I highly recommend Globe for all of your transmission needs. I was out camping in Sturbridge when…read moremy truck got stuck in 4 wheel drive while towing my trailer. I contacted Globe and they took my truck in right away. They quickly diagnosed the issue and got my truck back into 2 wheel drive. This was accomplished by unplugging the electric motor for the transfer case and cleaning it. The electric motor might be failing, but instead of charging me $1,000 to replace it they informed me to not switch out of 2 wheel drive until I get closer to home (about 120 miles away). Globe did not even charge me for the repair! They saved my vacation and kept me mobil. I can't thank them enough for that... this is an amazing company that cares about their customer. At 111k miles my 2013 Ram 2500 had a transmission issue that forced it into "limp mode" which only…read moreallows 4th and reverse gears (so you can get it to service). I brought to Talcot Transmissions in West Hartford and they charged me $145 to "diagnose" it. They claimed the transmission needed to be removed and completely rebuilt for and additional cost of $5600. I had doubts whether all the work was needed so I brought the truck to AAMCO of East Hartford. At AAMCO Steph did a free check and diagnosed a problem with the solenoid pack. The problem was repaired with new parts and works great (for $1525 including tax). Thanks to AAMCO and no thanks to Talcot Transmissions.

Brought my mom's Subaru here after our usual mechanic (and the backup mechanic) were booked up for…read moreweeks on end. These guys told me exactly what was wrong with my car, and it wasn't pretty: something with the EVAP system/gas tank, and it would require taking off the rear subframe to get at it. Every step of the process was laid out in detail and The job was even done 5 days earlier than quoted! The shop was even nice enough to make some extra repairs for no charge as a military discount! The inside of the shop was sparkling sparkling and clean and the wonderful auto mechanics were friendly and always kept me up to date with the status of my vehicle! The invoicing was absolutely flawless and I was charged exactly what was quoted. In fact, I paid less than quoted, considering the extra repairs done as a military discount! The warranty is very considerate and generous, right along the lines with what the dealership itself offered.
