First, it's very interesting when you are about to write an excellent review to see so many negative reviews about a business. My experience was far better than many others that have left a review for Texan Hyundai. Perhaps that's entirely down to what salesperson catches you first or if you're buying or servicing. I left a review for another local dealership that sounds an awful lot like the reviews left for Texan. Texan was far better- yes there were some hiccups as all major purchases tend to have but overall, this was an excellent experience. Mauricio Sanchez was my salesman, and he deserves recognition by name for the way he treated my family and me. Mauricio was joyful in all conversations I had with him during the process which spanned about 4 days. He was attentive, showed excitement and enthusiasm, and maintained a positive and helpful attitude. When finalizing the deal, he did what he could to move things along as efficiently as possible, including upping the value of my trade-in a little bit to match my valuation. I have seen some negative statements about the sales manager Chance, but I did not have that experience with him. Chance worked diligently to get financing close to what I had in hand (which I preferred to go in house to make the process easier). Chance and Mauricio found ways to compete with other dealers offers on a very similar vehicle. They worked to gain my business. The process with financing was a quick and efficient process. I had not purchased a car in 9 years so completing it in about an hour and doing a lot of it on an iPad that showed maintenance package and other pricing relatively easy. The overall experience I had was resoundingly positive. I hope that others will find Mauricio and enjoy a similar process that I did. read more

I had an appointment for 10 am to look at a vehicle that I confirmed with the dealership was there and available. Drove an hour and a half to find that it wasn't actually there. We looked at some other vehicles, all of which were very dirty. I even found a Pap smear test in one vehicle They tried to charge 800 dollars for tinting on a vehicle they likely didn't do. If they don't even actually clean their vehicles, I'm guessing that they bought the vehicle with the tint on it and tried to charge me for it. They also were super sketchy, changing verbiage between offers to make things look better, and trying to charge for paint protection on a used car that already had chipped paint. Overall not very professional and a huge waste of time. I found a much better dealership I bought a nicer car from for cheaper the same day. read more

I made an appointment to fix a problem for a safety recall on the trailer hitch on my Tuscon. I was told I did not need a loner as the repair would take"15 min" When I complained after waiting Over an hour, William's first comment was " I see you haven't had your car serviced here in two years" Then tried to explain that I had made my appointment on their "busy day" So the feeling I got was that buying my vehicle at Texan Hyundai was NOT enough to be considered a Valuable Customer. You Have to get all service too?!?. Well I had gone but it always took too long and always an effort to up sale more service than needed so I used a different business. I recently purchased a 2022 Kia K5 GT-Line from Texan Hyundai late February and my experience has been absolutely unprofessional and horrible to say the least. To start, I inquired about a second key for the vehicle to be made or added as a IOU and was immediately shut down by the sales manager Chance. I took a mental note of his tone and response and decided to proceed with the purchase. Within an hour of leaving the dealership, I noticed a noise coming from the glove box area whenever the A/C is on. I immediately contacted my salesman, Alex, and returned to the dealership within 30 minutes. When I arrived, no one in service was aware I was coming, and I had to track someone down myself to explain the issue again. While one of the service employees was helpful, I was told the technician needed to properly inspect the issue wasn't available and was asked to leave my car over the weekend which wasn't possible due to work. What made the experience worse was the lack of professionalism and communication from Alex the salesman & the sales management team. When I came back to the dealership, he clearly saw me walk in and didn't acknowledge me or offer any assistance. I even sent a detailed email on 03/01/2026 to the salesman, sales manager & general manager expressing my frustrations and concerns about the A/C issues & experience jaut to received NO response. After the sale, responsiveness completely dropped off & when I came in to have my vehicles A/C inspected, my salesperson nor the sales manager acknowledged my presence; instead the manager walked over to my salesman gave him my key & asked him to fill up my tank. No apologies for the inconvenience, no mention of my email & no accountability taken by the dealership. I also had ongoing issues getting information about my vehicle registration. I called multiple times in late March, early April, April 28th, and May 6th, only to be told today that my registration had supposedly been ready for three weeks which doesn't add up since I had already called to ask about it on April 28th and I was told it was not ready. I was told that I would receive a text when it became ready but the salesman on the phone stated that a phone call was made and could not even tell me what day and when. No one followed up with me, and I was brushed off. Ironically, I received more help from other sales staff than from the people directly responsible for my purchase. Overall, this experience has been disappointing & beyond unprofessional. Buying a car especially a first one should come with a level of care and communication that just wasn't there here. I'm hoping the dealership takes accountability and improves how they handle customers during & after the sale. read more

