One thing to make clear about my review is the advisor who helped me on delivery day with vehicle…read morewas great. He was nice, listened and explained everything (10/10 customer service and what I expect from Tesla). My issue with the experience was with the Seaside manager Wyatt who was rude and didn't provide the experience I've been accustomed to after purchasing now 3 Teslas. Context: My initial EDD was Oct 10-Nov 1 so my wife and I weren't expecting or prepared to take delivery for atleast another few weeks. I get the notification that my car is ready around 3pm on 9/29. While excited it was towards the end of the work day and I now needed to figure things out. Immediately there after I receive a call from Wyatt telling me the car is ready. I tell him that I'm excited and just need a little time to call bank and get loan process going. As a father of two, I need atleast 1 day to work with bank and then one day to figure out picking up a car 1 hour away from me. He then proceeds to tell me that if I don't pick up the car by end of the following day he would give it to another customer in a very aggressive and rude manner citing that they need sell the car by end of month. I get it you want to hit your numbers but at what cost to the customer experience? I don't like when businesses try and give me ultimatums and being put in a corner so obviously I got mad about this approach. If he would've just said , hey man we're trying to hit goals and we would prefer if you come in tomorrow but understand if you need 48 hours. Honestly I wasn't asking for much lol. I've never had a bad customer service experience with Tesla and Wyatt was the first one. I mentioned this and he told me well we're the number one customer satisfaction branch in America so.. Given that I wanted this car o was willing to ignore the attitude (you can see our messages that I sent) and told them I'd get it figured out with bank. Also one thing to also know is that at the end of my call with Wyatt he didn't realize he hung up and called me a deuchbag and then I hung up the phone. I was going to let him know I heard it but I was done going back and forth. Ad a branch manager this is ridiculous behavior. As I mentioned I got the message at around 3:30pm and pushed my bank to get me approved by 5pm that same day. It was a lot of pressure and stress at the end of my work day to do this because Wyatt wanted to sell this car to increase quarterly numbers. Anyways the next day my bank sent me approval docs and copies of the check that they planned to overnight to Tesla. Wyatt then told me I needed to bring the physical copy of the check to Tesla in order to buy the car. I've purchased many cars in my life and never have had to bring a check to make a purchase. My bank was even confused because they provided proof of payment via email and I had digital copies of the check uploaded to app. If this is a Tesla process you need to change it. I then had to drive 40 mins to my bank who cut the check. Then after drive an hour to seaside I was able to finally get the car. The rep who helped me take delivery was great. Please let him know that. Wyatt needs to seriously consider how he handles end of quarter calls and has more empathy towards customers. You're dealing with a now 3x Tesla owner who isn't a difficult customer. If Wyatt is being asked to train his people and conduct business this way then that's a Tesla problem but my guess is he's stressed to sell cars by month end and needed someone to buy the car by eom. All of this to say that the customer experience is more important than your quarterly numbers.
