I had an interesting experience here today…read more First, some key observations: -NO PUBLIC RESTROOM -No carwash -small food shop with lots of stuff -very nice clerk -high gas prices It's mid-afternoon, and I'm driving down Woodside Rd with 1/4 tank of gas. Hmm, I better get gas before getting on Hwy 101-South to San Jose. I spot this Shell Station w/ a Food Shop, and decide to fill up. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Located at Woodside Rd & Sequoia Ave, in Redwood City, CA. -

Subject: Complaint Regarding Very Bad Customer Service…read more I would like to report a very disappointing experience I had at your Shell station this morning, Sept 25 at approximately 8:30 AM. I am a regular customer who frequently purchases fuel at this location, and I have always had positive interactions with the staff. However, my experience today with a female employee described as having blonde curly hair, tall, chubby was unacceptable. I came into the store to purchase lottery tickets and brought coins that I had carefully counted and organized in advance. My transaction was very simple and should not have required a significant amount of time. Instead of completing my transaction, the employee repeatedly attended to other customers while leaving me standing at the counter without properly finishing my purchase. Although there may have been a language barrier, that should not have prevented her from providing basic customer service, paying attention, or treating me with respect. Throughout the interaction, she appeared uninterested, unfriendly, and dismissive. She did not acknowledge the inconvenience caused, showed no effort to assist me, and came across as very rude. As a result, I spent nearly an hour waiting when my transaction should have taken only a few minutes. I found this treatment particularly disappointing because all of the other employees I have encountered at this location have always been courteous, friendly, and helpful. I am not writing this complaint lightly. As a loyal customer, I believe every customer deserves to be treated respectfully and served in a timely manner. I hope management will review this incident and provide the appropriate coaching and training to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any actions taken to address this concern.

501 Foster City Blvd Foster City, CA 94404…read more I'm very sorry, but the staff need to check the restroom more often. I was there on a Thursday evening, and stopped to get some gas and use the restroom. I went in the snack shop to get the key. The clerk was chatting with a buddy, and pointed to the key on the wall. It's an all-gender restroom, but right now....I suggest you go elsewhere. It was absolutely nasty and dirty. The toilet was plugged up and didn't flush properly. It took 4 flushes to get anything down. I told the clerk on my way out, and he smiled and said "thanks." It would be better to just put an "OUT OF ORDER" sign on it.

Thanks to the Internet and my car owner's manual, I learned that it was the symbol for low tire pressure and that I had to put air in my tires. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to cars, okay?! Anyway, I researched how to put air in your tires and as silly as it may sound...I felt a little nervous about doing it. I headed to San Mateo Beacon to attempt to fix my tire pressure problem. When I arrived, I told the gas station clerk that this was my first time putting air in my tires so if it takes me awhile...the clerk would know why. The clerk was very kind and let me put air for FREE even though it usually costs $1.00 (quarters only). Thank goodness because it took me more than a dollar's worth to get the job done... I'm happy to report that my tire pressure light went off after I put air in the tires. I guess I did it right! Yay! If anyone needs help with putting air in their tires, feel free to ask me because I'm an expert now. ;) Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN to the clerk who helped me out and gave me free air!!! Thanks for being so nice and understanding! :)
