I would like to commend Group 1 Toyota SW Houston, TX for there superb assistance, professionalism and the three staff members that assisted. 1. I was introduced to Luis Guerra to find my needed vehicle that wasn't on the lot. Luis offered his assistance with no guarantees, that's all I could ask for! Within a week's time he had located the perfect truck for me! 2. Obinna Izuakor - Luis handed me off to Obi to structure my purchase, he introduced himself to my family and I the proceeded to assist. Obi further provided an unforgettable purchasing experience, all with a smile and great demeanor! Keep up the great work Obi! Remember Footprints in the Sand and the Serenity Prayer! 3. Nick the Finance Manager - We progressed to the Finance Department then called in by Mr. Nick/Mr. Finance! Nick welcomed us in with a smile, not missing a beat and seamlessly moves through our options. Personally, when I drove Toyotas, this was a pretty good service center for me, but I can't say the same for my wife. There's always something that needs fixing every 5000 miles when we get an oil change, and it has gotten quite out of hand. Price gouging from dealerships will upset anyone; a common repair like a wheel bearing costs more than a car, in my opinion. I highly recommend others learn how to fix their own cars. YouTube is a great resource; of course, you probably won't be able to fix everything, but most things you can repair yourself. These dealerships are getting out of control, even for Toyota. read more

During their services, they don't fully inspect or pay attention to detail. During oil changes they're supposed to top off basic fluids and they haven't done it when I've come in. I tried reaching out to them and they do not pick up to get assistance with refilling the fluids left low. read more

I was currently at the Toyota Group 1 Dealership and was assigned to Mr. Pius Ekiko. He came to assist us right away and the greeting was very polite, pleasant, and helpful. He pulled up the pre-information online. The wait time was not too long and very informative. We did get a good deal and a little hiccup, but all went well. I will definitely recommend. THIS IS NOW CALLED GROUP1 TOYOTA FORT BEND BEWARE POTENTIAL BUYERS OF 2026 TOYOTA GRAND HIGHLANDER HYBRID - SUNROOF SHATTERED/EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING, NO EXTERNAL IMPACT! My car's VIN: 5TDA*******076385 Extremely disappointing experience with Group 1 Toyota Fort Bend regarding a warranty claim. My vehicle's sunroof shattered while driving, with no external impact, and I brought my car to this dealership requesting root cause analysis and warranty repairs. Was told by technician that no external impact was found, which is consistent with my experience. However, dealership supposedly had to escalate the case to Toyota for authorizing warranty repairs, and came back saying "there is no defect with the sunroof, and as such, warranty cannot be honored". I opened a case with Toyota Brand Engagement, to later learn that notes submitted to Toyota by Group 1 Fort Bend dealership, attributed the damage to external impact -- which appears inconsistent with what I was told directly. Based on my experience, issue was not just the warranty denial, but the contradictory communication and lack of transparency in how my claim was handled. When a dealership tells a customer one thing and documents something materially different, it raises serious concerns about trust and fairness. I brought this in expecting an honest evaluation and support on a legitimate warranty concern, but left feeling misled and unsupported. I strongly recommend customers document every conversation, request copies of all inspection findings, and review what is being reported to the manufacturer during any warranty dispute. This one is definitely going to BBB, irrespective of what anybody tries responding to this review. read more

Sterling McCall Toyota Fort Bend has been a nightmare of an experience to purchase a vehicle from. I highly do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them. I purchased a 2013 Toyota Highlander from them for just over $13k a couple of months ago. When I bought the vehicle, the coolant was empty, but I topped it off with all the other fluids and didn't think much of it. On my drive to my 2 year anniversary vacation 500+ miles from home, the head gasket on the vehicle blew. We have only owned the vehicle a few months, and haven't even had our first oil change. Both mechanics that I had the car inspected by told me that this was 100% a preexisting condition. Sterling McCall Toyota sold me a car with an engine teetering on blowing, and they sold it "just in time." The dealership has been terrible to try and work with for a resolution. I live almost 2 hours away, making it very difficult to go in person. Their used car Sales Manager, Ryan, and their general sales manager, Patrick, have been next to IMPOSSIBLE to get on the phone. Every time I call, they are "out of office," "out at lunch (at 5pm?)" or "not working today." Out of the 14 (yes, FOURTEEN) times that I have called the dealership, I have only been able to get through to Ryan or Patrick twice. Each time has been a "I'll call you back on this day with more information" and then never calling me back. For a dealership to sell a car that is essentially a 5,000 lb paperweight and then follow it up with the worst customer service is atrocious. To Ryan and Patrick: please contact me and work with me towards a resolution. I have been without this vehicle for over 3 weeks and it is very hard on my family. I do not want to get my lawyer involved, but I will, if needed. I will also gladly take this review down if you resolve this. read more

