So I stopped at the Chevron gas station at Hwy 1 x Main Street. UL Reg was $4.69/gal, which is avg for the SF Bay Area. I was happy to see that my chip enabled Chevron gas card worked at the pump. This station is large, with plenty of room to maneuver. The station was clean. The food mart was well stocked, and the clerk was friendly and polite. Taking a break is very important when driving. You get tired faster on an empty stomach. So get some food, snacks, and drinks. All that junk food, coffee, candy, and energy drinks are in that food mart for a reason! Hwy 1 can be a dangerous road. So take a break, and enjoy the drive!

I googled "cheap gas near me" and this one popped up as the cheapest. The average GA$ prices at that time were over $6.00 so $5.84 (5 cents cheaper if you pay with cash) was worth the 0.08 miles drive. It's located just off of Skyline Blvd. past 280 in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. There are 8 pumps with plenty of space to maneuver your vehicle. They sell your typical items you can get at any gas station/convenience store. It's also easy to get in and out from with limited traffic in the area. The next "cheapest GA$" on the list was $5.99 just a few blocks away on the same street on San Bruno Ave. As of today, their GA$ (unleaded) is listed as $5.34. Still not under the $5.00 threshold unlike Costco, but it's still "cheaper" compared to other gas stations within the same vicinity. Hope this review saves you a pretty penny.

Once I arrived and saw the reality of the situation, I left to get my gas at the Daly City Loop, where they actually have the car wash they advertise in their Yelp listing, but guess what? Because I had driven down from Manor to Rockaway Beach, I got there shortly after 8 o'clock and they were closed. My car remains unfortunate and in a shamefully dirty condition. That's the sad truth of what happens when you travel out of Pacifica for two weeks. You arrive home to find your vehicle appears as if Duncan Idaho borrowed it and has been joyriding all over Arrikis while you were away. Suddenly you are grateful you recently refilled your wiper fluid, because the windshield is now the only window you can see out of. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I went out of my way to get here and as a result couldn't get my shamefully filthy car washed at the next location. I hear they're nice guys at the Pacifica Loop. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Subject: Complaint Regarding Very Bad Customer Service…read more I would like to report a very disappointing experience I had at your Shell station this morning, Sept 25 at approximately 8:30 AM. I am a regular customer who frequently purchases fuel at this location, and I have always had positive interactions with the staff. However, my experience today with a female employee described as having blonde curly hair, tall, chubby was unacceptable. I came into the store to purchase lottery tickets and brought coins that I had carefully counted and organized in advance. My transaction was very simple and should not have required a significant amount of time. Instead of completing my transaction, the employee repeatedly attended to other customers while leaving me standing at the counter without properly finishing my purchase. Although there may have been a language barrier, that should not have prevented her from providing basic customer service, paying attention, or treating me with respect. Throughout the interaction, she appeared uninterested, unfriendly, and dismissive. She did not acknowledge the inconvenience caused, showed no effort to assist me, and came across as very rude. As a result, I spent nearly an hour waiting when my transaction should have taken only a few minutes. I found this treatment particularly disappointing because all of the other employees I have encountered at this location have always been courteous, friendly, and helpful. I am not writing this complaint lightly. As a loyal customer, I believe every customer deserves to be treated respectfully and served in a timely manner. I hope management will review this incident and provide the appropriate coaching and training to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any actions taken to address this concern.
