Horrible customer service. Tesla accepts orders for cars, takes non-refundable deposits, then proceeds to cancel them only offering deposit back when the car has been discontinued and prices increased. Customer support is horrible, no escalation channel, it's extremely sad how little Tesla cares about its community and customers. read more

I was quite wary of Teslas model, but Naz really helped me and my family get extremely comfortable with Teslas unique operations. I've been back a few times over the years to test drive and she's always been extremely approachable and friendly throughout. Thoroughly explained the process of customizing the driving experience before the demo drives - I was lost and she helped us through the tech hurdles. There was zero, and I mean Zero pressure to move forward. She only wanted to make sure we were educated and experienced the test drive. They say these cars sell themselves, but not without employees like Naz leading the pack. Tesla has a GEM on their hands with Naz, and I hope they request her help in training their national employees. A lot of locations don't have great ratings - I hope they listen to me and notice their most shining employee. Ordered our Model Y after years of contemplation! Excited to pick it up. PS. What can I say? I traded in my Dodge Scat Pack last year and bought a Model 3 Performance AWD. In 12 months I have driven to Florida twice as well hopping on the ferry multiple times to Boston, the car is still rock solid. Let's not get it twisted, the build quality isn't the same as a Mercedes. I decided to get the car clear wrapped and ceramic coated for better paint protection. What do I miss from my last car? First, there is no maintenance. No oil changes, belt changes, fluid changes, nada. Fill the car up with zaps and drive. If I'm commuting 300 miles per week, the operating costs are very low. Tesla isn't for everyone. And trust me, I have heard every weird opinion from people who just don't know about EVs. My next car, I am looking to buy another V8. So disappointed. After 3 Tesla purchases, 1 referral to my brother for his Tesla purchase you would think as a loyal customer they would be interested in retaining customers. Wrong. My husband purchased a new model Y today after I referred him (which the $500 credit was supposed to be applied as a referral fee). We also were under the impression we would also get the FSD feature as it was ALSO advertised via their Tesla app. After picking up our new car, my husband reached out since neither of these promotions had synced to our account yet. We then come to find that we weren't eligible for either promotion. Although it was promoted all over our app?! After speaking to a rep over at Tesla, nothing was rectified. Only made excuses for the misleading advertisements and said next time we should speak to an account manager (like we would know to do that?). There's no care for customer loyalty at Tesla clearly. Moving forward we will be taking our business elsewhere and will no longer buy Tesla products. They don't care about their customers and seemingly lie to sucker people into deals. Amazing service from the sale to delivery to service! Wouldn't buy or service a vehicle anywhere else

We had the worst ever experience from this shop. We dropped our model X in the morning for some minor door work for water leaking. Pick up same day at night, there is a huge damage . We informed the technician and they said to leave the car there and they would get back to us. 2 days later, they called back and said according to their video footage in the parking lot. The damage did not happened in their lot. This is a BIG LIE!!! We asked for video footage, they said due to privacy issues, they won't be able to release the footage. We went home to check our door camera and confirmed that when we left our home that morning, the car has no damage. When we checked our car camera, they either turned off our camera or erase the recordings. There is nothing we can do while our car is damage in their hand. This is very frustrating and an example of how Tesla bully their customers. Please be careful and do the steps to cover yourself before you trust Tesla with your car. terrible customer service. I have purchased 4 cars from this place since 2019. They have been excellent I. The past but this past experience while buying a model y was by faaaaar the worst. Not only do they not care about the customer concerns BUT they try to justify it. The "refer and earn" is not honored if you refer a family member. I was also denied FSD and supercharge for 3 months because I online ordered my car that was in the INVENTORY. will not be coming back as a customer. read more

Normally I don't post anything negative but this dealership deserves it. Not even 1 star but zero wasn't an option. Recently we drove past this dealership and saw a lot flush with cars and we chuckled. Last fall my wife had the notion of going electric so we went to this Tesla, we walked in and found the sales staff hanging about looking like a cross between beautiful Abercrombie and Fitch people and the geniuses at the Apple store. We tried to ask questions but found basically all they knew was there is no motor in the car. We ask for a test drive.....no not possible....make an appointment.....why there are 4 cars out front lets get in one and drive , plus, we don't see any other customers here. Nope, can't test drive. At that point we both felt that we were not the desired client for Tesla smithtown, two professionals with doctorate degrees in their late sixties so we left. We no longer desire tesla and she bought herself a gas powered BMW. So maybe their great sales team is responsible for the lot chuck full of new cars. Miserable experience. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. The sales associate that helped us was rude (we didn't know we had to make an appointment and despite the fact that she had no appointments at the time of our visit, she made it seem as if we were an inconvenience). She did not explain the various models, how the cars worked and would only allow us to test drive one of the vehicles (mind you, there were only two different vehicles to test drive and see). We really wanted a Tesla, so we proceeded in sending the deposit in and joining the 3.5 month long wait list. We had to do this through their website at the dealership. Their wifi barely worked. It took over an hour to complete the necessary forms. For such a technologically innovative company, you'd think they would have decent wifi. I would also like to add that the dealership was very dirty - walls, floors and bathroom. From there, we ordered charging products from the website, since you can't buy them in person at the dealership. They arrived broken in shoddy boxes. The dealership never got back to me on helping me return them. Luckily I was able to speak with someone via email after googling, who sent me return labels. It's been a few weeks and I'm still waiting for my refund. I already bought a car from another dealership. I wouldn't give this dealership my money if they were the last available option out there. Unlike the 1 star reviewers my experience at the Smithtown service center has been excellent. I have been there on 3 separate occasions 1 rattle in dash 2 door check strap replacement 3 Connectivity Card replacement Each visit went smooth. Service technicians and advisers were professional and courteous. I was lent a nice Model S for half a day during the last visit. Not sure what the reviewer was talking about in regards to a dirty facility but that was definitely not the case. It seemed up to standard during all three visits. Scheduling service was easy via mobile app and communication was efficient. I also had the same pleasurable and efficient experience picking up my car at the Manhasset. Great Service!!! Had a Problem Friday night dropped it off Saturday morning got a loaner and was fixed and picked up on Sunday

