After the management got involved they began to make good on every promise they made to my Wife and I. Problem after problem was corrected and they proved that they take "Customer Service" seriously. Keep in mind, they did NOT sell us this car. They provided a great example of "Service After The Sale." Complete waste of time. - The good: Nothing. -The bad: My experience had nothing to do with buying a car. But I'd imagine it would've been the same experience based on the complete disrespect I received selling a car. I made sure multiple times before I came in that I was stern on a price I wanted to sell my car at. I sent them accurate descriptions. In other words, there were no surprise gimmicks about the car I was selling. I got the commitment and I showed up. Long story short, they made me wait 1.5 hours only to low ball me. This is why I was so adamant about the details before I showed up. I suppose this is one of the reasons why used car dealerships have a bad reputation. Purchased a BMW X6 from this dealership and the night I leave the lot the check engine light comes on (drivetrain malfunction) I took it back to the dealer and so they could fix it and they couldn't find what's wrong. Then they wanted me to rent a car from enterprise and they didn't have any cars to rent. They said they would call me when they had some availability to fix it, they never did. So I drove back to have them check it out and got the same run around and then they tell me there's nothing they can do because I've been driving the vehicle for so long. The next time I show up they changed maintenance management, he found the notes in the system, and said he would call me back when they had availability to look at my car. Still no response. So now I'm stuck with the issue. This was by far the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I hope this helps someone. read more

DecidEd to take a look at another vehicle, I waited for them to get the keys only for them to come back and tell me that vehicle was sold as well. No apologies nothing. I bought a 2013 Audi Q7 here. Nothing but problems since day one. I picked it up when it was dark and raining so did not notice the major scratches on the windscreen from somebody running the wiper without a wiper attached. Strike one. Yes, they replaced the glass but did damage to the paint on the edge of the windscreen in the process. Airbag light came on. Went back. Reset. Back on again. Strike two. Drove kinda unstable. I assumed during their "100 point inspection" they might have inflated tires to proper pressure. All we're at 20 psi??!! Their excuse: oh they deflate the tires when it goes on the truck for transport. We'll REINFLATE THEM on arrival. Was driving sluggish. Checked spark plugs. They looking like the originals. All burned up. Nice inspection! What strike are we at? I lost count... AC airflow was really low and car barely cooled. Checked the air filter under the glove box. When I opened the compartment so much dirt, dust, leaves fell out it looked like a bird had built a nest. Guess they missed that inspection item too. Windshield wipers were dried up and brittle. One might think this $10 item might have been replaced as a courtesy. Nope. Engine started leaking oil next. Bad gasket at a cost of $1600. Found bad tension pulley in that process. Another $400. Strike?? Engine was vibrating badly. Engine mounts were completely worn out. Another $1800. Now the car won't start at all. Dead. Went into some kind of safe mode. The key fob is not communicating with the security system. Audi North's solution is to replace the entire steering column at a cost of $6000. My mechanic figured out it needed a new battery. At least that was only $300. So. THEIR INSPECTION IS A JOKE. They sold me a car that had many issues they could have found during a real inspection. I have a 2008 Mercedes GL that runs better than this 2013 Audi because it has been maintained. Yes, one takes a risk buying a used car. But I have purchased many used cars in my life time from dealers who did an honest inspection. Texas Auto North did not. Do an independent pre buy inspection before buying any used car. They sold me a piece of junk that looked pretty good but is a lemon! I asked them to take this car back. No reply of course. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! read more

I was helping a friend buy a Chrysler 300 and found one online at Texas North. I called in looking for a "car guy" to help me with a 300 they had on their lot. David, the salesman was kind enough to go out and video the car for me and lend his expertise to the evaluation of the car. He said he had been in the business for a very long time and even use to be in the body shop business. He stressed how honest he was every time he had the opportunity. Everything seemed to check out and we managed to work a deal after agreeing to pay "full boat" for the car. They did manage to take off the $900 in BS fees they slap on to the top price of the car. So, we ship the car up to my friend near Philadelphia, he gets in the car and the first thing he sees is this huge flaw in the dash, where the leather is all pulled away from dash. Ugly ugly ugly to say the least. I had SPECIFICALLY asked him if there were any tears, rip or imperfections in the interior. NO was his answer. Now my friend is going to probably have to spent $500-$1000 to get this professionally fixed. I called them and simply asked them to give us $200 back to partially pay for the repair. Their answer "NO". This guy David, all he does is tell you how honest he is.. he says it over and over and over again. He's not honest and you can tell in the video that he went by that area in the video purposely very fast so your eye wouldn't catch it and when he made a second pass back that way he completely pulled the camera down and away from that dash so you couldn't see it. I mean, this is