED everything must be removed from the fridge (it was not) Speaking of which, if you have any items in your house, say, notebooks, stickers, mousepads THEY WILL NOT MOVE IT TO CLEAN IT. They offered to have someone come to fix it, to bad since I already spent my time that I needed to repair damage to the house and do touch up painting etc cleaning everything they did not clean. read more

Requested a deep cleaning and really only got a standard cleaning for $400. After I found out my daughters huge 5 bedroom house that she got a deep cleaning for only $200 and had three ladies that showed up to clean it. I only got one girl to clean our 2800 square foot house and didn't even get all the rooms cleaned. Feeling robbed! read more

Well this was one of the worst cleaning experiences I have ever had. We booked this company for a move out clean + a one room carpet cleaning at high prices. They were set to arrive at 10am to complete services. I booked early because I am moving cross country and need to start my drive. Cleaners arrived at 10am not prepared to do the carpet clean. They said they did not know about it even though the day previous we had contacted the company to verify that they knew about the carpet clean. We were told on the call that they would arrive at 10am. The dispatcher told me that the carpet cleaning crew would be here later, at 1pm. Well, now its 2pm and no one is here plus the company cannot even give an ETA somehow? The clean itself, was less than average. I had to vacuum again after the cleaners left because they used a budget consumer grade vacuum that left virtually everything on the carpets. Then, I had to clean baseboards throughout home because they were not touched. If it wasn't for the lack of service and being 4 hours+ late, I would have probably given the clean a 3, however, there seems to be no way to contact anyone that knows anything. I would have loved to pick another company to fulfill these services but its too late now. read more

Crooks! They charged me the day before they were scheduled to come clean for the first time. On the day of, they didn't call to let me know they were running late. After an hour, I called and they were still 30+ minutes from coming. That didn't work with my schedule any more, so I cancelled service. I also cancelled further services. They charged me again the following month and didn't show. It has been absolutely awful trying to get someone to help me get a refund. The lied to me repeatedly saying the refunded me, but after 6 months, I still haven't gotten my $475 back. I had to call my bank and report a fraudulent charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will just take your money! read more

The two people who showed up came to work! We left the house and when we came back we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of work that had been done. Not only did they clean; They made the bed, cleaned the coffee maker, organized some of the random things left out that didn't have a home. On top of that they were in and out in just under 2 hours. The house smells clean and I'm happy. read more

They've been doing an excellent job. Scheduled them to come weekly now. All their maids have been super nice and easy to work with. I'd recommend them. read more

The service, when provided, is adequate. The issue is that they take your money the day before they show up. When the person does not show up, try getting your money back! I had service scheduled for Jan. 30. I was apprised that the person coming had an emergency and would not come. No one did. They sent an email asking me to rate the service! It never happened. I am still trying to get back the payment they took. Sometimes they come, sometimes they don't, sometimes they let you know. Always they take the money. read more

Great! Great! Great! Worth every penny! The two ladies that came out today (our first service - deep cleaning) were incredible! Top to bottom, our house is spotless, all 2,800 square feet of it. They were very thorough. I did pay extra for the oven and fridge to be cleaned. Worth it. Please note this is a formal business; not a mom and pop or single person cleaning service. There is a price for the cleaning, taxes and processing fees - which is charged the evening BEFORE your service. They said it was a hold, but it still comes out of your account. Taxes and fees are part of doing business in Texas for cleaning and janitorial services per the Texas Comptroller. Look it up if you need to, I did! Overall, we are thrilled with the service we received. Thank you! read more

UPDATE 2/5/21: In response, Adam-the-GM says I have the wrong business. He said the same thing in Luke B's 12/1/21 review--read it. SEE ATTACHED IMAGE OF ADAM'S EMAIL TO ME. (Jacob's response that said I had the wrong business is gone, possibly because I posted an image of a text from him.) . Why all of the lies? The email says he returned some of the money--he didn't. The bank, Adam, and I know this. What use are lies? I have images of all of our written communication--everything--and have sent those to the bank's dispute department. Frankly, I hope the bank's fraud department considers TCS important enough to go after. . READ OTHER REVIEWS--the words, not the stars--including "48 other reviews that are not currently recommended" . . . UPDATED AGAIN: Jacob A says I have the wrong business.  He knew me on December 21 of last year (his picture is even the same). That date is in the attached image from a Yelp text we exchanged then. . Be sure to read other reviews. He's said that before. See response to Luke B's review from 11/20/21, for example. Read the reviews, not the stars. . . . UPDATE: I opened a DISPUTE with MY BANK. Texas Cleaning Services is STILL BILLING MY CREDIT CARD! As of Jan 5, they OVERCHARGED my credit card $595.24. Me, I think this is really shady. I don't know if they intend to commit fraud. I imagine most people just walk away and take the loss. . . . FIRST POST, AMENDED: I scheduled a regular clean and agreed to a deep clean when I spoke with them. I got a basic cleaning. I was told they'd make up for it next time. Next time, they weren't prepared for the cleaning, so they left (I tipped them anyway). I gave them two more tries. I got a good basic cleaning each time. I think they do not train the cleaners to perform the tasks listed (even though the website says they do). That's not the cleaners' fault. . Then the charges started coming through. . I have had 3 regular cleans (they never did a deep clean). I was quoted $168.30 for my whole house (and they don't have to clean three of the bedrooms). . $921.84 = total billed against my bank card $504.9 = what I agree to ($168.3 * 3) $416.94 = TOTAL OVERCHARGE . I have asked about this overcharge, and they offered a partial refund. Seriously? Um--not acceptable. They really never got serious about the issue until I posted my review. . Finally they sent a "receipt" for a full refund, which the bank never received. I followed up, and TCS hasn't responded. Needless to say, I'll be filing a claim against this business and will not be using them again. BEWARE: THEY MAY OVERCHARGE YOU, AND THEY DON'T DELIVER WHAT WAS AGREED UPON. read more

