I helped a friend who was a buying a Tesla and the experience was quite disappointing. Everything communicated during the online purchase process made it seem like it would be as easy as showing up for the appointment, agreeing to the terms on the app, pairing the app with the car/key card, then driving away within a few minutes. We didn't expect to be waiting for an hour and I didn't expect the only parking options would be a muddy gravel lot (not sure if this an option, I just saw cars there), or at the very end of the available street parking. There are clear signs saying "no customer parking" in the Tesla lot, so plan to park quite a distance way and walk back on the street while cars speed by because there are no sidewalks. Good luck if you have someone in a wheelchair or with limited mobility. The car still had some kind of obvious tape on the area where the truck closes. It was the first thing we saw so I don't know how they missed it, but it makes you wonder what else they might have missed. read more

I live 50 minutes away and told them that I called everyone close to me, family and friends and no one was available to come pick me up. They said they couldn't spare me a car because it was only reserved for overnight customers. Then now I look at the app and it's overnight anyway. Even if it wasn't certain, Service closes at 6. Meaning it would've been overnight anyway. Not only did I miss a job interview, as rare as they are these days, these two both did not care a single bit despite knowing that 90% chance that the car would stay overnight and 100% chance I would miss my interview. We started the process almost 3 years ago of installing a Tesla battery wall for our home and as much as I hate writing bad reviews it has been one of the worst managed projects I've ever seen. Heidi our project manager at Riverside Tesla will not respond to emails despite many attempts. I had to set up SDG&E myself and after getting approved I sent Heidi the approval but again despite several attempts cannot get a response from her. Just months between emails saying "let me check. My Tesla app says I would have made $1700 in electricity being sent to the grid, but instead I spent about $60K for a system that I hope is working well but nobody cares enough to check their emails and respond. It was actually my first time at a tesla service center. Ever since I picked up my car at a lot during covid times, haven't had to take my tesla in. However, my model 3 stopped charging and I received a notification that it needs to be serviced. I contacted tesla upland through the app. Josh helped us and he was awesome! We mentioned some minor issues with our car but never got fixed. The car is out of warranty now and it would normally cost us for labor. But Josh addressed our issues and got it fixed free of charge! Josh was very responsive to our messages and updated us every step of the way. The entire process was smooth. We got a loaner car for a few days while they fixed the car. One Star - Very Unprofessional and Rip Off I wish I could give Tesla Solar zero stars. Their price match policy is a total scam. They advertise on their website that they'll match lower prices if certain conditions are met--but even if you meet every single requirement, they'll come up with some weak excuse to deny it. It feels intentionally deceptive. Trying to talk to an actual human is a nightmare. You can't reach anyone without booking an appointment, and that usually means waiting a week or more. And when the appointment finally comes, the representatives are rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Tesla might be good at making cars, but when it comes to customer service and transparency with their solar division, it's a disaster. We reserved a 48-hour demo drive for the Tesla Model X over a month ago, and just 12 hours before pickup, Tesla of Upland canceled our reservation without warning. This was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the time we waited and planned around this experience. We were genuinely excited to explore the Model X and were seriously considering a purchase. The last-minute cancellation showed a lack of professionalism and poor customer service -- not at all what you'd expect from a brand like Tesla. It's unfortunate that after weeks of anticipation, we were left with a rude response by tesla representative stating "you do understand the vehicles are for sale." I tried to explain, that this was not informed and a confirmation was given by 3 different representatives on 3 different occasions. This review is for Service department, came ten minutes early, walk into to the service department, right away I was greeted from the advisor at the counter. Within 3 minutes in line, 2 different advisor acknowledged me until my advisor was ready to assist me. My vehicle came in for the driver door making a clicking noise and the trunk was out of alignment leaving a gap. They replace my the driver side door strap and adjusted the hinges in the trunk. Props to my advisor Gus for keeping me inform throughout the repair process and setting up my vehicle for after hour pick up. Thank you for making the process smooth and easy. The 2108 Model 3 