When we arrived the car is suddenly not available. They advertise super low prices to get you in the door and then none of those cars are available and try to upsell you to what is in stock. FULL EXPLANATION IN PHOTOS. Whatever you do, I would not recommend to come here for anything. To start, I would like to add that I work in auto claims and I am 100% familiar with auto process. I originally purchased my vehicle from Texan Hyundai in December 2023. I should've known that this dealership was a shit show, as after I pulled off the lot the night I purchased, and the vehicle tracker was still attached to the keys. Months went by after I purchased my vehicle, and I noticed the date on the temp tags were expired. I called the dealership to get an update on where my plates were, and they said that they have been at the dealership for weeks now, but there are no notes on my account from the car salesman, with attempts to reach out to me to advise that they have arrived (as i was told he would). I returned the tracker to my salesman when i picked up my plates, and he had no idea he left the tracker on the keys. I have taken my vehicle in these past Few years for numerous recalls and never have experienced such service as today. Saturday morning of December 27, 2025 I went into the service department to inquire on a few items that were included under my extended warranty package i purchased with the vehicle. I brought my vehicle in at 91,000 miles, 9000 miles shy of the expiration of the extended warranty. Erickson Castro a.k.a. Eric Castro, advised me to schedule an appointment for Monday December 29 2025 at 1p for a diagnostic to be conducted, and for my vehicle to be serviced as they were busy on Saturday. Today I came in at my appointment time dropped off my vehicle as advised. Erickson told me that the entire process takes about 3 to 4 hours, and he for sure will give me a call back before 4 PM to let me know the status on approval or denial of the warranty claim from the extended warranty company. Erickson advised that if EVERYTHING were to be denied by the warranty company, that I would have $195 service fee for the diagnostic, but stated that that wouldnt happen as he observed, and submitted similar engine mount issues to the warranty company before and have gotten it approved. He advised me the only thing i should expect to pay was my $100 warranty deductible. I called back around 4:30, as I had heard nothing from Eric and he advised that the diagnostic had not been started and requested more time. I requested a loaner/rental so I could not disrupt other appointments and work any further, and he declined advised that they no longer provide loaner vehicles. His tone was as if he did not care at all. Due to my profession, more than a few of these steps/processes were abnormal so I went to pick up my vehicle. I calmly arrived to the service department 15 minutes after I got off the phone with Erickson, and all of the sudden the diagnostic has been completed. At first, he was advising that they were able to find evidence and get approved four out of the five concerns that I brought to their attention, and requested a tear down to provide further evidence to submit to the warranty company for approval. I advised Eriksen of my concern, and my lack of comfortability wanting to continue with the service department due to miscommunication and lack of professionalism and immediately requested the service department manager's contact information. Erickson replied requesting that I pay the $195 for his technician conducting the diagnostic. I reminded Eriksen of the $100 deductible due to my warranty, and the previous conversation we had were he said i would ONLY have to pay the $195 if EVERYTHING was denied by warranty. And of course, he began to sing a different tune and stated that nothing has been approved by the extended warranty company at this point, due to him needing to send more photos and videos using a link to the extended warranty company, which he said is another reason he needed more time. Erickson added that if I wanted to complete the warranty claim with another dealership, then they will have to run their own diagnostic. read more

From the moment we arrived, he was super helpful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle. When we began discussing pricing, he took the time to walk us through the different options and asked about our budget--just in case the Telluride wasn't the right fit financially. What we appreciated most was how thoughtful and low-pressure he was. He had a few other suggestions that were more in line with our budget, and he never made us feel rushed or pushed into anything. The dealership tried to add nearly $40,000 in "mandatory" add-ons, misrepresented them as factory-installed, and refused to show the Monroney sticker, which is required by law. Despite confirming the online price beforehand, they wouldn't honor it and used high-pressure tactics. Multiple reviews suggest this is a recurring issue. Worse dealership for both buying and servicing. We took our car for servicing several times and the first time went well. Every time after our first visit was unacceptable. Telling us we needed filters we had just replaced, long wait times, and no updates or communications. Unfortunately the