If you need to bring in your Tesla for service and have a question, DO NOT bring your car to this service center. I had an issue with my mobile charger and went to the service center for some insight and in no means was looking for a free replacement, I assumed I would have to buy a new charger. When I arrived to the service center the representative Kardashian (she specifically said to spell it with a K with a nice smile and attitude when I asked) already seemed annoyed to be present. I explained my charger situation to which I was met with a distinct attitude and immediately felt as if I am not welcome in the service center. I was asked if i bought the charger online to which I responded "no" and explained I purchased in person at the service center. She began to tell me that there is no history of my receipts and I asked curiously why to which she responded, "you said you bought the charger here so you pull up the receipt". When i began to search my email on my phone I let out a sigh, and the response I get is not typically normal for a service professional let alone a way to talk to a human being who is talking to you with respect and politeness. I get the response,"OH NO WE ARE NOT DOING THAT HERE UH UH". Meanwhile while this is going on I hear other representatives raising their voices at customers on the phone, speaking disrespectfully, and then talking about you when you get off the phone. If you are the individual who called on 4/5/2024 at around 12:30PM, when you hung up the phone to speak with a manager the representative who hung up said, "this guys a dick, he said he will only speak to a fucking manager". I walk out of the service center into the showroom after realizing this is not going to get anywhere and this lady has no professionalism and clearly has no respect to talk to customers at your place of business. Now, this is the funny part. I walk into the showroom and am greeted by two wonderful, professional sales representatives who I explain the situation to and are understanding and utmost apologetic as they see I am rattled by this. Now when Kardashian said she can't find my receipts of purchase, the sales representative pulled up the exact date, time and location of my purchase within 20 seconds of him being on his computer. This is the professionalism I expect and appreciate and they very politely explained the issue to me in a way that two human beings talk. When I was in the showroom explaining this Kardashian also walked in and said "MMHMM THAT's ME" as if she is proud of her actions and believes she handled the situation correctly. I guess that's the professionalism you expect from a "professional" with names tattooed on their neck. I have received more respect for mechanics covered in oil in the burning heat than I did from this service rep who sits in an air condition garage all day with electric vehicles that she definitely cannot name a single component of. To finish off this terrible experience, I overheard another representative say that their is no manager available to talk, but when the sales representative was handling the situation, he got on the phone with him right away and they even offered me a discount. To the sales representatives at this service center, thank you for your professionalism. Avoid talking to Kardashian by any means necessary, trust me you will enjoy your day and have a better experience. read more

Phone lines don't work, if you own a Tesla and need a service you have to drive up to the dealership just to make an appointment or schedule a mobile one and pay the premium of a technician coming to your house. Ridiculous I can't call the dealership read more

Brought my car in for them to do a recall on a part, appointment was supposed to be about 2 hours long. 45 minutes after the appointment was supposed to be over my car was still not ready, I had to reach out twice before they finally called to tell me that the technician crashed my car into a tool rack and had to be sent to a bodyshop for repairs. 11 days later they call to tell me that my car is repaired and ready for pickup. I go to pick up my car and it's trunk is now crooked, they fully admit to me that they never checked the car after it came back to the service center. They send my car back to the body shop for the repair to be completed properly. 6 more days pass and my car is finally ready to take home. I go to pick it up and for my difficulty of having to come back multiple times, an old loaner with a horrible battery life, and my car now having been in an accident, they were only able to offer me a free car wash at my next visit. My mother in-law ordered a tesla and was suppose to pick the car up on Sunday afternoon. We tried to contact the dealership to try and change the delivery date because she had Chemo the Wednesday before and she would be feeling horrible on Sunday. Try as we might we cannot call the dealer direct. You can only call the call center. They told us several times she must take delivery on Sunday or lose the car. Plot thickens. Now a hurricane is coming in on said Sunday as well. Again call the call center where we are again told to pick the car up on Sunday. They can keep their car with customer service like that. read more