Tesla on board charging module or power conversion system that charges low AC "home" to DC was determined to be dead. Therefore, the car will not charge at home, only at super chargers. As a customer who has owned my Tesla for 7.5 years, I'm out of warranty and of course planning to one day (3 years later) buy another Tesla, but the service quote I received to fix the charging module was 3900 dollars, which is outrageous. The Upland service rep in person and a Costa Mesa manager replied by message that the cost is set due to not stocking the 2018 part. I've researched through several sites and Teslas do have these charging modules go out, so why not stock it?? Rather they are trying to charge the customer an unreasonable amount. I will continue to reach Tesla high level leadership, but for now bad taste, bad business and no help for current and future customers. Horrible service, I have tried to schedule 2 test drive, both got canceled by associates here, they don't answer their calls, said when visiting the dealership, I can't record them, all while they recording me with 10 different cameras inside and more outside, plus all the tesla was recording. Tesla has no customer service and the only thing certain with them is they will ghost you. My original application was approved however i called to add the referral code that wasn't applied during the application process. They made me do a new application and assured me i would get refunded the 2nd $250 fee. Everything when fine, I Picked up my car and asked about the refund, they assured me i would receive it saying it was the last one to get approved by the manager. So i left and that's where my mistake was. Ever since then, i have tried contacting them about it and nothing. They are always trying to reach the manager but they never get back to me. My 2024 Model Y's DAS and convenience features malfunctioned, and the riverside Tesla dealership simply didn't care. I visited the Upland service center two days after the initial problem and was assisted by Leslie, who provided excellent customer service and kept me informed throughout the entire service process. Despite the inconvenience, (my main reason for 4/5 stars) the loaner car was a positive aspect but it was dirty and had only 30% charge, Leslie offered to vacuum it, which I declined as the debris were minor. Around 3:30 pm on 12/18 Leslie informed me that the vehicle needed further diagnostics and rescheduled the completion date for the next day 12/19. The service was completed, and some parts were replaced. Leslie's communication and the technician's expertise were exceptional. This service center will undoubtedly become my preferred choice. read more

Overall, I love my Tesla the car, but highly disappointed with the company this car is affiliated with. These cars are sold as high end, luxury items, yet the customer service at this location feels like I purchased a 1984 Yugo, from "Johnny's Used Cars," in "ghettosville USA." 1. I understand that an estimate is just that, a guess or approximate cost of the work that needs to be done. But when you go from a $500 estimate, to a $2,500 final cost, you need a better estimation process. A 500% increase in cost is a bit of a sticker shock and absolutely ridiculous. Especially when the work done, was on my A/C, which I had spent and additional $1,500 on, earlier this January!!!! The money I saved on gas, no oil changes and break services, was lost on two visits! 2. I dropped my car off midweek. Then was told the part had arrived the following Monday and would have my car in a couple of days. It took a week and a half for them to install that part. 3. When my wife went to pick up my car, they could not find it. They had to call me to look on the APP and tell them where they left my car. Once we found it, in the back parking lot a few hundred yards away, the made my wife walk all the way back there and get it herself, instead of bringing the car to the service entrance. I've been getting cars serviced at dealerships for 30 years and that was the first time that my car was not driven up to the front or waiting area of the service department. 4. Now when you take a car to get serviced, you would assume that because it's getting serviced, you would get the car in better shape than when you dropped it off. Yes, they fixed my A/C, but the car looked like it had been driven through a desert storm. The car was so filthy that you could barely see through the windshield. When she asked about getting the car wash, they say they don't do that. "WTF????" What kind of car dealership doesn't wash their cars??? TESLA is supposed to be this high end, luxury car and they can't even offer something as basic as this? Hell, I would get a free car wash, when I would get a $200 oil change, at the Ford Dealership. So, it's the least they could do when I spent $2,500. Also, there is a car wash, seriously a block away. Ever thought of getting the cars cleaned there? Just unbelievable the lack of care this "luxury dealership" offers! 