Instead of a polite correction or guidance, the owner abruptly stormed out from the back and shouted "WHOA WHOA WHOA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"--startling both of us. My wife apologized immediately and tried to explain we weren't aware there was a specific process, but that didn't stop him from continuing to raise his voice and snatching the poster from her hands. He then gave us an unnecessarily condescending lecture about how "it's really just common sense." Even after my wife apologized again and said she would remember for next time, he kept going. His tone was rude, patronizing, and completely disproportionate to the situation. We decided to leave without buying anything because we simply didn't want to be treated that way. To the owner: if you don't want customers touching merchandise, that's completely understandable--but then clearly post signs asking people not to handle items without assistance. Don't assume people know your process, and definitely don't talk down to them when they make a simple mistake. Your behavior was unprofessional, and it ruined what should have been a simple, pleasant shopping experience. We won't be returning, and we sincerely hope others are treated with more basic courtesy and respect than we were.

I ordered a few items online using a coupon to pick up in store. It was so quick- only 15 minutes after I placed order I received an email it was ready for pick up. While in the store I noticed another item I wanted to use my coupon for and it said to do so online. When I picked up my order at the counter the woman was quite abrasive and never even greeted me. When I let her know, I had placed another item and asked if I could pick it up. She practically yelled at me that it takes at least two or three hours for the orders to be filled. I let her know that the other items I ordered were ready in 15 minutes and actually there were about a dozen of the item that I ordered in the store. She replied it was going to be several hours and I let her know I was shopping next-door and would stop back by and she said that I needed to wait for the email first. While I was shopping at Target, I received an email from Joanne saying that my item was canceled as they did not have it in the store. However I saw plenty of the Halloween doormats on the shelves there. I have an inkling that this lady may have canceled my order. Very bizarre behavior and interesting experience. I did notify the store first and they said they'd mention something to the salesperson. She actually muttered something under her breath as I walked out of the store.

This other company basically just eye-balled what we wanted done & their written estimate seemed "off"; the yardage needed seemed way too low & we were curious/worried they'd try to correct this once they started the job. After confirming the job they basically "went dark" with communication, with us continually calling them with no response, & we decided to cancel with them & return to Loveseat --- & couldn't be happier. Loveseat measured everything the first time we went in, just friendly with no pressure & no worries. Great communication too (why does that seem to be a dying art?!), as well as turn-around. Final result? We Love our new seats & would recommend them in a heartbeat! Next time we'll head here first, lesson learned!

We moved into a 1955 house that had 3 different floorings, an old and outdated kitchen, and an odd entry and main room- and Merritt- Nelson came in to help us design the perfect main entry, kitchen and dining area. It beats anything you can see on HGTV- these guys take your ideas and then deliver it. After discussing ideas and budget, they have an architect to work with you to design the layout, then Gary and Greg put it all together with quality work. They told us the time frame for completion- and they were right on. It was a 3 month project- finished on time! They did a total remodel of the kitchen, took down walls and added walls, took out a fireplace, removed all the various floorings- tile, carpet, and wood, and replaced it all with wood. They repainted inside and the front doors- inside and out. They removed windows and replaced with bigger windows. The ideas they brought to us were exciting and fun. They cleaned up their site every day, and kept us informed of permit processing and updating each day with their progress. It was such a pleasure doing such a big project with these guys- I miss them. They were so easy to have at the house. I would recommend them to anyone who wants quality along with stress free remodeling.
