The shop is run by a husband a wife team Dave and Jackie. He does the mechanical stuff and she does the office stuff. So my car had been stalling out on me and I finally decided to take it in on my way to work. He said I needed a tune up, which I had been putting off long before rolling over 150k. They got to it right away and it was ready that afternoon. In the office picking it up, Dave was going over what he did as Jackie was processing my payment. He told me he did this, and that, and said he was going to put a bottle of fuel cleaner into the gas tank, but saw I was only at half a tank and recommended I do in next time I fill up. Jackie interrupts saying that she thought he did put in the bottle and has already changed me the ~$15 for it. No worries, he'll go back to the shop and get me a bottle to use later. Only when he comes back he realizes they don't have any in stock. So then he pulls $20 out of his wallet and gives it to me to buy a bottle later. Yup, he gave me $20 out of his own wallet. I was floored. Talk about an honest mechanic. It is this interaction and the others in the past that will keep me coming back to RK Automotive. Highly recommend.
