    FULL EXPLANATION IN PHOTOS. Whatever you do, I would not recommend to come here for anything. To start, I would like to add that I work in auto claims and I am 100% familiar with auto process. I originally purchased my vehicle from Texan Hyundai in December 2023. I should've known that this dealership was a shit show, as after I pulled off the lot the night I purchased, and the vehicle tracker was still attached to the keys. Months went by after I purchased my vehicle, and I noticed the date on the temp tags were expired. I called the dealership to get an update on where my plates were, and they said that they have been at the dealership for weeks now, but there are no notes on my account from the car salesman, with attempts to reach out to me to advise that they have arrived (as i was told he would). I returned the tracker to my salesman when i picked up my plates, and he had no idea he left the tracker on the keys. I have taken my vehicle in these past Few years for numerous recalls and never have experienced such service as today. Saturday morning of December 27, 2025 I went into the service department to inquire on a few items that were included under my extended warranty package i purchased with the vehicle. I brought my vehicle in at 91,000 miles, 9000 miles shy of the expiration of the extended warranty. Erickson Castro a.k.a. Eric Castro, advised me to schedule an appointment for Monday December 29 2025 at 1p for a diagnostic to be conducted, and for my vehicle to be serviced as they were busy on Saturday. Today I came in at my appointment time dropped off my vehicle as advised. Erickson told me that the entire process takes about 3 to 4 hours, and he for sure will give me a call back before 4 PM to let me know the status on approval or denial of the warranty claim from the extended warranty company. Erickson advised that if EVERYTHING were to be denied by the warranty company, that I would have $195 service fee for the diagnostic, but stated that that wouldnt happen as he observed, and submitted similar engine mount issues to the warranty company before and have gotten it approved. He advised me the only thing i should expect to pay was my $100 warranty deductible. I called back around 4:30, as I had heard nothing from Eric and he advised that the diagnostic had not been started and requested more time. I requested a loaner/rental so I could not disrupt other appointments and work any further, and he declined advised that they no longer provide loaner vehicles. His tone was as if he did not care at all. Due to my profession, more than a few of these steps/processes were abnormal so I went to pick up my vehicle. I calmly arrived to the service department 15 minutes after I got off the phone with Erickson, and all of the sudden the diagnostic has been completed. At first, he was advising that they were able to find evidence and get approved four out of the five concerns that I brought to their attention, and requested a tear down to provide further evidence to submit to the warranty company for approval. I advised Eriksen of my concern, and my lack of comfortability wanting to continue with the service department due to miscommunication and lack of professionalism and immediately requested the service department manager's contact information. Erickson replied requesting that I pay the $195 for his technician conducting the diagnostic. I reminded Eriksen of the $100 deductible due to my warranty, and the previous conversation we had were he said i would ONLY have to pay the $195 if EVERYTHING was denied by warranty. And of course, he began to sing a different tune and stated that nothing has been approved by the extended warranty company at this point, due to him needing to send more photos and videos using a link to the extended warranty company, which he said is another reason he needed more time. Erickson added that if I wanted to complete the warranty claim with another dealership, then they will have to run their own diagnostic.

Archie even told me to ask for Mickey, the Sales Manager. When I arrived, Mickey had no idea I was coming--he was not expecting me. Once we sat down, I was told the vehicle was actually loaned out and not even on the lot. Additionally, the vehicle had 6,000-7,000 miles on it, not the 3,000 miles advertised online or confirmed over the phone. They attempted to "make good" with another deal, but it wasn't even close to comparable. This is a textbook example of deceptive marketing and bait-and-switch tactics: lure customers in with an attractive offer, then try to sell them something more expensive. What's worse, the General Manager, who knew I was coming, did not even have the courtesy to speak to me or apologize for wasting my time. Buyers beware when dealing with this dealership in Rosenberg, Texas.

Updated to 5 stars plus Original post: I drop my Jeep off and it takes 4 days to look at. Of course it is nothing the warranty covered because they can't replicate the transmission issue. I'm not sure they even tried. How I know this is they never inspected it as they said because they didn't drive it 50 miles as they said To inspect it after a very expensive tune up. Supposedly they drove it a lot to try to replicate the transmission issues. I dropped the Jeep due to check engine light on that we thought was due to the transmission or linkage. The transmission issue isn't fixed. And my vehicle is not inspected. Also not washed like they claimed they would and 9 days later I have my Jeep back no inspection now I have to drive expired 50 miles to get an inspection.

My car's VIN: 5TDA*******076385 Extremely disappointing experience with Group 1 Toyota Fort Bend regarding a warranty claim. My vehicle's sunroof shattered while driving, with no external impact, and I brought my car to this dealership requesting root cause analysis and warranty repairs. Was told by technician that no external impact was found, which is consistent with my experience. However, dealership supposedly had to escalate the case to Toyota for authorizing warranty repairs, and came back saying "there is no defect with the sunroof, and as such, warranty cannot be honored". I opened a case with Toyota Brand Engagement, to later learn that notes submitted to Toyota by Group 1 Fort Bend dealership, attributed the damage to external impact -- which appears inconsistent with what I was told directly. Based on my experience, issue was not just the warranty denial, but the contradictory communication and lack of transparency in how my claim was handled. When a dealership tells a customer one thing and documents something materially different, it raises serious concerns about trust and fairness. I brought this in expecting an honest evaluation and support on a legitimate warranty concern, but left feeling misled and unsupported. I strongly recommend customers document every conversation, request copies of all inspection findings, and review what is being reported to the manufacturer during any warranty dispute. This one is definitely going to BBB, irrespective of what anybody tries responding to this review.