purchasing of a vehicle is worse then getting it serviced. Monday night, I seen a Jeep Wrangler on their website, and I was super excited and serious to purchase. It was specific to my liking. Come Tuesday morning, I received a call right at 9 AM when the shop opened. I explained that I would have to travel over an hour 30 (without traffic) to get to their location, if they could guarantee the car was available and if they would be able to hold it by the time I arrived later that day. She promised, explained the car was available, she would hold it, and was looking forward to seeing me. Before I arrived, I texted her my ETA. Once I arrived, the manager told me the car was no longer available- it hadn't been for a few days. I took time off of work. Gathered funds, and made sure I was ready to purchase. I drove a long distance. All so they could tell me the car was no longer available, and they had no other jeeps in the location. Assured me a car that was not on the lot was the car I wanted and tried to get me to sign for it , after we left the dealership we pulled up the Vin and the interior color was not the one they had told us it was going to be on the sheet. Our sales person made us feel like we were bothering them. They were on the phone multiple times talking to someone else dealing with multiple customers at the same time just not a good experience. Advertised a 2019 Hyundai Tuscon online for $14,995 with 72k miles on it. I contacted their online sales for an appointment on the following day. I showed up and the sales guy retreived the car. What he drove up was a 2019 Hyundai Tuscon with over 22k more miles than advertised, car was full of junk like a bum had been living in it; food wrappers, clothes, and trash strewn about. Oh, I almost forgot about the big dent in the hood. Sales guy said an employee had been demo driving it. In otherwords, driving it as a personal vehicle for 9 months or so. What a joke. There is good reason why Texan Hyundai is not part of the Better Business Bureau. They simply do not follow the Truth & Advertising law or the Deceptive Trade Practices Act . They advertise one price of a vehicle with ZERO intention of honoring that price; there are multiple complaints about their unethical advertising practices and I am adding to it. They advertised a new vehicle for $46,835 but when the buyer's agreement was presented, they had tacked on nearly $6k (SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS) in additional "protection packages". When I told them I did not want to purchase those additional "add-ons" (muchless pay interest on those packages for 4-6 years), I was told they were REQUIRED costs and they would "lose money" without those costs added in. WHAT?? Isn't this the type of unethical advertisements Americans are to be protected against? I'm very curious if they do this only to females or all of their customers. Did they do that to you? It's infuriating to spend so much time investing in researching products, contacting dealers, investigating CarFax reports and trying to find that one needle in a haystack deal, only to be swindled. I was told "nearly every dealer in Houston is advertising this way". I wrote to our TX Attorney General's office about these practices and encourage others to do the same. I did my alignment and tire balance. that was recommended service I didn't have no problems with my car. But after doing all that my steering wheel was not straight. I came back they told there is some part that needs to be changed and they will take care of it. Then ones everything was done they refused to give me any paperwork that will proof what work was done with my vehicle. Because I didn't pay for nothing so there is no receipt. And my service advisor literally told me that he don't care because he will not work there no more it has his last couple days. When I do my regular maintenance like oil change and filter I don't pay for it as well, but I always get all my paperwork. Scheduled an oil change for 10 am on 12-18-23 when we arrived we were then told it would be a 2.5 hour wait as they over book every 15 minute slot with 8 appointments. I have taken it to Hyundai of brookshire and never had any issues. Wasted all the time to drive 30 minutes away just to be treated like a walk in customer. So just know that the free oil changes Hyundai gives you are about worthless unless you don't have a job and can wait all day at the dealership. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! This has been the absolute worst car buying experience of my life. I would avoid them and especially James Teng, the sales rep. Having owned a BMW for years we had this type of service. We did buy GAP insurance and specifically asked James if we could get service at any Hyundai dealership and he said "Yes". Being that the dealer is in Richmond we wanted to be able to get service done closer to home....he said it wouldn't be a problem. They added an "accessory" fee of $2991 to the price. When we asked what that was for he said that was for all the add on warranties and service we were getting. On the way home from the dealer, the car was hit with a rock. It dinged it pretty good. Immediately James was crawfishing. They did a piss poor job of fixing the dent and paint. We emailed him for the plan specifics because it wasn't in the paperwork. He sent us a screenshot of the window sticker and explained that the $2991 was added to all sales at this dealership and they couldn't take it off. It was an added benefit. He NEVER gave us what we asked for because he's a lying piece of garbage. We needed service and called to get it done closer to our house. We