Unfortunately my a/c unit died last week. I was referred to Terry's AC & Heating by a co worker who used them during the freeze and he was blown away by the service he received. I already had a bid to replace my a/c and heater so I decided i better get a 2nd opinion. My co worker talked to Robert Terry and provided him with a copy of the estimate I had been given by another company. Robert immediately wrote a replace quote and emailed it to me that blew the other company out of the water. This let me know he really wanted my business by being so timely. Actually I don't even remember the other companies name...LOL...Robert told me he wanted to check out my a/c unit before he would recommend replacing it and determined I did need a new unit. I had gotten my 20 years of service out of the old unit. Robert could not install the new a/c unit for a few days and as a courtesy he brought and installed 2 portable a/c unit so we would be comfortable until he could install my unit. WHO DOES THAT????....He explained ever thing to us so we never had a reason to ask any questions. His estimate was clear and explained our warranties. Robert was constantly calling prior to the installation to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything or had any questions. He explained what time they were coming and how long the installation would take. After the installation he called to make sure everything was working properly and to confirm we were happy with his service. In the past I would use whoever had a special to service my a/c unit. We bought our house last August 2020 and we knew that purchasing it we had A/C unit issues. We called Terry's A/C from their positive reviews online. Desperate (and Hot) we asked them to come out and tells us what they thought. Now mind you the house is older and so is the Unit. They said that they could take a look and let me know. And a small miracle later they had my extremely hot house cooling off in no time! It didn't cost me a new unit either. Just some replacement parts and labor. Now moving forward a couple of months we noticed that the unit had a bad vibration that was causing the grill to crack. Once again we called Terry's and they came out and looked at it and agreed we could probably be wise to just by a grill for the top. Back and cooling. Then over the holidays we were gifted a smart thermostat. So we hooked it up and the heating , which is has worked fine but nothing on the A/C side. Not needing cooling ( especially over the winter storm ) we forgot about the A/C until this week when it started getting hot again. I did not hesitate to call Terry's and the next day they came out and figured out the new thermostat had shorted out the system. And a little while later we are cooling again! I never do reviews but they have been so good to us that I could not tell everyone that needs help like We did. Especially since we moved here from NC and did not have the privilege of knowing people. They are very dependable and try hard to make your life comfortable without depleting your bank account... will definitely call next time we have a problem. Just hope it's not too soon read more

I have used Terry's AC and Heating for years, starting with Rex, Rex and Robert and now Robert and Kenny. They have always done a great job. In particular they always provide different cost options and solutions. Over the years they have fixed old units, even adapting new, available parts, when the original parts were not available. Then when necessary swapping out one of the units with a compatible one, when it would have been easier, but much more expensive, to replace the entire system. This last year, I had them switch out my old system with a new, high efficiency system. It then made sense to do given the repairs needed and cost and availability of the refrigerant. That said, it wasn't the most high tech unit, since my house couldn't utilize all of those features, just the best for my home. They have always answered my questions and discussed possible options and I have always felt I got the best solution. I recommend them highly. read more

I'm not much of a review girl, but this had to be done! The day our A/C went out (middle of August), I spiraled into a complete panic! Honestly, I don't even remember how I got connected with Robert, but thank goodness I did! He literally came out the same day to diagnose and had parts ordered for the next day install. This guy was amazing. Not only was he SUPER PROFESSIONAL, but he was also very kind and explained what was happening. The part that needed to be replaced was big & bulky. We have exclusively used Terry A/C & Heating for 12 years and have never been disappointed. They have what is pretty rare among A/C companies - integrity. They do not look at a service call as an opportunity to sell you a new system. Numerous times they have made a repair and said we could get a few more years out of the equipment before it needed to be replaced. And when they do need to replace something, they don't oversell you on more/better than you need. They are also extremely responsive and reliable - when you have a serious problem, they are very good at prioritizing their workload. Very Professional and delivered excellent service. When I discovered a leak coming from our A/C unit, I called Terry's A/C & Heating. Robert arrived at the subsequent scheduled appointed time and quickly diagnosed the issue. The cause of the leak was an improperly installed plenum which required replacement. The unit was under warranty (through Builder) at the time. However Robert made adjustments to the unit that stopped the leaking which bought me time to deal with Builder. The plenum was replaced shortly after I submitted my request to Builder along with Robert's detailed diagnosis. I will be using his service for future and ongoing maintenance of my unit. read more

We have dealt with Terry's AC ever since we moved into the neighborhood approximately 10 years ago. It is a family-owned and operated business that is extremely competent, professional and fair. Most recently, we dealt with both Rob (who is the current owner and son of the original owner) and one of his techs, Kenny regarding the installation of a new A/C system and heat pump. As always, they were terrific, as was the individual in their office (I think his name was Bobby) who we dealt with over the phone. Terry's is the place to call if you need a/c service. They returned my call right away and sent Kenny out to check our A/C which had made a funny noise. After a complete check inside the house and the unit (they took off the cover) I learned the noise was a fluke. Then Kenny redid the wiring which another service company had left very badly done. I paid them only the $70 inspection fee and felt very satisfied with the service. Of the two companies I called, only Terry's returned my call. Lucky me...Terry's is the best. The fan motor on our A/C unit had stopped working and I called a company that I had used to replace my plumbing. They sent their A/C sales rep who informed me they couldn't repair my A/C because they couldn't get the part and even if they could it would be about $4000.00. They recommended we buy a new A/C unit. We said we would need a second opinion and that's when we found Ron and Terry's A/C. Rob got us the motor fan and it cost in the $700.00 range. After a recent move, I discovered Terry's AC on Yelp and couldn't have done better. They responded quickly, didn't overdiagnose and require expensive replacements, and ultimately resolved the issue by finding a very small, hairline crack on a small component. Rob and Bobby are just a class act, and we're a customer for life. The guys installed a 5 ton packaged AC/heating unit in the covered patio at our restaurant, The '401 Table & Tap. Along with retractable shades, we can finally utilize our patio on the west side of our restaurant, where the afternoon sun is just brutal. We had a great experience with our complete system replacement. Robert was very prompt, thorough, and professional. We discussed the pros and cons for multiple options and he provided quotes for each option.
