Back in June, a sentimental piggy bank left to me by my grandfather was on a shelf. There was an electrical cord behind it. One day, I was cleaning and my wife said: "are you sure you want to do it like that?" No sooner than I huffed at her that everything was fine, I inadvertently yanked on the cord and the piggy bank came down with a crash. Only a couple of months prior, I had heard about Kintsugi through a friend, so I looked around and found Tesserak Studio. On Friday, I picked up the finished project. Amazing work Martin!

He deserves more than 5 stars! Hard to find skilled restoration specialist with museum quality results. I'm blown away by the skill that it took to restore my client's antiquities. I can't give a more positive review based on the quality of work AND the prices should be way higher!!!

I was amazed at the job Martin did with my large ceramic sun. I had purchased it in Mexico and it got smashed. I didn't have expectations that it would look as good as before it was broken, but it did! I am so grateful to Martin for the work he did and restoring this piece that was sentimental to me. He is a true artist and very reasonably priced. I would recommend him very highly. More than five stars! Bridget

The base was broken & missing several pieces.

It certainly was my lucky day when I asked Martin to repair my beautiful antique Quan Yin sculpture. This was a very complex repair that had a broken base. He not only had to dismantle the base, but he had to make a molds for all the missing parts and then meticulously fill, smooth, paint and glaze everything. he did such an amazing job that you would never know that it had ever been broken. He also re-painted the underside of the left hand. This beautiful piece was my mother's favorite for over 70 years , & it feels so good to have there in my entryway for my family to treasure. Martin, you are a true magician! Thanks so much. Kaaren Powers

Martin is truly an artist! Many years ago he repaired a plaster sculpture for my dad that was broken many pieces. It came out beautiful. You could not tell where it had even been broken. This year we took a bowl from Italy that one of the handles had broken. Again another amazing job..I can't say enough about his work. I will always recommend his work.

Martin is a miracle worker. I found this broken tile during the wildfire aftermath and really wanted to save it for the sentimental value. He did an incredible job, was responsive and professional and also accommodated my special pickup and drop off requests due to fire displacement. I can't recommend his work enough.

Martin is a true artist. I am amazed by quality of the restoration work he completed on my coffee cup. The repair work was 5star. I will recommend Tesserak Restoration Studio to all in need of high quality restoration

I was lucky they were able to take in the extra items. When they agree to whatever you are bringing do not bring extra. 4 totes is 4 totes. If you have more either warm them that you are bringing more or schedule another appointment. Their space is finite and they only have so much room at any given time. Also no glass items, no picture frames, etc. Glass is a valid safety concern for them with the kids that come in with their folks to shop. Really appreciated how straightforward they were. Will definitely call and set up another appointment when I sort through my next round of crafting donations and promise to stick to the agreed upon quantity. 4 is 4 not 4 AND...

I was in there not long ago, about a week almost two, I needed some stretching band or some fabric…read morethat would stretch, I bought a fanny pack and it was too small so I was going to alter it. I'm a man, I get that there may not be many men that come into a sewing shop. I also don't care to dress like I'm rich or well off I dress like I did when I was homeless. Anyway, I went in there with my girlfriend, and the women working behind the counter had attitude and this unwarranted disrespect from the get go with me; they wouldn't even look at me or talk to me when I was the one going in there to buy something as a customer and I was the one speaking to them asking where I could find what I was looking for or if they had it. They only looked and talked to my girlfriend, and when I said I needed the material they said a yard minimum mandatory, I didn't need a yard but okay, I tried on multiple accounts in this short lived interaction to be polite and push their disrespect off to the side and be peaceful, but the disrespect continued no matter what the neglect of speaking to me or looking at me continued, and the sense of urgency to get us out of the store was strong, and at a high volume. I did ask "do you all have a problem with men or something?" Trying to see if any men have come in there causing trouble before was my only intent with that question; the woman got so beside herself, and told me I'm not a nice man and had asked why I'm asking that, and I pointed out how they wouldn't look or talk to me when I was the one asking to buy something. They did not care, they flipped the script and acted like I was the problem the whole time. I was so irked about this, because I'm tired of dealing with people that look at me and judge me and treat like s**t just because of how I'm dressed, it doesn't even matter how polite and well spoken I am, but in this instance it was all so unwarranted and unkind and unnecessary. I will be going back there, because I like to sew, and keep my clothes as long as I can because it is hard to find a direct fit. I hope my experience improves with them. The woman who had made the biggest of problems, had worn overalls that had been a tan rust color, with a lot of bumblebees everywhere on them. I was so ready to get what I paid for and get out that I didn't catch any names. That kind of behavior is what urges me to buy online, when really I just want to support local places and buy what I need, no one should have to deal with getting ignored judged and mistreated as a customer or a person just on how they LOOK. If you are working or volunteering, or have problems in your life, or even sh**ty customers, it doesn't give any right to be disrespectful or judgmental or dismissive or any kind of rude behavior towards anyone, especially if it was not warranted. Thank you...

The prices are a little higher than I remember from the pottery studio but the pieces are cooler, and the owner is amazing. On this day alone, I witnessed a birthday party, a sweet date, friend groups, families, and solo painters. The choice of products ranged as well, giving many items to choose between and even included holiday options. I'm NOT an artist so honestly, felt a bit anxious making those first colorful paint strokes on my coffee mug. I mostly settled into the experience knowing there was no turning back now! An hour and half later, I handed over my creation and a couple weeks later, VOILA. A reminder of this fun afternoon! (the less glowy stuff) I never got a call about my item. I only knew it was ready because others in my group were posting pics of their final products. When I did call, they couldn't find my slip so it became a hunt based on my description. I don't know what would've happened if I didn't have pics from the day I was there. Also, not sure *I* think it was worth $44 for a coffee mug BUT the group experience + final product makes me glad to have been introduced to Create It. I would both recommend and return.