My husband hired this company to come out and they sent 1 person who was awesome but was supposed to only do a "standard clean" plus an oven. On the initial phone call he quoted one price of $160 but then he charged my card $312.90 and set it up for reoccurring charges. Seriously for 4 hours! My house is pretty clean regardless because I am a person that likes to clean before the cleaning service comes in. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE and don't give them your credit card to make charges!!! I feel completely scammed and now will have to deal with fraudulent charges. Update: Jacob made it right when my husband talked to him. Not sure why we were overcharged but my house was clean and he made it right with us in the end so I am grateful. If we would have been charged correctly this review would have been a 5 star. read more

The worst cleaning job I've ever had for a very steep price. They Sent one person who couldn't speak any English and was unable to communicate. I need a move-in cleaning service for my new home. I requested quotes on Yelp and after the comparisons, I decided to use this one.

Horrible! They stole our money! We scheduled in advance for a move-out cleaning. They canceled last minute - left me stuck the day before I was to hand over the keys to the new homeowners. I spent hours that day desperately looking for a last-minute cleaning service after they left us hanging. The worst part of it is that several months later I am STILL TRYING TO GET MY REFUND!!! We paid $379.95 in September and still no refund! This is the worst experience I've had with any business ever! No one should risk their time or money dealing with this place! I can't believe after several months I am still dealing with this! It is inexcusable and they cannot be trusted! Their phone number now says it's not in service, and they aren't responding to my emails. I be submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! This is their last chance to give us our refund before I seek legal action! Hey Jacob, in response to your phony response to my comment - you posted a lie for everyone to see. Check the email address you sent - you will see my emails are there! My last name starts with an M - Yelp displayed that incorrectly as an H - but hey, is that really the reason you laim this isn't the right business? Why isnt anyone responding to my emails? This is the correct business - you guys stole my money and never provided any service. Why are you insisting upon making this so difficult? I even posted comments on your Facebook page and sent a Facebook direct message, I am trying every channel just to get an answer about my refund - and you guys are ignoring it. Do the right thing and give me my refund. I'm not going to let this rest until I have my refund. I saw that there was another customer who left a Google review that went thru the same situation where you lied about the refund! The result was good, and the cleaning ladies are nice and very experienced. All in all, I hope TCS may have good business in the future. It is a very special period of time, too many jobs but very few labors available on the market! The company Is trying to get as much jobs as possible. We have received HORRIBLE service from this company. I am not sure how there are ANY 5 star reviews, as their company reputation does not match on their better business bureau page and on their Yelp page: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/austin/profile/cleaning-services/texas-cleaning-services-0825-1000189991 Like SO many others have said on there and even on here, my husband and I payed $350 for a move out clean. Long story short, our house wasn't cleaned. The floors weren't vacuumed/ mopped, counters weren't wiped, basically our house was untouched. As a result, we had to go back to the house and reclean the night before the new buyers came. Now, we provided pictures and videos to show the aftermath, but the most frustrating part of this whole process has been trying to get in touch with the general manager Adam and have this situation resolved. We were promised a refund over 10 days ago, and have YET to receive it. Conveniently, every time we try to call the office, our call is ignored and when it is answered, Adam is "not in the office." We received a text from Adam stating we would receive a refund, but again, we have not received anything and Adam will not return our calls or texts. ***If you filter through the 1 star reviews on here and check the reviews on BBB, you will see there are many similar stories. I will say it is quite strange how after every 1 star review, there is an immediate 5 star review after. !!!SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND TIME AND BOOK LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!!!!! I originally gave this a one star review. Jacob however was extremely helpful and understanding. I left a review and within a hour he had already gotten back to me. He was very helpful and quick to get the issue resolved!!!i am very satisfied with the way he handled things to make the situation right. I will definitely continue to use their services and I highly highly recommend Julian and Ilds they are an amazing team!!! I am however still going to leave my original experience up here so y'all know how good of a company that are with fixing g there mistakes.....................I have been going through this company since the day I moved into my new home. They have been amazing up until today. The people I normally have come out to My Home could not come out due to a family emergency for the last couple of days which is totally understandable. So instead they send this woman out who's name is HEATHER SMITH Who also works for their company. I was suppose to get Basic cleaning done witch is vacuuming wiping down flat surfaces dusting etc. when it came to dusting there were several spots she missed in the living room/dining room every ceiling fan and shelving units. I politely pointed them out and she got very upset with me and told me that she would not go back to fix it, at that point I had to call the company and speak to the boss in order for her to listen in for things to be done right. Things started to go a little better at that point until she started using nothing but straight vinegar to clean the house with which is very overpowering in smell. I asked her please not to use straight vinegar and if she didn't have anything else I would supply her with other supplies it was burning my throat and giving me a severe headache it just smelt absolutely horrible. I approach her and politely asked her at that point about not using it because I already asked her when she first came she got mad and very defensive once again. I highly would not recommend Heather Smith to come clean your house you should have anybody sent out other than her and to top it off she also broke my Cooke jar and told be to glue it back together!! It was not the fact that she broke it, it was the comet.Last but not least she moves every thing and dose not put nothing back she leaves it for you to do. It was just a nightmare. There are many more pics I could add but I'm sure y'all get the point. read more