the most glaring thing you see when you get into the car, it stares you right in the face as it is right in the middle of the dash!!!! See the pictures attached. I typically don't write reviews but I just had to. Punctuality and a sense of urgency is absent from this place. Just overall did not feel great buying a vehicle from here, but unfortunately it was what I was looking for. Although some of the people within the dealership were nice, it was a sluggish and drawn-out process. Even still I have not been delivered my car and there is no sense of haste for their customers. Complete waste of time, and lack of basic customer service. Asked about a 2015 challenger they had advertised as "coming in, reserve now"! Talked to a guy named Bobby who told me "come on in vehicle is getting detailed as we speak"! Came into the dealership and Bobby was busy so he handed me off to another shady looking sales rep? I don't even think he was in sales he seemed lost and confused. I brought in my truck to get a trade in value, to which he grabbed my keys and drove it around the dealer lot. Shady employee tells me they will look at it, as I observed nobody ever looked at the vehicle, inspected, looked at mileage, nothing. Instead the "appraiser" grabbed the keys from the shady employee and walked into his office while I waited another 15-30 minutes. Only to over hear Bobby and the shady employee being told and discussing that the 2015 challenger has been gone for while now. Afterwards instead of being honest about their oversight, the shady employee approached me and offered $25,000!! A complete low ball offer even by KBB standards. I mentioned to him how maybe he should start with the fact that they never even had the car the advertised or promised to have. I just wanted to leave at this point for being lied to and had to demand my keys back from the shady employee. Shady employee then grabs my personal cell number from Bobby and began to harass and text me trying to instigate and argument/fight even after demanding that he stops texting me. Alerted manager probably to no avail. Bottom line, Shady business, shady employees, who will LIE, waste your time, and completely low ball trade-ins and over price used vehicles. $39,000 for a 2015 with 65k miles lol. I had originally given a 5 star but had an issue with my backup camera. They have a 3 month 3 thousand mile warranty which you need to bring the vehicle back to them to look at. They said they fixed the camera before I bought it. It worked for about a month and then it scrambled and you couldn't see from the camera. No biggie the camera has an issue, they're only a hundred dollars, texted Jordan multiple times and sent him a picture and got no response. Happy with the truck, not happy with being ignored. I know it would be my issue since I'm in Arizona and they're in Texas, but it was an issue before I purchased so I thought they should have manned up and sent me a camera and I would have installed it. I am a honest hard working guy. I always try to be fair in my dealings with my family, friends, customers alike. Texas Auto North does not play fair. The worst truck buying experience to date.... I was buying remotely hoping for honest used car dealers. I should have known......... It started with the bait and switch, Bobby said to hold the truck I wanted, I needed to put money down, I put $500 down on the truck I wanted, a few days later the truck was sold to someone else but like other have written about, they had another truck (just like it) to replace the truck they sold out from under me. At this point I was upset and asked what did I put a deposit on then?? All Bobby could come up with is sorry. After asking extensive questions about the condition of this other truck I was told it had a small ding but all was good. I agreed to buy the substitute truck and they extended a "curtesy" by discounting the substitute truck $1000 for the hassle of selling the other one I put the deposit on. This was nice but far from what the damages I have incurred have costed me. Fair price for the truck $30150 on KBB I paid $33,500 after the $1000 off thinking this was a solid truck and that these guys certify there mechanics check them out. They must have a blind and def one doing the certifying. The truck was delivered to Austin Texas. First thing I notice are the rear tires are bald, not like the pictures and the rest I will list so as not to write a novel: - Fog lights had been removed unlike the pictures they sent me. - Front tires dry rotted, new tires $1800 - Check engine light on - DEF sensor and tank needs replacing $700 - No floor mats - Only on key for the truck - Smokers truck - smells like hell - Mileage 3800 over what was quoted?? Is this legal? After replacing tires I figured out these jewels: Front passenger wheel bearing gone (this can really kill someone) $700 After replacing bearing steering was clicking and: Tie rod replacement $400 Drag arm worn and replaced $450 Breaks less than 10 percent - luckily I'm a mechanic by night so I will replace for cheap but I was quoted $500 After all this fun Mike M. the manager has been so helpful and responsive (not) I have called at least 10 times only to be put on hold for 20 mins and then hung up on because the knew that they screwed me and they have been trying to get rid of me. He did call and offer $400, very little margin on this one? a joke? I know what the trucks worth and I know you gave someone crumbs on a trade in. I said I would settle for half of the tire cost (trying to be nice and get this over with) and he said he would call the owner and get right back to me................................. still waiting, that was until I found all the other problems. I have contacted a lawyer and am considering action but do I really want to waste more time on these guys? Moral of the story, used car dealer should never be trusted, especially