Despite that, I received another call later the same day asking for the same information, even though I had already committed to calling back. I called the office to provide the information and also expressed that I was frustrated by the repeated calls. My concern was never about the importance of having accurate insurance information--I completely understand that. I work in customer service myself, and I appreciate the need for accurate records. My frustration was simply that I had already told the office I would call back, yet I felt pressured before I had the opportunity to do so. Rather than acknowledging my concern, the office manager spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. She even asked if I "always talk to my customers the way I was talking to her," despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the conversation. I never raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully; I simply expressed my frustration with how the situation was handled. As a parent, first impressions matter when choosing healthcare providers for my children. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with little confidence in the office's approach to communication and customer service, so I chose to cancel our appointments and seek dental care elsewhere.

My last appointment she said I have some silver fillings that "may" crack and I'd need a crown. I was asked if I wanted to schedule that. I said no. I've been a patient here for almost a year now (just had my 2nd 6-month check-up a few days ago). While as a patient here, I've had a filling done on my first ever cavity and it was very comfortable! Currently, in my dental journey, I have adult braces placed 4 weeks ago by my orthodontist and just had my 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday by my oral surgeon. It all started with a referral to my oral surgeon and then a referral to my orthodontist! My dental team all communicate with Dr. Gil and they're all fantastic! The receptionist Karen always greets me by name and she sends me a personal email reminder because she remembered I'm better with email than phone calls. She's also super duper sweet. My RDH Melissa always gives me cool shades to wear and is great with my teeth. She's really knowledgeable too and answers all my questions like, "whats the difference between stannous fluoride and sodium fluoride?" or "should I use a whitening toothpaste with my braces?" She's fantastic. Dr. Gil is always a joy to talk to! He is always careful and thorough in his examination. He's quite the dental nerd haha, I always learn something new from him. Thanks to him, I get to finally correct my underbite. I've been waiting for this for several years :)
