Primm Nevada

Primm Nevada

Primm Nevada in its hayday was a great place to stop, shop and play…read more With several thrill rides and even a free tram that took you back and fourth over the freeway. As a child I was amazed at all this place had to offer including the buffalo shaped pool at Buffalo Bills. Primm was always the better property between Buffalo Bills and Whiskey Pete's and pricing reflected that. Their players program was aggressive and generous. If you played even the bare minimum for a few minutes you were guaranteed a future free comp for a room and a meal at their restaurants. The arcades were always state if the art and features Sega and Neo Geo Games! Parents would leave their kids unattended with a roll of quarters. Eventually, Primm and the surrounding properties declined in popularity as fewer and fewer guests visited. You could tell by the traffic and parking lots that this place was no longer a preferred place for guests to visit. Even the gas stations were dead. With prices well above Vegas, people knew to just keep driving to save a few bucks. Primm will eventually become a ghost town which is sad because it will live on in my memories. Thanks for all the fun times and last opportunities to get even before heading home. My hope is that a new owner comes in and decides to revamp this place and somehow find a way to make it a must stop attraction. It deserves it. The employees who will be laid off, good luck. I hope you find work immediately. Thanks Primm, Buffalo Bills and Whiskey Pete's. Stateline legends.

A FUN STOP & SHOP! Primm is a favorite of mine in Nevada as it's a popular gateway to the state…read more It's got good food and neat little spots to take a break. I like Whiskey Pete's Casino and Resort, it's got cool Bonnie and Clyde fare/history. Buffalo Bill's is also fun, although it can be a ghost resort sometimes. Primm has an amazing rest stop/visitor center. It's got Starbucks, Las Vegas' famous Pinkbox Doughnuts, clean restrooms, and a sizable convenience store. I always stop in Primm whether I'm leaving or visiting Vegas! It's a must-stop. Sometimes I forget something in Vegas and I can buy it in Primm. (especially Pinkbox). Primm is about 40 mins away from Las Vegas, it's not too long of a drive if you decide to stay here and drive to Vegas every day you're visiting the area. Primm has the freeway run right through it so it's easy access to Vegas. Would I live here? Not really, it's very touristy and honestly I'm a city boy. Vegas is one of my favorite cities in this country so obviously I would live there instead.

This is the home to the world's largest thermometer and Alien Fresh Jerky. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have driven past this place but never stopped. Now, I like aliens just as much as the next guy, but it was one of those places that I really had no reason to top of. But let me tell you, I am so glad that I did. In addition to having probably the largest selection of beef jerky next to buc-ee's, this place has more alien stuff than you can shake a stick at. Honestly, this place really does look like it belong on the Vegas strip with its big LED signs and alien motif all throughout the exterior. Additionally, they are in the process of building a UFO hotel. I'm going to tell you this. I will be there as one of the first guests in line when this thing opens up. Let's talk about the jerky for a second, they're not kidding when they say it's fresh. I have purchased multiple bags here on multiple occasions, and I got to tell you this is some of the best beef jerky you can ask for. It's super tasty, and not like that really nasty hard stuff you buy out of gas station convenience store, this stuff really is fresh. I don't know how to quantify alien fresh, but this jerky iis probably some of the best I've ever had. Tons of different flavors and heat levels for every person's taste. Bottom line? This place Is definitely the place to stop when you're out on the road going to or from Las Vegas from Orange county. Honestly, It's a perfect pit stop.

There's a few alien photo ops, and a lot of the merch and snacks inside are alien-themed. They also have a nice selection of hot sauces. We tried some kettlecorn and some jerky. The kettlecorn was good and comes from Maw and Paws, which has another location around where we live so it was very familiar. The jerky was super tender. Everyone ate it up.