this one. I purchased a car from them and was told to bring my car back to finish the paperwork and get it detailed. I asked if gas would be included in the deal since the car I traded had a FULL tank when I gave it to them. When I got my car back they said we put $20 in the tank, GEE THANKS. I had to make an entire trip back to finish paperwork and you can't even fill the tank??? When I got in it the only difference I could tell in the car was that the sticker residue was no longer on the front windshield. The dash had not been cleaned, no surfaces had been wiped down, there is still some sticky liquid in one of the cup holders and still some dusty areas in the back third row. I guess my idea of detail is vastly different than theirs. Also, BEWARE of the additional $300 charge for "Theft Protected VIN Etching" that no one tells you about up front. They just try to sneak it in under the TTL charges and hope you don't notice. Very disappointing. When you buy a car it should be a great feeling. While I love the car I purchased, Texas Auto North did not give me that and I feel that I was a very easy customer given that I came in drove ONE car and purchased it. They spent almost zero resources on my sale. I am just disappointed in their customer service all around. =( read more

Buyer beware. I purchased a car from them. 2 hrs after driving off the lot, the car overheated and left me stranded. Texas Auto gave me the run around for three weeks. I left messages for the GM (Scott Hensley). He would not call me back. When I finally did get him on the phone, he advised me that the car was sold "as is". As a used car buyer, the consumer has no protection. Laws designed to protect the consumer like the lemon law or the three day rule which allows you to return anything within three days of the purchase, specifically excluded used cars as long as the car is sold "as is". My experience here was a positive one. I was in the market for a specific car. They had one on the lot and it's condition was as advertised which can't be said for cars at other dealerships I visited. Dee was my salesman and he was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, easy to work with and stayed with me from test drive through the final sale. It's not a huge mega dealership like a major manufacturer showroom, but I was treated professionally from start to finish and ended up with exactly the car I was looking for at exactly the price I was looking to pay. I visited this location after a quick google as I was on the market for a used car. Initially I was very impressed with the reviews they posted on their website. My intention was to come in one evening and drive out with the car of my choice that same visit. After perusing their floor, I settled on a white 2016 GMC Yukon XL with 70k+ miles on it. In the end I paid a little more than I should have but I justified it by thinking I had gotten what I wanted. I was wrong. The sales rep, who was very polite, told me the car was guaranteed as-is no issues and I confirmed this on Carfax. He sold me a bumper-to-bumper aftermarket protection plan in addition just for my peace of mind. Here's where it gets interesting. Shortly after driving the car off the lot, I discovered an issue with the paint and decided to take it in to a mechanic for a quote. My mechanic informed me that this car had been previously damaged and repaired to a large extent, specifically regarding the brakes and body. This directly contradicts what I was told at the dealership. Now I'm worried. So I call the dealer asking them to check it out and fix the paint, and I'm told via voicemail that neither the guarantee nor my protection plan covers these issues! This is my nightmare experience. I was lied to multiple times, only to discover the peace of mind I had paid for is useless. I strongly urge any potential customers to reconsider this business. read more

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. I live in Atlanta, GA and found a 2015 Tahoe at their dealership I could afford for $22,000. I spoke to a salesman, David Melendez, who made me a trade in offer of $41,000 for my Jeep Gladiator (That I owed $21000 on) but insisted that it would be worth it as the trade in would cover all of my state ad valorem and registration taxes. After speaking with David on a few occasions I asked if the vehicle was in good enough condition to make the 1,000 mile drive home since the finance department was telling me I had to sign all the paperwork before I could even be told I could come see the vehicle. David assured me that "all of our vehicles get a thorough 98 point inspection and any issues would be addressed". Against my better judgement I signed the contract and mailed it back to them. Days went by and I had taken time off from work the next week to make my trip. Well, that time came and they said they didn't know when my vehicle would be ready for pickup. I started my journey to Texas regardless on 07/06/2021 as I was starting to get a bad feeling about the deal. Thankfully they let me pick it up when I arrived two days later, but I was immediately taken aback by Davids misleading information about the inspection. During my initial walkaround I observed two tires that were so dry rotted the cracks had extended to the sidewall and the tread was so low I wouldnt trust them to make it out of the city. The only response I got when I raised my concerns was "Theres a discount tire down the street, you own the vehicle and unfortunately we cant add an IOU for tires after the deal is done." Shocked and angry I just wanted this awful experience to end so I took the keys to my new-to-me vehicle and began my trip home. I made it around 12 miles on the freeway in Houston before I was left stranded by a blown out tire. Thankfully it had a spare but now I was concerned about the remaining 988 miles to home. Reluctantly, I went to the nearest