I went to a lot of places in search of a used car and was really feeling down about my experience. I went to multiple dealerships and had cars checked at mechanics and they all had serious issues and were really expensive. Then I came here and was mind blown. Service was excellent. Fahim and Jonathan took great care of me. I bought a 2013 CRV in great condition. Mechanic I brought it to said he was impressed and it was a great price. Next time I need a car I will certainly be coming here. I love this car and I'm grateful I found it. It was spotless when I got it. It's a 12 year old car and they made sure it was perfectly clean. Mechanic said I can get another 10 years out of it. read more

My husband and I were recently in the market for a new car and this dealership happened to have a vehicle we were interested in. Thuc Vu on their team took excellent care of us from start to finish and he made the car buying process as painless as possible. We had been in discussions with many dealerships, but his responsiveness and kindness stood out from the others. Highly recommend working with him, especially if you are in the market for a new family car. Krar from the finance department was also a pleasure to work with. He was kind and had a great sense of humor, but you could tell he also cares about his customers. Again, he also made the car buying process as painless as possible. Horrible service. Walked into the dealership and not a single employee greeted me. Walked the lot to see if there was anything I like then I left and checked online to see if I could find something. Found a used Lexus RX 350 that I liked and contacted the dealership about it. Spoke to Tosin Adekunle. Could barely understand him on the phone so communicated by email and text. Told Tosin that I would be paying cash for the car. Tosin emailed me a quote with the price of $10,485.19 I responded by telling him to make it an even $10k and he has a deal. Tosin then texted me another quote but this time he adjusted the price to $10,997.44 I asked why he did that and he never answered that question. I told him to take off the IKON fee since I was paying cash and did not need a GPS tracker for financing purposes. I also told him to take off the documentary fee, e-tag fee, and VIT since those are dealer added fees that are unnecessary, especially for a cash deal. Tosin proceeded to try and use a dishonest manipulation tactic by saying those are regulatory government fees which a simple Google search proved that was a lie. I called him out on it. Then he sent me a quote for a completely different RX 350 that was 2 years older and priced $3k higher. Tosin is the absolute worst car salesman I've ever dealt with and that's saying something considering I've owned 20 cars in my life and dealt with a lot of dealers. I highly recommend you stay away from this dealership because they hire scumbags who lie to you. read more

This was a bad experience, went in for an oil change and alignment. I've been going here for 5+ years and today was s**t service. Every time I go for an oil change I bring a $15.00 quart of Lucas oil stabilizer. 7 quarts oil 1 quart stabilizer. Tried to get me to buy tires when I just bought tires from them two years ago, when they did the walk around video, guy says brakes are good, just need tires. Repair suggestions said I need new brakes. Just put both set of brakes 6 months ago. I get in my truck hit the freeway, steering wheel still vibrating and Lucas oil stabilizer sitting on the front seat! Cashier got an attitude because I asked her what parts charge is there in an oil change. Smdh! Called back to speak to Tariq Jilani "he's busy. Asked for the manager, "he's busy ! 6 hours later no call back. WTF!? Eddie Rivera ha!? "If Incompetence Was an Art Form, They'd Be Picasso" f you enjoy spending your hard-earned money while being treated like you're both delusional and financially illiterate, then boy, do I have the place for you! Communication here? Nonexistent. I had to call them to remind them to do their job and provide updates--something you'd think would be a basic courtesy for a business. Silly me. Now, let's talk about the invoice debacle. Originally, my total was $830, but on the day of service, that somehow inflated to over $1,000. Why, you ask? Turns out, they sneakily "added" extra work--$214, to be precise. For perspective, this "extra work" coincidentally matches the cost of the diagnosis. Hmm, sounds like a fun coincidence, doesn't it? Almost as if they're double-dipping to pad their numbers. When I called them out, I was told, "You approved it," as if their vague text message constituted full transparency. Spoiler alert: it didn't. But wait, it gets better. After pushing back, I was condescendingly told, "We'll take that off if you're so upset," like I was being irrational for expecting honesty. And yet, somehow, when the smoke cleared and I was at the register, I still paid over $1,000. Did they remove the charges? Did they sneak them back in? Who knows! The service manager sure didn't care enough to explain it. I imagine their motto is, "The system doesn't allow transparency." It's like they've gamified dishonesty. Pro Tip: SAVE. YOUR. DOCUMENTS. Every single one. Screenshot them, tattoo them on your arm if you have to, and demand a line-by-line explanation before you hand over a cent. Otherwise, you'll walk out feeling like your wallet has been mugged by a ghost. In conclusion, this place embodies the perfect combination of miscommunication, manipulation, and "oh well" customer service. I'll be writing more reviews across every platform I can find to make sure people know exactly what they're walking into here. I might have walked in as a customer, but I left feeling like a contestant on Survivor: Service Center Edition. Too bad I didn't win the prize money. read more

