So I stopped at the Chevron gas station at Hwy 1 x Main Street. UL Reg was $4.69/gal, which is avg for the SF Bay Area. I was happy to see that my chip enabled Chevron gas card worked at the pump. This station is large, with plenty of room to maneuver. The station was clean. The food mart was well stocked, and the clerk was friendly and polite. Taking a break is very important when driving. You get tired faster on an empty stomach. So get some food, snacks, and drinks. All that junk food, coffee, candy, and energy drinks are in that food mart for a reason! Hwy 1 can be a dangerous road. So take a break, and enjoy the drive!

9400 Cabrillo Hwy Moss Beach, CA 94038…read more This is the Chevron @ Moss Beach, along Highway 1. I have stopped here a few dozen times over the years. For me, it's more like a rest stop along Highway 1. It's about halfway between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. Last time I was there was a few weeks ago, on a dark stormy night. Road was wet, can't see the lines, and it was windy. Then in the distance, I saw the Chevron sign all lit up in the darkness. I stopped for gas, snacks, and take a short break. Easy to get back on the road. Gas prices will be higher than average here.
