Had my wifes car in after her car was rearended, they did a wonderful job. They stayed on top of the insurance and kept us informed on what was going on. Had my coolant leak after getting my vehicle back from the shop. I was in a minor fender bender and the radiator was replaced, Robert kept trying to pawn it off on the head gasket leaking had my normal mechanic look at it they pressurized the system and cleaned all the engine compartment to pinpoint the problem they said its not the damn head gasket. They followed it back to a line to the water pump. Now Robert is saying its not going to be covered, even though he doesn't even work for the damn insurance company or does he as their "preferred body shop" never again wont ever use them again. Hope the owner of this company sees this and realizes that now that his workers work for progressive not for Texas body and frame and definitely not for the customers. read more

Horrible service by their manager, employees seem nice but overall would not recommend taking your car here. Had my car for over a month, was not finished, picked up after a month, while waiting for parts then received call to bring my car back in to finish and would only take 30 mins. Arrived at 4:30 on friday (they close at 6pm) and the manager refused to help me. The employees then said we can get it done and eventually got it fixed but someone scratched my driver's side door handle. Absolutely the worst body shop in town. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. I have advised Progressive to remove them from their list as well. read more

Took over a month for me to receive my car back and received terrible customer service from Robert Tarr. I don't know how he became a general manager when he can't even treat his customers with respect. He is extremely abrasive and rude. Progressive insurance recommended this body, but I would highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

These guys are awesome. They've fixed 3 cars for us over the years, all for different issues. Most recently, they fixed hail damage and damage from an accident, on the same car. They had to deal with 1 insurance company about the hail damage and another for the accident damage. I'm sure that could not have been an easy thing. They do a wonderful job and kept us informed on the progress. We will definitely take our vehicles to them any time there's damage to be fixed. read more

UPDATE: About a month after we received our car back from this place, the trim is pulling away in several spots. We have yet to decide how to resolve this issue since we had such difficulty with them on the initial repair. The car rental issue was resolved, after several phone calls from us directly to the rental agency. After all the issues we had with this business, all I can say is in our case, they were unprofessional and haphazard. I will readily admit not knowing much about car repair. However, I do know about good customer service and the trust people place in truth and a business' word. We were advised a repair would take 4 days. Four. 4 days. (Any kid who watches Sesame Street can tell you how many four is) It took 25 days. Twenty five. During that time, we tracked where our vehicle was, how often it was driven (or just sat in the back lot), how long it sat merely idling, where it was parked, etc. (Ain't technology grand?) Needless to say, we were given several stories as far as why it was taking so long. First, we had to wait on parts to come in. Ok. That's understandable. But two weeks with zero updates from the business and almost zero car movement? Try again. The beginning of week three brought an actual phone call. From us. We were told it was going to be painted that afternoon. (So excited!) And it should be ready the next day....nope! We called the next day and we're told it was still being repaired by someone else. A few more days, and we were told someone in the shop had a personal issue and we were put off again. Someone went in and rushed to finish our vehicle on a holiday. Our car sure was moving around a lot those last couple of days compared to the previous three weeks... We are still in limbo over a car rental bill due to this company's foot dragging and runaround. The repair seems ok so far, but time will tell. Our main issue was with 4 days= over 3 weeks and into a 4th week, the lack of communication and the differing stories we were told. (They did work well with the insurance company getting the repair covered.) read more

Only use these guys if your not in a hurry. They say your vehicle will be ready in two weeks and it takes three. They also will never give you a curtsy call letting you know they will not have your vehicle done on time. read more

I'm a veteran and was referred to them by usaa for a car repair, they had car for 1 month only to NOT fix the issue, they charged me for installing a part they left im my seat, and when i let them know about it they took the part back but still charged me and told me i didnt have to ever do business with them again. They are horrible and you should avoid texas body and frame at all cost!!! read more

Progressive insisted that I take my truck to this place and I did but they did a poor job. It took 35 days to fix and when I received my truck it still had dents in it and they overlooked the fact that the fuel tank was busted. Now progressive will not cover a car rental because this place took repairs over the 30 day cap for a claim, and they didn't fully repair my vehicle. Now I'm stuck paying out of pocket for a rental while another place repairs. I do not recommend. read more

I had an employee damage the front grill guard, driver side steering arm, front bumper, and front driver quarter panel. My insurance recommended Texas Body and Frame. This was the first time I had ever used this place. First off, they had my truck for over three weeks and each week told me it would be ready that Friday or the following Tuesday. Never happened. I finally got the truck back at the end of the fourth week. My employee picked up the truck and noticed that the grill guard still had scratches on it, however, they charged my insurance for a new grill guard. When I asked about it, they said someone from my company told them to take it to Accessory Depot and THEY must have put on a damaged grill guard. The real explanation is they bent the original and tried to paint it, and made up the story about Accessory Depot. (BTW they charged $800 for a grill that is $400 installed.) They finally contacted me saying that they would send it to Fleet Accessories (which is where the original grill guard was purchased) the following Monday to have a new grill guard put on and it would only take half a day. I dropped the truck off Monday at 8am, called at 2pm and they said it would be done and back from Fleet at 5pm. So, 4:45pm Monday rolled around and Texas Body and Frame called to say the Fleet still had the truck and it would be ready in the morning and they can't believe it wasn't done and were very upset with Fleet. Tuesday at lunch they call the say the truck is ready. I go to pick it up and it is still the same grill guard with a new paint job over the scratches. I called Fleet Accessories and they had never heard anything from Texas Body and Frame and have not had my truck in at all. HORRIBLE LYING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never take any of my other work or personal vehicles to this place. HORRIBLE!!!!! read more