5. CHARGE THE DAMN CAR!!! How difficult is to at least put 100 miles on that damn thing, instead of leaving it with about 50. I understand that at gas dealerships, they don't top of the gas tank, but that's because gas is $5/gallon. It would cost them that to charge my car to 50%. We were thinking about buying a Y for my wife, but with this type of customer service, or lack there of, we will definitely be looking elsewhere and I will be putting my car on the market. Took our Model X for a small repair and my bill went from 1 item to about 10 items. The rep kept adding and once they fixed one thing another thing came out and ended up paying 20 times the first estimate. Once I ended up fixing all the issues, the car still had issues with suspension and took it back, they then told me they would look into it and here we go again with more stuff to fix after several diagnostics. No explanation or indication since they had missed the main reason why we took it in, once we dropped off the car they offered us a loaner car, and wow the car was super dirty and some of the doors weren't working. No apologies from the staff, they just wanted us out of there. It's been a huge issue communicating with the managers and they didn't do a great job communicating the issues and on top of that the mechanics seem to keep adding more items on the invoice after they indicated that everything was fixed. Super dissatisfied with the experience as a whole. The first time we were also supposed to get Uber credits for 5 days and all we got was $100 lackluster credits to use, no loaner and no solution. The issue got buried and we never got any credits or reimbursements. When you show up be aware that some of the staff members are playing around hanging out and not doing their work, it's running like a small start up and they don't really care about quality of service. This is not like a regular dealership where they care about customer experiences and care, it's very unprofessional and unorganized. I don't recommend this service center, I have had better luck with Rancho Cucamonga and Pomona service centers. I would love to speak to the main supervisor on this issue that still needs to be fixed and here I am 10k down because of mistakes from the staff and lack of awareness and structure. If I could give zero stars, I would. The Tesla Service Center in Upland, CA, is by far the most unprofessional and negligent service provider I've ever dealt with. They returned my car after service with the trunk completely misaligned, interior trim improperly clipped in, and my trunk liner filthy with footprints--clearly walked on by technicians. To make matters worse, they left the passenger seatbelt disconnected, loose clips scattered around the car, and tools in the driver's footwell, which could have caused a serious accident. Despite swearing I would never return, I had no choice when I needed an urgent windshield replacement. That turned into another disaster: adhesive residue all over the dash, rattling from a broken visor hook that they just left snapped off, and, unbelievably, all four tires inflated 20 PSI over the max limit. Driving 700 miles on dangerously overinflated tires could have caused a blowout and put my life--and the lives of everyone on the road--at risk. On top of that, three of my custom dust caps were mysteriously "lost." This service center is a complete disgrace. Tesla should be ashamed of the lack of care and safety demonstrated here. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this location at all costs. Their incompetence is not only frustrating but outright dangerous. read more

My experience with Tesla - Upland was amazing. I ordered an inventory vehicle at 9 am and was able to pick it up at 2:30 pm. While I did most of my order through the Tesla app, I was able to call and speak with a live person at this location with a few questions. I took a Lyft to the location and was immediately greeted at drop off. I was walked over to the business office, signed some papers and waited about 5 minutes in the lounge before Cheyenne brought me out to my car. Cheyenne patiently helped me set up my driver profile and walked me through everything with the vehicle before sending me off. I never felt rushed with her. I was probably in and out in under 30 minutes. I even received a phone call from a supervisor a few days later to make sure everything was good with my vehicle and pick up experience. A++! read more

Scheduled service appointment on 10/21/24 for 11/01/24. Received a message around 4:00 p.m. on 10/31, stating that "We are currently have no courtesy vehicles at this time. Arrange for your own alternative transportation". I live 35+ minutes away from this location... I kindly requested Uber credit , and I was told that "Our location does not provide UBER credits and currently is out of loaner vehicles". Wait what??? This is the worst customer service experience l've ever had. This car is under warranty, the seat issue is a built quality issue, and I, as the customer, need to pay at least $150 transportation charges for a problem caused by the built quality? I am not happy with your service, and I am not happy with how Tesla is handling this issue. l've changed all my schedule around this service request, you guys knew that this car will be dropped off since October 21st, and you are telling me all these 24 hours before the appointment!