Turn around time for every service is abysmally poor. I spent 4 hours for a tire change, 3.5hrs for oil change.

DON'T GO TO THE SERVICE CENTER IF YOU ARE A FEMALE: My experience with Anthony was excellent--he was professional and pleasant. However, I had concerns about Oscar, the assistant service manager, who gave me his card and later made inappropriate comments, telling me I was beautiful and asking me to call him while I was waiting for my car to be serviced then again when I was leaving. Three days later, I found a burner phone under my seat and contacted Oscar. He claimed no one from his crew knew about it. I surrendered the phone to FBPD due to concerns it could be tracking me. When I reported this to the service manager, he was dismissive, insisting no one from the team left the phone in my car, claiming that he was "100% certain" the phone was not placed in my car by his team. It would be in his best interest to create doubt in my mind that no one from the dealership left the phone in my car but no one has been in my car in months. There is no way he could be 100% certain unless there were cameras in my car pointed in the exact area where the phone was found but again, it was in his best interest. He did not address Oscar making inappropriate advances but maybe that is acceptable at the dealership but I was old enough to be his mother. I've been in Human Resources over 20 years, 15 in leadership, and the whole experience is concerning. I no longer feel safe returning to this dealership which is unfortunate. I have an older model car and perhaps they thought I was vulnerable or that no one would notice I was missing. I am aware of my surroundings, but other women may not be. Please let this be a cautionary tale to any single women who get service from this dealership; check your car immediately afterward for any tracking devices; you may not be so lucky. read more

We've long been fans of the Toyota brand and so far, we're loving our Corolla Cross. Our sales professional, Lucas Gonzalez, was friendly, accommodating and helpful. He stayed flexible and patient through the sales process, considering that we asked a lot of questions and took our time figuring out the financial implications of our purchase. He has also been available to us even after the sale, something we really appreciate. We were provided with misinformation about our car's drivetrain, nevertheless, both Lucas and John Chun (GSM), did what they could to make it right. We sincerely appreciate their efforts and the time they've invested to accommodate our needs. Given our exceptional service experience, we will make sure to recommend this location to friends and colleagues who are looking to purchase a vehicle. Despite the request from "Customer Service" (below) to "address your concerns and to earn your business" I have provided all detail and have yet to receive a response. It was then requested to resend to which I did and still no response. I can only interpret this lack of action as them never having an intention to do so and only using this public forum to make it look like they were. Further, In my initial conversation with the sales manager they mentioned the issue without me ever telling anyone. This confirms that they were selling a car with a known issue that was not disclosed. This dealership is not trustworthy. Stay away, particularly used cars. Underlying issues found less than a month after purchase which were not disclosed prior to purchase. Those repairs ended up costing me. The first issue could have been found doing a simple OBD scan for fault codes and the second via general vehicle inspection (by inspecting underneath via car lift). So they either 1) do a thorough inspection of all used vehicles they sell, found the issues and did not disclose them or 2) do not inspect vehicle condition prior to sell. Either way, this is unacceptable and I would not recommend. read more

