From my very first phone call with Liz, I felt cared for. She was personable, down-to-earth, and even made me laugh during a stressful situation. Since it had been quite a while since I'd seen a dentist, I was embarrassed and worried about being judged, but everyone at the office made me feel completely comfortable. Bri was incredibly helpful with the paperwork and went out of her way to save me time. Heather, my dental hygienist, was kind, reassuring, and never judgmental. She explained everything clearly and made me feel involved and informed throughout the process. Dr. Kutuza, who performed my extractions, was thorough, patient, and compassionate. She took the time to explain what was happening and what sensations to expect, which helped ease a lot of my anxiety. Even Linda, the insurance coordinator, was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, even offering me a stress ball to hold. I was genuinely impressed by every person I interacted with and very grateful for such a positive experience during a dental emergency. I was so comfortable with the care I received that I scheduled my comprehensive exam before leaving. I broke a tooth and knew I had no choice but to bite the bullet and get it fixed! I asked a friend where I should go and this is where she led me. I had a panic attack before going and did not sleep the night before. Let me tell you that from the moment I opened the door and stepped inside I saw welcoming staff that immediately assured me that I was in good hands. The front desk staff was actually treating me like a person and not just a name on a chart! I was surprised...still terrified but comforted. I met Dr. Parsons and was immediately struck by his relaxed and friendly manner. He immediately put me at ease and was very reassuring and supportive. Nothing like I had ever experienced before! He fixed the broken tooth before I realized it was finished! It was the BEST experience I have ever had! Pain?? What pain?? There was none! I was shocked! Went back in today and the same result! It's not. i was going to a different dentist, in Emmaus, PA, where the oral hygienist essentially tortured me (I even have an injury on the root of a tooth from their hostile scaling technique, though there's no hope of getting their admission of it). I started scaling my own teeth to reduce this feeling of being brutalized at semiannual cleanings, and it made no difference at all. At Antonis' office, I said "Wow, you barely did anything with the hook". The hygienist admitted "you basically did all the work". This taught me that my other hygienist was not doing anything sensible and had only been scraping mindlessly. I'll never go back to them, but I WOULD go back to Antonis' people. I told the receptionists how impressed I was with the gentleness of Antonis' hygienists. The one receptionist said "Oh I know, I love them here!" She then told an oral hygienist anecdote of her own, from her own prior dentist. When she somewhat shyly complained about her hygienist, to the receptionist at her old dental office, the dentist happened to be within hearing distance and said "What? She's been warned before about that" and the dentist walked back and fired the woman on the spot. So let this be a lesson to you: if you're putting up with an oral hygienist abusing your mouth during cleanings, this is NOT normal. Try the hygienists at Mark Antonis' office. I had two different ones and both were gentle. Note, this was circa 2006. I don't know if the same hygienists are there today.

Before I found him, I was terrified of the dentist. He's made it so I don't have anxiety coming in. He's very friendly, talks to you, answers any questions you have, and doesn't belittle you. (Something I've dealt with at all the other dentist offices I've been at) I have never had any trouble with the teeth he has worked on. As for the receptionists, I've never had issues with them, they were always nice to me. Any issues with your appointment time is not their fault. Sometimes a kid needs to be talked to because he's scared. Sometimes a procedure goes longer than expected. They'd rather have you sit in the waiting room with magazines and a tv than the chair in the room - alone. (I've asked) The guy at the desk (Muhammad I believe), has been incredibly helpful and nice to me, whether it's figuring out insurance things or scheduling appointments. He has never been nasty to me and I've never seen or heard him being nasty to anyone else. I ALWAYS recommend people to come here because of my comfort level at this office. If you like being treated badly, I can point you in that direction, I have plenty of places that fit those shoes.
