We have eaten other items on the menu and have never been disappointed. We have also brought family & friends to eat with us here. The restaurant is always clean as are the bathrooms. They also have a bar counter where you can sit and have food. You can also play quick pick there too if you're so inclined. I have never had any issues with any staff members every one has been nice that we have come into contact with. The wait for food is normal , your not waiting forever for your food to come out. Today I had the Rueban and a blueberry lemon drop martini and can I just say yum If you're looking for a nice clean place to eat in Riverhead try Diggers.

Short ribs were way overdone. The meat was tender yet way too hot, like it had been excessively heated or microwaved. The gravy was a very dark brown, overdone and just way too heavily flavored. My wife's Shepard's pie actually seemed to be using the same overdone gravy. Thick layer of mashed potatoes and the thinnest layer of barely there meat/ground beef and vegetable(corn among them). Came with a slice of soda bread that was butter soaked and way overbrowned on the griddle. We've been going there a steady 4-6 times a year few for the last 20+ years and had our son's 21st birthday there as well. Food there has been on a downward spiral for a while now.

I'm a bit confused how my white bean and escarole soup had so many red kidney beans in it... I'm…read moredumbfounded that they sent meatballs in an unsealed container with a thin, watery sauce, and I'm dismayed that this awesome short rib and mushroom pie was so oily it saturated the pizza box. All of this, yet the food was still quite good despite all the misfortunes and mis-steps. I don't even know how to rate them ... 3.5 seems right, so do I go 4 stars for the solid flavors, or do l go with 3 because the pizza needed a third ingredient for complexity and a lot less grease, the white bean soup was made with red kidney beans, and the meatballs were in an ounce of this sauce... But that short rib pie could be something really special, I added a balsamic drizzle, even great with some horseradish. We definitely want to explore the menu more, am I right? Who else has tried em?

I had a couple of slices that were nice and thin, crispy and very flavorful. Dean, who is making the pies and doing the cooking, busy as he is, is one of the friendliest guys you will meet in a Pizza place! He says hello, welcomes you, and makes sure you know something about his offerings. Sure, its a small place and sometimes they are very busy and do not have all the time in the world to chat, but ask any question and Dean is happy to help! Maria is soft-spoken and kind, and the food is always top notch. Service can be slow at the counter, they have been understaffed a few times while I was there, just Dean and Maria. But the food is worth the wait. On another night, eight of us ate in the dining room, which is very attractive, and the food was excellent! We will be going back in a group again - especially after the Cruise Nights at East Wind in Wading River. Pete G.

You're greeted at the door, and the waitstaff asks if there are any questions. My recent favorite is saag paneer because you can taste the ginger, and it has a nice texture that pairs well with naan or rice. I usually go with a group, and we each order an entree and share, so there is variety. My friends liked the shrimp tikka, and it wasn't too spicy. Looking forward to our next meal at Taj.

First off, there's…read morenever anyone in this restaurant (people seem to grab takeout though), and dining in a big empty restaurant is just awkward. Both times I went there was a fully equipped bar downstairs but both times we were never given a drinks menu. I was looking forward to a cocktail since I saw some on their website, but I'm not going to order a fancy cocktail if I'm not given the drinks menu at the restaurant. We asked for a glass of wine and a beer instead, but that can also be risky (especially with wine) when you don't know what the price will be. I don't understand why the drinks menu isn't automatically handed out with the food menu. They had some beer taps, but as a beer person I can say the Hefeweizen was definitely off. Old, flat, darker in color than normal. The food was just ok, not bad, but nothing to ever come back for, especially at $20 for a couple of pieces of chicken and a side of rice. Service was also just ok. So quiet that it was hard for me to understand what was being said to me. No facial expressions, no words that would make us feel welcome and wanted there as guests. Third time might be the charm but I'll pass.

Lead by Chef Spiro for more than 30 years, it is a staple in the community. They offer a huge bar area/lounge with multiple large TVs, an elegant dining room, and a beautiful private party room. They also have an awesome back patio that is sure to be a hot spot when the weather is warmer. The food, cocktail, and dessert menu is vast, and sure to offer something to your liking. Their focus is on fresh seafood, high quality cuts of meats, and daily rotating specials. We absolutely loved both appetizers that we got, and the Prime 10oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly. We went all out of their dessert, trying some of some of our favorites that they executed very well! All the cocktails that we had were fresh and delicious. Great meal! We went on the weekend, but their Monday Lobster Night menu is insane! $58 includes your choice of appetizer, a 2lb whole stuffed lobster, and a dessert! We have to come back for that soon! We loved it here and we know you will too! Follow us on IG @drinklongislandny for full video review and many more!