UPDATE: @Customer Service this was never a recall issue first off. Also my frustration is not from lack of parts but that you would even post a car for sale and take someone's money for a car that was not 100% ready to roll off the lot. Further more your sales manager told me a completely different story and that they found a cracked turbo so the car was going to auction. If you are going to lie and deceive people at least get your stories straight. You are the most unethical and deceptive used car dealers I have ever dealt with and that's saying a lot. The worst car buying experience I have ever had. Last Thursday we purchased a used car for my daughter. The car needed to have the sunroof repaired and some scratches buffed out. I was assured these items would be taken care of with no issues, so I proceeded with the purchase and paid the full amount in cash. Here we are a week later and I still have no car and no answers to how long it will be for them to complete the repairs.... @SterlingMcCall had no problems cashing my check but can't seem to fix a car or provide an eta to save their lives. Let me tell you about my wonderful experience at Toyota Fort Bend! I was In search of a new car and I knew exactly what I wanted. I had already scoped out the dealership and exact car they had available. I started my day by visiting 2 other dealerships and I eventually made it over to Fort bend. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by various associates outside. I had already made an appointment with Marco galang. He met me at the door and was super nice and engaging. He made sure I was comfortable and offered water. He let me test drive the car by myself which honestly was the best! I hate doing test drives with someone in the vehicle and especially with covid going on. I came back from the drive and we began to talk numbers. He was super patient! He brought his boss over (can't remember his name) but he was also super nice and helpful! I got the price I wanted! They really wanted my business which made me sure about buying from this place. I left for another appointment but I already knew I was going to go with Fort Bend Toyota. I went back a few hours later ready to buy! I filled out some paperwork and met with finance! The finance guy ( can't remember his name but I know he went to PVAMU) was very engaging and gave me really great information! I ended up getting gap insurance and extended warranty! Once I was done with finance, Marco took care of me the rest of the way. My new car was filled with gas and sparkling clean . Marco helped me clean out my trade in and then he sent me on my way! I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great experience and reasonable prices! I would rate this place a 10 if I could! Super happy with my vehicle! read more

We bought a van from this place a few months ago and the process was stressful. When you visit this place, the sales people will keep emphasizing that the demand for vehicles is high and if you don't buy it, someone else will within a day no problem. You'll be told this about 3-5 times. Then, to peak your interest, they will tempt you with a similar model that "someone else cancelled" and tell you that you can buy it the same day. That was not true for us - the van didn't exist. Our sales man tempted us with a model that "perhaps didn't sell" and is still here. He steps away and talks to the manager to ask about inventory for a good while, then he comes back and isn't sure so we have to go find it. Come on, you really don't know whether or not your only allocated van that day sold or not? At the time, it was super hot in demand and you guys only carried one that day. He urged us to walk with him to go find it (manager claimed that he didn't know if it sold or not). Keep in mind, this was in the winter so it was COLD. My elderly mother in law and I bared the cold winds to follow him all over the place while he acted as if he could have sworn the van was parked here or there as he repeatedly would remind us that "demand is high" and they can't even keep a car on the lot the same day. We end up walking literally around the entire building until he tells us there isn't a van and we have to put our names on the waiting list (with a deposit). This was really disrespectful and a waste of time. He could if just personally looked around himself or check the computer while we waited inside but he urged us to follow because it was "close by". The "close by" just kept getting further and further. If you put your name on the list to buy a vehicle and have to place a deposit, there isn't a form you sign or anything that explains the terms. At least for us at the time. They kept telling us it's fully refundable if we cancel, but it says that nowhere on paper. Make sure you ask for a legal document that is signed stating that your deposit is refundable because I lost trust in these guys. During the negation process I pointed something out to my dealer and he purposefully ignored me, and kept on talking over me even louder. I had to raise my voice and call his name for him to stop and not rudely talk over me. There deal was non negotiable and they would add on ridiculously over priced add-one that cannot be removed. My experience was very stressful. I don't recommend this place to anyone and will never come back. I wish more places sold cars online without haggling such as Tesla. read more

Buying your first car is supposed to be an exciting experience, but purchasing my first car here was awful. I bought a brand new 2020 Camry. Before I purchased it, I saw a scratch on the back of the car. The salesman said that I could come in on Saturday to get it fixed for free. We came in Saturday and as soon as we got there, they said they did not have time to see us and that the scratch was so bad it actually needed to go to the body shop instead of the detailer. We were annoyed by this, but were willing to come back again since it was a free repair. They also offered to wash our car since we were already there. After an hour later, our car was finally clean. We came and got our car and noticed a huge scratch on the passenger side door that was not there before. Obviously, we were angry because it was a brand new car that I had for less than a week. They offered to fix it for free on a weekday, in addition to the scratch that was already there upon purchase. We agreed, game back to drop the car off, and they gave us a free loaner. When we picked the car up again, the new scratch was covered but still visible. Obviously we were mad again, and they offered to fix it again, but at this point we were fed up with them and no longer trusted them with our car. Also, their COVID-19 measures are terrible. While they do have glass screens that separate you, most of the workers there wear their mask incorrectly (as in, their masks do not cover their nose) or they take it off. We had to tell our salesman that we were uncomfortable and that he should put his mask back on. TLDR; dealership scratched my brand new car and did a bad job at fixing it. Some salesmen improperly wear masks or take off their masks. Poor communication on scheduling as well. read more