were told that we didn't have any service. We called James and his story changed. He told us that the car was in demand and we paid over MSRP. He also said we didn't have the service. I called the GM and he wouldn't return my calls. They got their money so they are basically done. We called the GM, Frank Luna, and he was worse. I spoke to him in March and he said he would fix this and do right by us. He never returned my calls or emails. I have left at least 15 messages and he still won't respond. AVOID this place. Go anywhere else to buy a car. They are liars, cheats and deceitful. I was disappointed with the way I was treated here. I called to confirm the availability and pricing of some Palisades. Lexie confirmed they had 20+ Palisades on the lot and said the price was true to what the website had listed + TTL. I confirmed this twice over the phone on two different occasions that morning. We live 75 minutes from the dealership, so we decided to make the journey down based upon what Lexie said. We arrive and find a nice Palisade that we're considering purchasing. The salesman then goes back to his manager (hate the stupid games they play) and said there is a $10K market adjustment on the vehicle. I recognize that many of the dealerships are doing this on Tellurides and Palisades. Nevertheless, when the dealership confirms over the phone 2x that this is NOT the case, it's very frustrating to drive down under false pretenses. They also low balled the trade-in value on my Escalade. After one round of negotiating, they increased my trade-in value by $4K, but only reduced the market adjustment by $2K. Unfortunately, we're not interested in paying $8K over MSRP for a Palisade. The car isn't that special. So we left and it was a waste of 3 hours of our day. First off, they don't list their inventory properly. They listed a convertible 911 as a coupe with zero pictures. I inquired for pics and as soon as I realized it wasn't a coupe, I told them I wasn't interested. They have proceeded to call me several times and email me countless times after telling them I was specifically looking for a coupe manual transmission 911, not a cabriolet with auto transmission. Poor performed and super realistic sales! Left me ALONE OUTSIDE under a 100*F temperature and NEVER come back to check. I went there to check the Palisade yesterday. After I told him I'm interested in this model, and also what else brands I'm interested in, he asked me when do I buy it. I said maybe in around 2 months, I need more time to check other cars too. Then he said he would go inside and come back and just let myself to take a look first. After more than 15 mins, NOBODY showed up. So I had to go in and found another guy to find him! So come on guys, look at all the reviews, you will find similar lying stuff or complaints about this dealer and its sales every month. If you are interested in Hyundai, this place is the place you want to AVOID!!! The sales here are NOT ready to serve you, they just want to get the money out of your pockets without fulfilling their obligations. I wish the supervisor there could see this review and educate that guy about his poor performance and attitude. I am very disappointed with my visit. I came in at the beginning of January and worked with Brendon. He made me aware I was approved by three banks and told me the down payment i needed and my monthly note. We eve picked out a car. I told Brendon i would be back in 2 weeks to complete the deal. Brendon then stopped responding which was very unprofessional. But i still came back down payment in hand to close the deal just to be told the amount that Brendon gave me was incorrect and he should have never told me that lie. Raul is the other rep that referred me to Brendon and he doesn't respond either. I was just another sell to these gentlemen and you should never lie in order to close a deal. Had a very good experience with everything while shopping for a sonata until I had the misfortune of meeting with the manager. what a psycho! I mean I was questioning the 3000 dollars in add ons and the pretty high price in a very respectful way and this guy comes at me and starts berating me about how he has new cars that hes selling at msrp. (A 2024 when there are 2025s in the market is not new!!!!) Saying things like "im not tryna waste time im just selling cars." Implying of course that I am wasting time. Those things may sound a bit harmless but the way he came about it was so disgusting and aggressive it was like he was looking for a physical altercation with me. I dont usually write reviews but this guy completely blew up what wouldve been the start of a good conversation and process to get me into a car. I just feel for the initial salesman that has to work with that maniac, even he seemed thrown off by how that drama unfolded. Im just glad that altercation helped me solidify my decision to go with the camry. I wont mention names but they know who they are. I got my SUV here and a year later my son got his. It was a hassle free experience. The staff is friendly but very upfront. No trying to get more money out of you or none of that. The sales woman I had kept lying to me about the numbers . When I went and spoke to the finance department there was a different story for everything . She didn't answer her phone or return calls . I've been waiting over a month for my registration to come in . Went to the the Texas tax accessor office and they said the car hasn't even been registered yet . I am a Disabled vet and not allowed to get plates yet until the registration comes in the mail.. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL read more