Discount Tire and had two tires put on to replace the bald, dry rotted garbage that apparently passed their "thorough 98 point inspection" at an out of pocket cost of nearly $600. I wish I could say the negative experience ended there but I would be lying. As I am typing this (09/15/2021) my title is STILL sitting in their dealership. The temp tag they gave me has been expired for 3 weeks and now I cant even drive the vehicle I own due to it not being legal to operate with expired registration. I made contact with the dealership numerous times in the past months and they are saying "we will send your title directly to you now". I was happy with this solution at first until I was told that I would be responsible for paying my Ad Valorem taxes and registration fees (nearly $1,700 in Georgia for my vehicle including the late fees that have been accrued due to the sheer incompetence of the former finance manager). Keep in mind the whole selling point for me in this deal was that David Melendez ASSURED me the vehicle was in excellent condition and that my trade in would cover any taxes with a trade in tax allowance. The only shining light in this horrible deal has been a new finance manager named Yolanda. She has made every effort to help me and correct the situation, but even then the dealerships management is failing her. It is now mid September, my title is not in my hand, I am out of pocket for multiple expenses to fix a vehicle that was supposedly inspected and have no end in sight. I am flat out giving this place a 5 star review for a few reasons. When people say "Happy wife = happy life," that is no joke. My wife and I just celebrated our 15th anniversary. Two kids later that are pre-teens and no longer require the Mrs. to roll in a minivan somehow leave her with a fervent desire to own a BMW convertible (was her favorite car before she went all-out minivan mom squad). She works hard and has been a great mom but pretty much fell in love with this car on their website right before the big 15th anniversary. She also had expressed a desire to go to Vegas and have some variation of Elvis perform as we renewed our vows dressed in some questionable attire to the sounds of the Hawaiian Wedding Song. So...I felt that perhaps trying for the convertible might be preferable to a ton of pelvic thrusts alongside "Elvis" at the Chapel of Love. Aside from marrying her, that was one of my better decisions. The salesperson we spoke with was very helpful and happy to answer any questions I had thoroughly and also promptly. Sometimes a trade-in takes awhile, and she came in early to help complete paperwork so that I could make a work mtg and still have this ready for my wife. Fast forward a few days later. Brooke was a rock star at my pleas to place the Elvis dancing figurine thing on the dashboard and pull the car to the front of the dealership with a real big bow on it. Not only great customer service, but great value and vehicle quality. I don't see this level of customer care often these days so this definitely stood out to me. Also- wife was thrilled and I was happy seeing her happy. To be candid, I also was happy not to have to wear a lei and grind to Elvis tunes in the Chapel of Love and also to be able to buy Texans season tickets again. I would say Texas Auto is a win-win. ***BUYER BEWARE*** I spent all day working a deal on a reasonably priced car. Once they run your credit EVERYTHING CHANGES. $5000 in dealer fees for ceramic coating, GPS? Naturally, none of this is disclosed prior to the finance manager meeting, and then they will try and negotiate you down. All of this was a headache from the beginning. I didn't ask for a penny off the price of the car, or a penny more for my trade in. From the get-go, it was bait and switch. Redirecting questions, mischaracterizing information. I have bought many cars; this was by and far the worst. This is a practice called Auto Dealer FRAUD. When a dealer with holds or mischaracterizes information regarding a vehicle that they know, or should know, will affect the desirability or the value of a car. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this place. Everything about this was the typical, sketchy, used car salesman vibe, coupled with borderline illegal sales practices, finance managers trying to sneak in warranties and gap...GAP with 12k down...I cant warn you enough to find somewhere else to go. If I could give no stars I would! Bought a 2012 Audi A6 in late September. The car had right at 60,000 miles and we thought it was a good deal. When we purchased the car the sales person said he would go fill the tank for us. Cool. Well we drive off and get home and noticed the tank was around 1/2 a tank. Ok, we found it weird that he wouldn't do something as simple as filling the gas up as he said he would, but no big deal. Until the next day my wife had her boss in the car seeing customers and when she stopped to get gas the gas door wouldn't open. Oh, that's why he didn't fill the tank! Well she had to rush to an Audi dealership to fix it. Btw, the entire door and latch had to be replaced $500! Just be honest. Then we had oil leaking in our garage about 1 1/2 month later so we took it back to the Audi dealership and they said it was several leaks that needed repairing, $750. Then December came and all hell broke loose. The car's engine stopped firing and the mechanic said it would be $15000+ for a total new engine. We stopped by Texas Auto and spoke Shawn Beckwith on Wednesday December 27 to see if it was anything they could help us with. He said he would call us within 24 hours....it is January 4th and we still haven't received a call. I've called 3 times and left messages, no response. We understood this is a used car and we might have some repairs, but with only 60k + miles and to need a new engine is a bit much. Even if they could do nothing, call back and let us know that.
